This week, we welcome Susan Wheeler to the Rhode Runner family! We have all heard the adage, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade". Often, that is easier said than done. However, Susan has proven time and time again that it can be done. As you can find in Susan's book, The Lemonade Diet, she was handed bushels of lemons...enough so that she has been able to make lemonade to share with all of us! One example is a debilitating accident that resulted in breaking practically every bone in her body, including her back, as well as shattering her pelvis. 6 years later, she began running, and has gone on to run more than 25 marathons, half-marathons, and ultra-marathons! And if you read her book (which I highly recommend), this only scratches the surface of what she's been through. We all go thro This week, we welcome Susan Wheeler to the Rhode Runner family! We have all heard the phrase “when life gives you lemons make lemonade”, right? Well, making lemonade is not always the easiest thing to do. In this week’s episode, we have an inspiring conversation with Susan V. Wheeler about the lemons thrown her way and how she was able to use the those lemons to make her life sweeter. Susan is a life-long entrepreneur, mindset coach, author of 'The Lemonade Diet,' mom of four and grandmother of seven. She shares the circumstances that led her to marriage and motherhood, all before the age 18. We discuss the debilitating accident that shattered her pelvis and broke her back, but did not break her spirit. Her story encourages us to embrace change, face our fears, let things go, and live in our full potential.
Guys...this episode is a HISTORIC one. My guest this week has an impressive resume that includes being the leader of an 8-figure sales team with nearly 40,000 customers/distributors, the author of The Lemonade Diet, an Ultra-Marathon Runner, and a Mindset Guru...but the most impressive feat of all is that she has survived the near-impossible mission of being my mother! Mom and I talk about her background and adversities she has overcome, her various business ventures, marathon running, the book writing process, and much more. This episode is loaded with nuggets of great advice and takeaways to help you elevate your game! To connect with my momma, you can visit her website https://susanvwheeler.com/ or follow her on Facebook. You can also grab a copy of her book The Lemonade Diet on Amazon!

Some of us will choose to make lemonade while the rest will become so sour that we allow these circumstances to spoil our life. They steal our joy, rob us of belief, limit our power, dash our dreams and in turn, we become bitter, sour, weak and hopeless. We do less and we settle for less. We forget that this is our life and we are in the driver’s seat when we allow the aftermath of these circumstances to take the wheel. Support this podcast
