Kaôh F***ing Rong Rewatch Ep 10 Survivor: Kaôh R?ng heats up as Rob Cesternino and Chappell return for another episode of Kaôh F***ing Rong, diving straight into one of the most unforgettable Tribal Councils of the season. With idols flying, alliances fracturing, and a super idol twist hanging in the balance, the episode spotlights Tai's game-changing decision not to play the super idol for Scott Pollard—sending shockwaves through camp and landing Scott on the jury with a hidden idol still in his pocket. Rob and Chappell dig deep into the mechanics and missteps of the Scott, Jason, and Tai trio, dissecting how a group armed with three idols and numbers still winds up outmaneuvered by the opposing alliance. The hosts highlight Aubry's impressive strategic and social gameplay, noting her quiet but crucial efforts to sway Tai and drive the vote, while Julia's double-agent play nearly seizes control for the other side. The show takes a look at the Survivor editors' role in crafting suspense, transforming a straightforward blindside into pure television gold. Rob and Chappell don't shy away from discussing the edit's effect on perceptions of Aubry and Michele, and they dig into the vital questions of who's really reading the game correctly. Key points include: – Tai's hesitation in playing the super idol and its fallout for Scott and Jason – How three idols failed to protect the alliance in back-to-back blindsides – Aubry's sneakily effective pitch to Tai and her evolving edit as a potential winner – Julia's risky maneuvers as the season's double agent and her strategic split-vote plan – The absence of a loved ones visit and the surprisingly plentiful food rewards this season With blindsides mounting and lines redrawn in the sand, Rob and Chappell question whether the big players are keeping up with the fast-evolving game or if another shocker is just one vote away. Can Aubry continue her strategic surge, or will Michele and Julia flip the script? Host: Darryl S. Chutka, M.D. Guest: Joshua M. Romero, M.D. Pickleball has become one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S., especially among older adults. This rapid rise in popularity has also resulted in a significant number and variety of sports-related injuries. It's important for primary care clinicians to recognize the most common injuries and their risk factors. We should also discuss preventive strategies with our patients to reduce their risk of injury. Is pickleball so dangerous or do the many injuries result from the popularity of the sport? What health conditions often seen in older individuals place them at increased risk of injury? What are some practical preventive strategies we can recommend to our patients who are planning to start playing the sport? I'll get answers to these questions from my guest, Dr. Joshua Romero, a sports medicine physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic. Connect with us! This week, Richard Graves is joined by Anna Cruse, Assistant Athletics Director for Applied Health and Performance Science and Director of Football Performance Science at the University of Utah. Anna's route into sports science began as an international-level rower. Her interest in training, performance and data eventually took her from competing for the United States to helping develop the systems that support athletes across 19 sports at Utah. In this episode, Anna explains how Utah has moved from manual data exports and generalised reporting to faster, integrated workflows that deliver relevant information to coaches and practitioners. She discusses why collecting more data is not always the answer, the importance of educating decision-makers and how greater context can prevent practitioners from drawing the wrong conclusions from a metric. The conversation also explores individual athlete baselines, the limitations of fixed asymmetry thresholds and the need to make data specific to the athlete, position and sport. Anna also shares her perspective on artificial intelligence, including where it can improve performance workflows and why it should never replace qualified human judgement. In this episode you will learn How Anna moved from international rowing into applied sports science Why Utah only collects data it can use to support athletes or performance How the university delivers performance information across 19 different sports Why coaches and support staff must understand the context behind every metric How Utah has developed more sport-, position- and athlete-specific reporting Why fixed thresholds can be misleading when assessing asymmetry How integrated performance teams can make better use of limited resources Where AI can support practitioners without replacing their expertise Why athlete welfare must remain central to every performance decision How strong systems create more time for meaningful analysis About Anna Cruse Anna Cruse is Assistant Athletics Director for Applied Health and Performance Science and Director of Football Performance Science at the University of Utah. A former elite lightweight rower, Anna represented the United States at the World Rowing Under-23 Championships before moving into coaching, performance science and data analytics. Her career has included experience with the Philadelphia Union, Penn State and exercise intelligence company Svexa. At Utah, Anna helps lead the systems used to collect, interpret and communicate performance information across the university's athletic programme. Her work focuses on turning data into useful decisions while ensuring that technology and analysis remain grounded in good science and the needs of the individual athlete. Injuries, redshirts, and getting passed over are not glitches in the system. They are the system. The athletes who last are the ones who stay, compete, and keep showing up when every excuse says walk away.Welcome to Oak Performance Radio, where we talk about what it really takes to perform at a high level. The show looks at training, preparation, and decision-making through real athletes, coaches, and experiences, on and off the field.Episode HighlightsIn today's episode, Adam Lane sits down with Division II right side Molle Hobson and outside hitter Bree Messenger to get brutally honest about college volleyball. They walk through double ACL tears, redshirting, losing a spot to a fifth year, and why they stayed instead of jumping in the transfer portal. They break down the real difference between Division I and Division II, how coaching communication and team culture decide your experience, and what recruits and parents need to be asking before they commit anywhere.Episode OutlineIntroduction and Host WelcomeBrie's Injury and College ExperienceMolle's College Experience and RedshirtingTeam Dynamics and Recruiting AdviceChallenges and Lessons LearnedAdvice for Future AthletesFinal Thoughts and Future PlansEpisode Chapters00:00 Intro00:27 Meet Molle and Bree01:49 Molly's path to St. Cloud State02:52 Bree's VC United and UCM journey04:02 Senior year ACL tear and missed freshman season06:48 Second ACL tear and rebuilding identity08:53 Finding value while injured and on the sideline11:46 What injury taught Bree about leadership17:16 Molle's redshirt year and mental battles20:32 Losing the spot to a fifth year and handling it28:45 D1 vs D2 reality and choosing the right fit40:01 How to evaluate coaches, teams, and social media55:40 Adam's message on the weight room and no regrets1:00:27 Where to follow Molle and BreeConclusionMolle and Bree show what happens when you do not get the clean, straight line you pictured. Their path has included surgeries, sitting, and hard coaching decisions, but they stayed, asked for honest feedback, and kept doing the work. The big takeaway is simple: pick an environment where you are coached as a person, stay accountable for your effort in the gym and on the court, and be willing to fight for your spot without bailing the second it gets uncomfortable.Action TakenBree returns from two ACL reconstructions, gets fully cleared, and commits to attacking a real on court season instead of letting injuries write the ending.Molle heads into her junior year ready to fight for the right side spot after sitting behind a fifth year, with clear feedback from her coach on where she stands. Both athletes commit to:Staying at programs where they are known as people, not just numbers.Owning their role, even when that role is injured, redshirted, or benched. For athletes and parents, they outline concrete steps:Ask direct questions on visits about playing time, communication, and how coaches handle injuries.Spend time stalking rosters and social media to see how the team actually lives, trains, and treats each other.Stop chasing the D1 label and chase the right fit, culture, and staff.Adam reinforces:If you skip the weight room, you are choosing to leave performance and durability on the table.Training, sleep, and taking care of your body are part of your job, not extras.CTASubscribe to Oak Performance Radio and share this with a player or parent who is in the middle of recruiting and needs a straight answer about D1 vs D2.Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/oakperformancelabInstagram: @oakperformanceConnect with Molle and Bree:@breemessenger44@mollie.hobson Thank you for listening to Oak Performance Radio. Key points include: – Julia's exile and its immediate impact on alliances and strategy – Tai's dilemma over using his idol for Anna, and Scott's push for big idol moves down the line – How Peter puts a massive target on his own back by alienating everyone – The return of old-school challenges and why fans miss them – Debbie's unique confessional moments and her status as a recurring Survivor legend The swap shakes everything up: are new alliances for real, or is another blindside about to hit?
