In today's episode, CEO Justin Lorencz and Founder Daniel Story discuss what's new with HomeJoy, helping out new owners, and the process of joining HomeJoy.Now that it's the midst of summer and things have been opening up around the country, it's time to enjoy some outside activities once again. Both Justin and Daniel catch us up on their outdoors exploits and new hobbies before getting into what's new with HomeJoy.The first of the summer's family meetings with new franchise owners have been starting up. Both Justin and Daniel have begun meeting with owners to have help prepare them for what's next on their journey. Within their first few meetings Justin realized that, while it is still important, the business aspect seems to be secondary for those he has met with. It's about caring for your people and loving what you do. It's also a great way to help lay the groundwork for growth and start planning next steps. Do you need to bring in more people? Do you need to start scouting locations? Take the time to do what you need to do as a leader to grow.Next up, Daniel interviews Justin about what the process is to start up with HomeJoy. It's called The Discovery Process and contains 8 steps. It isn't something you want to rush; it's a big decision and you need to make sure it's right for you. It's usually a 60-to-90-day process with a franchise fee of $40,000. It involves getting to know each other, understanding each other's goals, and learning through a combination of virtual and in person meetings.Justin and Daniel end the show by discussing how important it is to be open about what you are looking for and how HomeJoy can work for you.Website: HomeJoyEmail: info@homejoy.care

In today’s episode, CEO Justin Lorencz and Founder Daniel Story will be discussing what’s been going on with COVID-19.Justin asks how HomeJoy is trying to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while remaining active. Answering this, Dan explains the benefits of shifting to remote work combined with strict precautionary measures when in-person work is needed. According to the state of Michigan’s latest letter, since HomeJoy works with seniors in places such as nursing homes and assisted living, their workers are considered direct care workers. However, our hosts tell us about a more accurate category. According to Justin and Daniel, HomeJoy has modified their methodology in order to stay safe and have been receiving many inquiries about their opening hours and activity during this period. They stress the necessity of protecting people and their commitment to follow all the strict required measures.Justin and Daniel speak about how honorable it is to help the elderly and share with us some of their favorite experiences. During team day, everyone seemed to be outgoing and cooperative; our hosts believe that this is reflective of the team spirit they have.As everybody has been suffering during this viral outbreak and people were significantly affected, Justin and Daniel suggest that people should attempt to achieve independence rather than staying bound to their bosses or employers. They advise people to contact them so that they can learn more about the opportunities with HomeJoy and how they would help the new recruits become more successful.
