I am starting Art with Anvi because art isn’t given a lot of importance in school whether it’s dance, music, or studio art. I hope that speaking to some accomplished artists will show us the importance of art and inspire us to incorporate it into our lives. My podcast will also highlight the influence that art has on mental health and focus on the convergence of these two topics. Music: Zen Garden by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
We're back with another episode of Art With Anvi! I sat down with Stuthi Iyer, a Bharatanatyam dancer, a poet, a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, and a guaranteed admit at its medical school. Stuthi discloses her favorite poets, dancers, novels, and much more during the Rapid Fire segment. Following this, we dive right into the Q&A, where Stuthi reveals how Indian Classical dance has helped her connect to her culture and heritage, the poetry she has written and published, and the connection between art and mental health!
In the final episode of Art with Anvi for 2020, I chat with Shreya Bhatia, a singer and recent graduate from Duke University. We start off with a Rapid Fire Round where Shreya gives us some enthralling answers relating to the pandemic, her passion for medicine, and more about her interest in Hindustani Classical and Bollywood music. Then, Shreya sings a beautiful ghazal which will surely captivate the audience! Following this, we jump into the Q&A round where we discuss more about Shreya's TV show, "The Musical Mind", the convergence of music and medicine, specifically mental health, her role models, and much more!

In this month's episode of Art With Anvi, I sit down with Eliza Poggi, a singer and sophomore at Yale University and a National Cathedral School alumna. In the first segment, Eliza and I start with a Rapid Fire Round to get to know some information about her, from her favorite song to her biggest musical influences! In the second segment, we delve deeper into her journey with choral music, how music has helped her through several challenges, changes between the National Cathedral School Girls' Choir and her Yale Glee Club, and how she's managing her academic career along with her passion for music.
In the first episode of Art with Anvi, I talk to Revati Mahurkar, a 19-year-old dancer and student at Barnard College, Columbia University. Revati and I spoke about her foundation in Kathak and how she applied it to several other dance genres, the ups and downs of the dance world and social media, and how dance has impacted other areas of her life.
