In week one of our new series, Galatians, we began walking verse by verse through this powerful letter. Looking at Galatians 1:1–10, Paul the Apostle makes it clear that while there are many false gospels competing for our attention, there is only one true gospel — the gospel of Jesus Christ. We talked about how easy it is to believe distorted versions of the gospel that add to it, subtract from it, or shift the focus onto us. But the true gospel is centered on Jesus alone. When we understand and hold onto the real gospel, it changes everything.

During our MVMT WKND breakout sessions, students had the opportunity to go deeper in understanding and engaging with the Bible. We helped students learn how to interpret the Bible correctly, teaching them how to understand context, genre, and the overall story of Scripture so they can read it with clarity and confidence. Each session equipped students with practical tools to not only read the Bible, but to understand it and build their lives on it.

During our MVMT WKND breakout sessions, students had the opportunity to go deeper in understanding and engaging with the Bible. We unpacked how the Bible was made, explaining its history, formation, and why we can trust it as God's inspired Word. We walked students through how to read the Bible devotionally — not just for information, but for transformation — giving practical tools to help them consistently spend time with God's Word. Each session equipped students with practical tools to not only read the Bible, but to understand it and build their lives on it.

In Session Two of MVMT WKND, we leaned into what happens when we truly believe God's Word. We talked about how authentic faith produces authentic change and how Scripture isn't meant to comfort our old life — it's meant to disrupt it. We also unpacked how our enemy is deceptive, but God's truth is transforming. When we know the Word and walk in it, it changes everything.

In Session One of MVMT WKND, we zoomed out and looked at the big story of the Bible. We talked about how God brings deliverance out of our dysfunction and how He has always used imperfect people to accomplish His perfect plan. No matter your past or your struggles, God isn't surprised by your story. Ultimately, we were reminded that true identity is found in Jesus — not in being the hero of our own story, but in recognizing that He already is.

In the final week of our series Tuff Questions, we answered the question, “Why does God give Satan power?”. We talked about how Satan is not equal to God, how his power is limited and temporary, and how nothing happens outside of God's authority. We also looked at how God can use even what the enemy means for evil for His purposes and our growth.

In week five of our series Tuff Questions, we answered the question, “What does the Bible say about mental health?”. We discussed how God has given us everything we need, why guarding our hearts and minds is essential, and how fear is often connected to sin. Most importantly, we were reminded that Jesus stepped into our struggle and offers real hope.

We talked honestly about what Scripture teaches while also emphasizing we must approach every conversation with grace, love, and respect for people. This conversation challenged us to follow Jesus with both truth and compassion in how we think, speak, and treat others.

In the final week of our series Fight Club, we explored the story of the rich man and Lazarus. Their story reminds us that unresolved conflict with God doesn't stay contained — it spills into every area of our lives, shaping our choices, our relationships, and even the way we see others. We were challenged to recognize how easily division grows when we don't address the tension in our hearts.

By looking at Saul's story, we learned that obedience isn't about sometimes following rules—it's about trusting His commands fully. When we surrender our own way, we open the door to God's greater purpose and blessing in our lives.

This week we kicked off our new teaching series, Heart of Kings, where we will be looking at the hearts of Old Testament Kings throughout their successes and failures. We began by diving into the heart of King David, a man after God's own heart.
