A (relatively) in-depth analysis of American lyricist, singer, songwriter and painter Carole Bayer Sager in just under thirty minutes.Bayer Sager's first recording as a singer in her own right was the 1977 album Carole Bayer Sager. It included the hit single 'You're Moving Out Today', a song which she co-wrote with Bette Midler and Bruce Roberts. The single reached number 6 in the UK Singles Chart. She was born in New York City and graduated from New York University, where she majored in English, dramatic arts, and speech. She had already written her first pop hit, 'A Groovy Kind of Love', while still a student at New York City's High School of Music and Art. It was recorded by The Mindbenders, whose version was a worldwide hit. The song was later recorded by Sonny & Cher, Petula Clark, and Phil Collins, whose rendition for the film Buster reached number one on both the UK Singles Chart in 1988.In October 2016, Bayer Sager published her memoir, They're Playing Our Song: A Memoir. She also narrated the audiobook version. In this episode I am in conversation with Dr. Andrew Webber.I hope you enjoy the podcast and do leave feedback if you like what you have heard.Mathew Woodall
Ella Hibbert (27) is very busy these days. She is working hard to get her Yeva, a steel Bruce Roberts 38 ketch, ready for a grueling solo, non-stop circumnavigation of the Arctic circle this year. This is how she describes her solo circumnavigation of the North Pole: "She will be sailing from Haslar Marina, in the Solent, up the East coast of England, to a start point on the 66.5°N latitude of the Arctic Circle between Norway and Iceland. Then, around Iceland, southern Greenland, the NotthWest Passage through Canada, across Northern Alaska, and into Russian waters. Crossing the Laptev and Kara seas (NorthEast Passage) and eventually back to her starting point near Norway, before heading down the coastline of the UK again to set foot ashore, for the first time since leaving, back in her home base of Haslar Marina, England. " The Arctic expedition has been officially endorsed by the Scientific Exploration Society. You can, and you should, follow her and maybe support her. Check out Ella in the Arctic website. Keen on sailing the Norwegian coast? You should be. Read Sail the Norwegian Coast: How and Why you should sail the most beautiful coast in the world – Kindle edition. If you need information about sailing in the high latitudes check out the book I wrote with Bob Shepton: High Latitude Sailing – Self-sufficient sailing techniques for cold waters and winter seasons.

Bruce Roberts, Next Generation Pastor at Bell Shoals Church, discusses another Roadblock- Shame. Shame is the deep sense that you are unacceptable because of something you did, something done to you, or something associated with you. It is a direct assault on the image of God and challenges our sense of worth. The acceptance of Jesus empowers us to risk the rejection of people. He was despised and rejected in every way so that we can be accepted by God in every way.

Geordie then discusses the death of Sydney hoarder Bruce Roberts who was a reclusive hoarder with a twist… Find out what cleaners found went they went into Bruce's home after he died that shook the posh Sydney suburb of Greenwich… Hint: it's TRUE CRIME!Remember, wherever you are, whatever you do, just keep Eavesdroppin'!*Disclaimer: We don't claim to have any factual info about anything ever and our opinions are just opinions not fact, soooooorrrrrryyyyyyyy! When Tracy Trudgett got the news in late 2018, she passed out. Tracy hadn't seen her brother Shane Snellman, since she visited him in prison nearly a decade before. Tracy and Shane had been separated from their father when they were just children - raised in a convent and then foster parents when the New South Wales authorities refused to let dad have the kids back due to his single parent status. Shane had not had an easy life - falling in with the wrong crowd and resorting to breaking and entering and other petty crimes, he had been released from prison in mid-2012 and then, after just a few months, seemingly fell off the face of the earth. But then Bruce Roberts died. Roberts was, according to his neighbors in the Sydney suburb of Greenwich - an oddball - a bit of a hermit and, it turned out, a rabid hoarder - as bad or worse as the kind of hoarder you see on those reality shows about hoarders. When Roberts stopped being seen in his neighborhood in 2017, police entered the home to find him dead on the floor from what the coroner determined was a heart attack. The home was filled with so much clutter and dust and filth, it was shuttered and eventually turned over to Roberts' relatives, who took well into 2018 to settle his estate. It was only then, more than a year after his death - once the family sent crews in to clean the house and prepare it for sale - did the full extent of Bruce Roberts'...er...eccentricities…come fully into the light - and the police to come knocking on Tracy Trudgett's door with the sad - and downright weird - news of her brother Shane Snellman's demise. Join Melissa as she relates the details of one hoarder's six-year secret, and the unlucky fellow who decided to break in and rob the wrong house.

It's been a long while since I originally posted the 5-set podcast, which I performed some minor updating to last year but it still needed more. Bigger, better, faster ...HARDER! Things start with Linda Eder's version of "I Am What I Am" from La Cage Aux Folles. This song was/is a rallying cry for the gay community originally made famous by Gloria Gaynor in 1983. Though I didn't use Gloria's version, a 2013 re-work of her other gay anthem "I Will Survive" does appear here and fits nicely with the late 90s early millennium vibe of this set. While the majority of these songs have appeared at one time or another in past sets, the one song I could never get worked in is the closing number. The original Bruce Roberts, Elton John, and Kristine W version of "When the Money's Gone" is one of my ALL-TIME favorites. The only version of this song that exists is in a continuous mix; one for the Junior Vasquez "White Party Album" and the other from some obnoxious "Gay Anthems" mix album. I was finally able to mix it in with the cold ending of "I'm Outta Love" and just added a blast sound effect for the cold ending of the song that was about to mix into another song from which it was taken. Not to go on and on about this but I'm tickled I finally got it to work. Some of you have sent me a note indicating you tried to donate to the site but for some reason, it wouldn't allow you. There are few things in life that are sweeter than having a vision... After being so humbled and inspired by the love shown to me either through my sets, or from many of my original compositions in those sets, this vision came to me of how exactly I wanted to put together Volume 2 of my Unloaded podcast series. I took three of my latest sets which had me unloaded to an even bigger level. So when I just recently played at my NYC hometown residency (XL Night Club), in Bahia, Brazil (Hell And Heaven Party) and in Tokyo, Japan (Glamorous Party), I had the idea to take these three journeys from different areas of the world where I really had to take those big guns out! I am new to putting up podcasts, but like all the steps I've taken throughout my career, I do not succomb to the pressure of having to conform as it restricts me from creating. I am taking a chance by not limiting or compressing the journey I want to share with all of you. You have about two hours here, and I hope that you, my friends, followers, and subscribers continue giving me your support and spreading the news to help me take my music to new places to encourage my own growth. I have included many of my most requested unreleased mashups as well as original songwriting/production compositions; many that I unfortunately cannot release on my own, but I can share them with you through my podcasts and I will be able to let you preview them individually when you go on to my new site. www.mrtanmanmusic.com It's in the early stages, so give me a chance and hit the "+" sign, reach out to me, and watch it get better every day. This is what my partners from Sugarhouse Records, my management and myself created to get a Tony Moran "all access pass". So from the podcast you'll be able to hear the never available... Queen vs. Tony Moran "No Escape from Reality" My Mashup Of "Escobar" by Danzando My New Remix of Colton Ford "Let Me Live Again" that has been blowing up the dance floors My Great friend DJ Paulo's remix of my classic with Deborah Cox, "Easy As Life" - It is soooooo HOT! My Mashup of a fierce track that my friend DJ Alex Cohen turned me on to called "Drums Of Benirras" where I threw in full on Loleatta Holloway in there. Drives people absolutely crazy! Then of course two of my favorite experiences ever; my production and songwriting moments with two of the greatest Divas of all time, Donna Summer and Cher. Donna's "Valley Of The Moon" that was written by Donna, myself and Nathan Digesere which never got to be released. Then there was awesome experience with Cher, who I recorded at the home of my greatest inspirations, David Foster. Written by Bruce Roberts, it's titled, "Love So High" and did this version that did not make it on the album for retarded reasons that is not worth getting into, but Cher herself was amazing. Thank you to all the incredible talent that I love to promote and promote me back. A young couple fleeing an arranged marriage meet up with the ghost of a railroad conductor in the swamps of North Carolina. Cast: Sarah - Heather ScheelerJosiah - Ethan WilsonPrice - Steven H. WilsonConductor - Paul BalzeBenson - Chris CarothersAngry Passenger - John Weber A note from the author: Here we return to my North Carolina heritage. The story of the light at Maco Station has been told many times in the last century and a half. I first discovered it in one of my grandmother's books of ghost stories, An Illustrated Guide to Ghosts and Mysterious Occurences in the Old North State, by Nancy and Bruce Roberts. I love train stories, so it's always been one of my favorites, and Prometheus's rendition embroiders on it, adding some history and some melodrama along the way.
