In the final week of our series Tuff Questions, we answered the question, “Why does God give Satan power?”. In week 3 of our series Fight Club, we talked about how to evaluate the conflicts in our lives so we can pursue restoration in a godly way. We were reminded that when we face conflict, we are called to walk beside those we disagree with—not above them—and to respond in a way that reflects God's character. In the end, it's not about proving our point, but about pointing others back to Jesus.

In week 2 of our series, Fight Club, we talked about what it means to take the log out of our own eye. When we ignore our own flaws, it's easy to judge others—but when we recognize our own imperfections, we open the door for God to work in us. We were reminded that God gives us a new identity, one not defined by our failures but by His grace. When we live based on that identity, we can see others, and ourselves, more clearly.

We're kicking off a brand new series called Fight Club—a real and practical look at how to handle conflict in a biblical way. In week one, we learned that before we can make peace with others, we have to first be right with God.

In this week's message, we dive into what it truly means to walk in obedience to God. By looking at Saul's story, we learned that obedience isn't about sometimes following rules—it's about trusting His commands fully. When we surrender our own way, we open the door to God's greater purpose and blessing in our lives.

In the final week of our teaching series, RSVP, we walked through the result of the gospel. We talked about what it means to "live sent," being active sharers of the good news. Sometimes that sounds bigger and more intimidating than it is. But putting the gospel into action can start with a simple invitation.

In week 3 of our series RSVP, we continued the discussion of evangelism. We focused on the pursuit of the gospel. We were challenged to get out of our comfort zone and share the greatest story ever told because the gospel changes lives!

In week 2 of our entitled RSVP, we continued the discussion of evangelism. This week we focused on the preparation behind evangelism as that is often times the most intimidating part of sharing the gospel. We learned that God has given us everything we need to be equipped to share the gospel and that it is our calling to step out boldly to reach those who have not yet heard the good news.

Over the next 4 weeks, we will discuss topics like how to evangelize, the heart behind evangelism, and the result of evangelism. Operation BBQ Relief (OBR), a nonprofit organization started by competitive barbecue chefs, steps up to meet that need, providing hot, comforting meals to people affected by natural disasters. The story of OBR began in 2011 after a massive tornado hit Joplin, Missouri. Founders, including co-founder Will Cleaver, saw an opportunity to put their skills to work, showing up with equipment and a small team of volunteers. They initially planned to serve a few thousand meals but ended up distributing over 120,000 meals in just 12 days, Cleaver recalls. This experience laid the foundation for an organization that today operates on a national scale, with a network of volunteers and partners across the country. From that first deployment, OBR has grown dramatically, having served 12 million meals in the years since. In a recent deployment in Florida, following Hurricane Melton, OBR hit the milestone of delivering 1 million meals to disaster survivors in just two weeks. With massive smokers that can cook up to 160 pork shoulders at once, OBR operates on a scale unimaginable to most, using commercial-grade equipment and an efficient, organized setup to serve up to 15,000 meals a day. "To hand someone a hot barbecue meal and see the smile on their face—it's incredibly rewarding," Cleaver shared in a recent interview on the Osprey Observer TV podcast. "Our volunteers don't just show up; they're self-sufficient, coming in with everything needed to be a support, not a burden, to the local community.” The logistical operation behind these meals is as impressive as the numbers. Volunteers can order meals for relief workers or distribution, with a simple, organized pickup process in place. Meals are ordered by quantity, coordinated, and picked up at central locations for quick, easy distribution to those who need them most. This process, combined with the team's preparation ahead of storms, enables them to provide critical, timely relief. Cleaver urges the public to get involved, whether by signing up as a volunteer, making donations, or even simply sharing their story. OBR relies heavily on financial support and partnerships, which allow them to secure and prepare meals on a large scale.
