Oh, crap. We haven't done an episode in about 2 months. Which means we haven't had a snappy episode description, either... But hey, we're back like we never left! We explain our absence, and jump right back into what we do best: acting like we know all about movies and whatnot. We review 4 movies in one episode, because we
Kevin and Sara are back this week with another Netflix film! It's Velvet Buzzsaw, a satirical horror movie that does not hit on the satire nor the horror. Listen as Kevin and Sara just tear this movie down while praising the beautiful man that is Jake Gyllenhaal. Goddamn. Anyway, enjoy!
January is a damn dead zone for movies. Most of the stuff that comes out are either bad movies, or leftovers from 2018 that studios did not want to release. So, instead of watching a bad movie for the sake of #content, we decided to just list out a few movies we're excited to see this year. I mean, technically January ends on Friday, so we did this just in time, right?
Much like the namesake of this movie, our expectations were shattered. And not in a good way! We saw Glass, directed by M. Night Shyamalan and the last of the "Eastrail 177" trilogy (or the Unbreakable trilogy, if you're not a weenie about it). Trust us, you'll like this episode more than the movie itself.
This week, Kevin and Sara get into the latest Netflix original sensation, Bird Box! The bird's out of the box: these guys thought it was okay. Give it a listen, because you can't look at the podcast or else an invisible "monster" will get you. Enjoy!
They're baaaaaaaack! Kevin and Sara are pleasantly surprised by the latest installment to the DCEU. Aquaman made quite a splash and a good show at showing us what a great DC Universe movie can be. Could this be a turning point for DC and Warner Bros?
Oh hey, we're back to whole numbers again! Isn't that swell? Anyway, Kevin and Sara just saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and they just can't contain their excitement for this movie. They also talk about the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which will give Kevin nightmares for months to come. Enjoy!
Kevin and Sara delve into the second installment of the Eastrail 177/Unbreakable trilogy, Split. We'll be back to whole numbers next week!
Part 1 of 3! This week, Kevin and Sara decide to dive into the "Unbreakable" trilogy in anticipation of the latest M. Night Shyamalan movie, Glass. To prepare, Kevin and Sara decided to review the two movies that precede Glass, starting with 2000's Unbreakable!
This week, Kevin and Sara take a trip back into the Rocky series with Creed II, the sequel to 2015's surprisingly excellent Creed! Spoiler alert: they really liked this one, too.
This week, Kevin and Sara go into Steve McQueen's latest (and certainly not greatest) movie, Widows!
This week, Kevin and Sara take a stroll through the life of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, a movie that is both frustrating and mesmerizing.
Kevin and Sara discuss Jonah Hill's mixed bag of a directorial debut, Mid90s!
This week, Kevin and Sara discuss their feelings on 2018's Halloween, a sequel/reboot of the 1978 original!
Hey, this is our first episode with a brief description of what this podcast is going to be. Check it out, won't you?
