Our journey through the making of LOST HIGHWAY continues. With cameras finally rolling, David Lynch and his collaborators pushed deeper into the surreal and the subconscious — crafting a film defined by haunting sound design, elliptical editing, and an atmosphere of pure dread. But the road ahead wasn't easy. In this episode, we follow the production through its rocky release and trace how LOST HIGHWAY, once a commercial disappointment, found new life as a cult classic that would reshape the next phase of Lynch's career.
"What a difference a day makes," says Kevin Hincks, noting Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN) earnings reversing much of Thursday's down action in Friday's premarket. One signal of trouble ahead: SNAP benefits ending on November 1st as the U.S. government shutdown enters day 31. Kevin later explains how Netflix's (NFLX) 10-for-1 stock split can ring in further trading interest.======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. 1. The Legacy of Woodrow Wilson and the Split over the League of Nations David Pietrusza 1920: The Year of the Six Presidents The 1920 election followed President Woodrow Wilson's debilitating stroke in October 1919, which left him perpetually frail. The core issue became the League of Nations, which Wilson championed but the Republican Party bitterly contested, ultimately causing public skepticism. Wilson held fierce opposition to former President Theodore Roosevelt, who died in January 1919. Roosevelt had detested Wilson's neutrality regarding German aggression. Despite his frail health, Roosevelt would have been the unstoppable Republican candidate had he lived. Wilson reacted to news of Roosevelt's death with shockingly hateful language, revealing the depth of his personal animosity toward his predecessor. 1929 Hoover Inaugural

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 63 Gary continues his discussion of Matthew 23-25 with Darren Doane. The two discussed what is known as Jesus' Olivet Discourse a few years back, and this conversation picks up where they left off, continuing through Matthew 25. Many commentators see a break in the events of Matthew 24, with part of it being fulfilled in the first century and the rest being fulfilled in our future. Is this valid? This week Greg and I kicked things off with some laughs — nursery rhymes, glazed donut Keto Brick madness, and a flood of orders rolling in. Then we got serious about training strategy. Greg's three weeks post-show, I'm deep in a building phase, and we're both mapping out a long runway toward our next competition in 2027. We talked about why competing every single year can hold you back, especially as a natural athlete — you simply can't grow if you're always cutting. From there, we broke out the notebooks and built a brand-new training split live on air: a six-day heavy/hypertrophy rotation designed to maximize growth and recovery. We walked through our personal weak points (mine's chest and delts, Greg's working glutes and hamstrings) and laid out specific movements, rep ranges, and structure — from heavy compound lifts to slow, controlled hypertrophy work.We also dove into metrics, tracking progress, and why ego lifting kills longevity. The plan includes the split, the lifts, and cardio days, maybe some rock climbing for fun conditioning. By the end, we had a full system ready to plug into the Keto Brick training app for anyone who wants to follow along.Big takeaways: prioritize long-term growth, train with intention, and don't be afraid to get technical. This new phase is about getting stronger, smarter, and better every single session.Greg Mahler is also a lifetime natural bodybuilder, and can be followed on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/ketogreg80/Register For My FREE Masterclass: https://www.ketobodybuilding.com/registration-2Get Keto Brick: https://www.ketobrick.com/Subscribe to the podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/42cjJssghqD01bdWBxRYEg?si=1XYKmPXmR4eKw2O9gGCEuQ

Send us a textToday we begin our coverage of the Wicked 5-book universe by Gregory Maguire. We're diving into political fantasy like we never have before, just in time to watch Wicked for Good with all of you! Check out our latest Tuesday full length episode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Z1NeJej2k all about why books and reading are inherently political, why it's not only important to acknowledge this, but to read our favorite books through this lens, and how Maguire uses the fantastical to expertly critique issues like authoritarianism, colonialism, and racism. We also provide a bit of context by discussing what political happenings were taking place when Wicked was written, and what influences the Wizard of Oz and L. Frank Baum may have had on this more current work. In this episode we dive into book one: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West in which we experience the hostile takeover of Oz by the Wizard, a fascist dictator, through the eyes of Elphaba, the flawed and ultimately the unfortunate martyr to the resistance. Who were our favorite and least favorite characters and plot points? Do we think these books can be separated from politics just because they're fantasy? What philosophical questions are posed? And what literary devices does Maguire use to critique government structures and the ensuing “isms?”Fantasy tales can be so much more than surface level storytelling, and often are. We're here to discover why! Listen on for our reviews of book one, our deep dive reactions, and fun facts about the book that started the Wicked phenomena!WICKED Movie 1 VS Book? | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqvJvfaD61A Don't be shy, subscribe!
