As a cinematographer himself, Holben used this extraordinary privilege to not only discuss the ins-and-outs of a particular movie being covered, but to "pick the brains" of the best cinematographers on the planet. This rather selfish approach to his journalism afforded Holben the chance to fill his creative toolbox with tips and techniques from the true masters of the art. These treasures of movie magic were printed in the pages of American Cinematographerover the past 27 years, but they have now all been collected into a single volume.Lessons From American Cinematographer brings the reader back to every interview and AC story highlighting those special tips and techniques that Holben learned. It's like opening a secret vault to a secret collection of tips and techniques handed down from the artisans of motion picture photography in your hands. A perfect companion to Holben's extremely popular Shot Craft series, Lessons From American Cinematographer provides the reader a lifetime of masterclasses in a single volume. With basically no plan Plumbing the Death Star launch into the question today. How would you redesign Aquaman? For what? Who knows. Zammit wants him bald and mutilated, possibly so he more resembles a fish, or maybe for some other esoteric reason known only to him. Jackson sees him as a fisherman of sorts, forgetting that fishermen are the enemy of fish and fish are the friend of Aquaman, and Duscher goes full ‘lympics and also gets very frustrated with the boys. Do they come up with anything concrete? Who can say. Is it a classic episode of Plumbing the Death Star, liable to be entered into everyone's top 10 list? Also debatable.Links to everything in our linktr.ee including our terrible merch, social media garbage and where to become a subscriber to Bad Brain Boys+ Hosted on Acast. This week on The Toy Power Podcast, with Halloween still fresh in our minds, we invite DoesTEN back on the show to give us a great insight on how the American's Celebrate this famous Halloween event. Including some neat stories from his youth. Then keeping with that similar scarry topic, we embark on creating a Top 10 list, detailing some of the more questionable Horror Themed Toys that where marketed to Kids (pre 2000). Some of them derive from Horror Films of the same name, and others are stand-alone properties that have Horror themes. We absolutely must give Swamp Thing a shout-out too as he has been depicted in some quite mature Comicbook story lines too.
