Coach Myrna shares personal insights and practical tips, urging listeners to embrace their experiences and grow. Tune in to discover how to cultivate a mind that bends instead of breaking. In this 5 min Fridays with coach Myrna, Myrna explores the theme "7 Daily Habits to Build an Unbreakable Mind," inspired by the teachings of Lao Tzu alongside personal experiences. She emphasizes the importance of mental adaptability, similar to Bruce Lee's philosophy of being "like water," thus fostering mental resilience through presence, acceptance, and gratitude.Listeners will gain insights into how daily habits shape mental strength, as Myrna highlights practices such as presence, which she symbolizes as a powerful grounding force. Through practical exercises like walking meditations influenced by Thich Nhat Hanh, alongside setting intentions and fostering gratitude, Myrna simplifies complex ideas into comprehensible steps. Her goal is to equip individuals with the tools to transform their mindset, engage deeply with their emotions, and respond to life's challenges with grace and strength.Key Takeaways:Be Present: Practicing presence is crucial for building a strong mind, allowing you to harness the power of the current moment.Non-Judgment: Developing a non-judgmental approach helps you see others clearly without assigning narratives or biases.Gratitude's Impact: Embracing gratitude can influence not only your mindset but also your biological processes.Intentional Living: Reacting intentionally instead of automatically can lead to mastery over yourself and your decisions.Mindful Habits: Integrating small, daily mindful practices can significantly strengthen your mental resilience over time.Timestamp Summary0:02 Building an Unbreakable Mind Through Daily Habits2:50 Harnessing the Power of Presence Through Walking Meditation5:58 Mindfulness Habits: Observing Thoughts, Acceptance, and Non-Judgment10:03 Practicing Non-Judgment and Finding Positivity in Conversations12:25 Embracing Solitude and Gratitude for Personal Growth14:57 Building Mental Strength Through Gratitude and Intentional ActionLink to Transcript https://www.buzzsprout.com/1761155/episodes/19707778-build-an-unbreakable-mind-7-daily-habits-to-transform-your-life#transcriptSee this video on The Transform Your Mind YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/@MyhelpsUs/videosTo see a transcripts of this audio as well as links to all the advertisers on the show page https://myhelps.us/Follow Transform Your Mind on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/myrnamyoung/Follow Transform Your mind on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063738390977Please leave a rating and review on iTunes https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/transform-your-mind/id1144973094Feedspot Top 100 Mental Health Podcast For sponsored Brand interviews and sponsorship inquires please visit Partner With The Transform Your Mind Podcast | Myrna Young Life Coach

Message us ANONYMOUSLYBy title, it's a lie, as "Unbreakable," (2000 d. Shyamalan) has made it to the program via our guest: filmmaker Stefan van de Graaff ('Simmer') and our infamous cohost breaker list. Starring: Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Robin Wright. We discuss the beauty, the quiet, the stillness, what friends do and do not do to each other, and so much more in this entry. We just ask that you prepare by putting on your rain slicker, and not asking too many questions like "how can he drink water?" or "Why do I need a TV in my refrigerator?" You do. 8/13!Support the show**All episodes contain explicit language**Main Artwork - Ben McFadden'Review Review Intro/Outro' Themes - Jamie Henwood"What Are We Watching?" & "Whatcha Been Doin'?" What if the same discipline that built your success… is the thing slowly breaking you?Welcome back, Alpha Squad, to The Alpha Talks Show — the #1 business and success podcast in the region, where we don't chase hype… we build legacy. In this powerful episode, Seif El Hakim sits down with Hannah Lord — Clinical Psychotherapist, Human Behavior Specialist, Burnout Expert & High Performance Consultant. This conversation goes deep into the psychology of high achievers. From leaders who silently collapse under pressure… to entrepreneurs who keep doubling down on discipline even when their minds and bodies are screaming for change — Hannah explains the hidden mental patterns that drive burnout, obsession, and emotional exhaustion. But this episode isn't about weakness. It's about understanding how the mind of a high performer actually works — and why many successful people unknowingly trap themselves in cycles of overwork, stress, and identity pressure.Hannah breaks down:* Why high achievers are more vulnerable to burnout* The dangerous trap of “doubling down” when things feel wrong* Why discipline alone cannot solve emotional exhaustion* The psychology behind obsession and control* Masculine and feminine energy in leadership and relationships* How identity and success can become psychologically addictive* Why many leaders secretly feel empty despite success* The difference between healthy ambition and destructive pressure

Unbreakable: A Woman's Guide to Aging with Power A clear, science-backed roadmap to building strength, supporting your body, and taking control of how you age. Get your copy: https://www.theunbreakablelifestyle.com/unbreakable-book There's a heat you can't feel until it's already aging you. Let's talk about something quietly ticking away inside all of us. In this solo episode I'm getting into inflammaging, the second great time bomb of aging, and what happens when your body's emergency crew never clocks out. Think alarm bells ringing around the clock, sirens that never quiet down. And here's where it gets personal: perimenopause. That's the wake-up call, the moment declining estrogen strips away one of your most powerful anti-inflammatory shields, and suddenly the fire's raging and no one tells you why. So I'm not leaving you there. I'll walk you through the real blueprint to put those flames out: how you move, how you eat, your hormones, and how you meet your stress. Because hear me on this one. Longevity doesn't just happen to you. You build it. On purpose. By design. What we cover: - Chronic inflammation vs. acute inflammation: what your body actually needs. - Estrogen decline in perimenopause: losing your anti-inflammatory shield. - Inflammaging effects: joints, heart, brain, and metabolism. - Physical activity and myokines: your systemic fire extinguisher. - Gut microbiome diversity: fueling or fighting inflammation. - Processed sugars and inflammation: what to eat instead. - Hormone optimization: working with a clinician to calm inflammation. - Mindfulness, breathwork, and sleep: lowering inflammatory cytokines.

Send us Fan MailIf you've ever wondered why the Bible keeps insisting that God's promises are sure, we lean straight into that tension and refuse to soften it. We start with a striking claim about Christ's blood never being wasted, then read John 3:31–36 to show why eternal life rests in the Son's hands, not ours. From there, we connect assurance of salvation to the character of God: true, unchanging, and incapable of failing. We also go to John 1:12–13 and ask what new birth actually means when Scripture says it is not “of the will of man, but of God.” That leads to a blunt conversation about predestination, foreknowledge, and the security of the believer. Why do these doctrines make some people angry? We talk candidly about pride, fear, and the craving for control, and we point out a real-world contradiction: people who defend free will often pray for God to intervene in someone else's choices. Then we tackle the practical question: does assurance produce careless living, or does it produce godly living? We argue that confidence in Christ doesn't cancel good works; it puts them in their proper place as fruit of the Spirit rather than a way to keep ourselves saved. If you're searching for clarity on God's sovereignty, eternal security, and the finished work of Christ, this conversation is meant to steady you.Subscribe for more Bible-centered discussions, share this with a friend who wrestles with assurance, and leave a review telling us what helped you most.Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!
Send us Fan MailRomans 8:29-30 is only two verses, but it reads like a full map of salvation. We slow down and trace Paul's sequence: foreknown, predestined, called, justified, glorified. Then we make a simple observation with huge implications: every saving verb has the same subject. God. Not God plus our willpower. Not God responding to our first move. God acting with purpose and certainty from eternity past into eternity future. We also revisit what “foreknowledge” means in this passage, arguing it points to God's fore-love, an intimate love set on his people before creation. Predestination isn't treated like a cold abstraction either; it has a goal: being conformed to the image of Christ so that Jesus is the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. That pushes the conversation toward worship and assurance, because the end of the chain is tied to Christ's glory and God's faithfulness, not our ability to keep ourselves afloat. The heart of the teaching is the effectual call. We distinguish the outward call of the gospel that many people hear and reject from the inward call of the Holy Spirit that actually brings life. Using the creation pattern “let there be light,” we describe how God's call enlightens the mind, renews the will, removes hostility, and draws sinners to come freely to Christ. We also answer the “robots” objection head-on: grace doesn't violate the will, it transforms it by giving a new heart with new desires. If you care about Reformed theology, salvation by grace alone, election, and assurance, this conversation is a focused deep dive into the golden chain of salvation and why it cannot break. Subscribe for more, share this with a friend who wrestles with Romans 8, and leave a review telling us what part challenged you most.Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!
Send us Fan MailYou can hear the same Bible words and walk away with two totally different outcomes: light for one person, hardening for another. That tension sits at the heart of our conversation as we unpack what Scripture means by God calling a people “out of darkness into his marvelous light” and why grace is only grace if God is under no obligation to give it. We talk plainly about spiritual sight, humility, and why the believer's gratitude makes sense only when salvation starts with God, not us. We connect Jesus' use of parables to the reality of “ears to hear,” then move into John 10 where Christ draws a sharp line: “My sheep hear my voice.” We slow down on John 10:26 and the uncomfortable order it sets, not believing because you are not his sheep, not the reverse. From there, Romans 9 forces the question of God's sovereignty, mercy, and justice, and why the “God made robots” objection misses the point of human depravity and God's authority to command repentance. Finally, we walk through Romans 8:30 step by step, especially justification as God's judicial, once-for-all declaration of righteousness through the imputed righteousness of Christ. We also tackle the question “Can you lose your salvation?” and why Paul's past tense language about being “glorified” is meant to anchor assurance, not spark loopholes. If this helps you think more clearly about effectual calling, predestination, eternal security, and bold Christian living, subscribe, share the episode, and leave a review. What part challenged you the most?Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!
Send us Fan Mail[If Romans 8:30 says God “glorified” His people, why do so many of us live like everything depends on our grip? We dig into the golden chain of salvation and ask the question that keeps surfacing all night: do we actually believe what God says, or are we still trying to read our standing with Him off our moods, our track record, and what we can see with our eyes?We walk line by line through predestination, effectual calling, justification, and glorification, and we keep coming back to the same claim: Paul speaks of a future event as already done because God's eternal purpose is certain. That launches a bigger conversation about the sovereignty of God, His immutability, and why His promises do not “bounce.” We bring in Isaiah 46 to show God declaring the end from the beginning, and John 17 to highlight Christ's prayer for His people and the confidence that the Son always asks in full unity with the Father. We also get practical and pointed about assurance of salvation and perseverance of the saints. We use courtroom language for justification, challenge legalism that smuggles law-keeping into the gospel, and warn against fear-driven compromise that tries to beat spiritual threats with worldly strategies. If you've been exhausted by trying to keep yourself saved, this is a call back to the finished work of Christ and the peace that comes from resting in what God has decreed.Subscribe for more, share this with a friend who needs steadier footing, and leave a review. What's the hardest part for you: trusting God's promise or letting go of your own control?]Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!

If anybody is marked to be a failure, it's Crabbe and Goyle, so if almost all the teachers have given up on them, you can be in Snape's position as the one person who hasn't given up on them, knowing that there's no guarantee. It may turn out that all your colleagues are looking at you like, "I told you you were wasting your time." Yeah, that might happen, and that's not why you do it, right? You do it because everybody is worth somebody caring that you get a chance. For full show notes, transcripts, ways to contact the hosts or support the show, and more, visit hpafter2020.com.
Matt Formston lost 95 percent of his sight to macular dystrophy at age five, growing up on Sydney's Northern Beaches. He didn't slow down. He's now a Paralympian, a four time world surfing champion, and the first blind surfer to ride Nazaré - a wave that has broken sighted professionals at the height of their careers. In this conversation, Matt breaks down the framework he's built trust on his entire life: standards, consistency and time. Not as a motivational idea, but as a practical formula - one he now uses to coach leaders and teams on culture, accountability and psychological safety. This episode is about more than sport. It's about what it actually takes to become someone others can rely on - in a boardroom, on a wave, or in a team you're trying to lead.

#239 - Joshua Church's life starts with a shock: his lung collapses right after birth. What follows is years of injuries, surgeries, chronic pain, and a quiet belief that takes root early, “Maybe I'm broken.” When that story hardens, it doesn't just shape how he moves through sports and school. It shapes what he thinks his future can be.We talk through the rock bottom moment that forces a change, and the surprisingly simple first step that cracks the door open: an invitation to yoga. From there, Joshua walks us into the deeper work that transforms his health and mindset, including breath work, nervous system regulation, and cold water immersion. He explains how breath can shift us from fight-or-flight to rest-and-digest, why cold exposure is really a practice for stress tolerance, and how the mantra “I am strong, I'm healthy, I'm capable” becomes a tool for rewiring identity in real time.We also go beyond the body. Joshua shares what faith looks like when life falls apart, including the rise and fall of his ice bath company, and why he believes surrender can be a form of strength. If you're curious about breathwork benefits, cold plunge benefits, mindset shifts, or healing from chronic pain and self-doubt, this conversation is both practical and deeply human.Subscribe for more stories like this, share it with someone who needs encouragement, and leave a rating or review if the message lands. If you enjoyed today's Book Report, I highly recommend Unbreakable by Dr. Vonda Wright. It offers practical, science-backed strategies for preserving muscle, protecting bone health, improving mobility, and redefining aging as a season of strength rather than decline. Dr. Wright's FACE framework—Flexibility, Aerobic Exercise, Carry a Load, and Equilibrium—provides a simple blueprint for building lifelong resilience, while her emphasis on physical, mental, and longevity performance aligns beautifully with sustainable health after 50. If you're ready to put these ideas into action instead of just reading about them, I'd love to coach you inside my next FASTer Way to Fat Loss® class for women over 50. We'll build muscle, improve metabolic health, fuel your body with whole foods and protein, and create habits that support not only fat loss—but decades of healthy, active living.
