Thursday night, CBS announced that it is cancelling its flagship late night show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, after next season, in May, 2026. In this episode we talk about what is no doubt the most anticipated movie of 2025, James Gunn's “Superman.” Gunn is more known for his quirky movies with unusual characters engaged in constant frenetic action. After years of teases and build ups, from the title being "Superman: Legacy" to just "Superman", James Gunn's reboot of the DCEU to the DCU is here. Does it work on its own as a movie and not just a set up for a universe? Does Gunn's comedy take away from the character? We have your comic book movie fix this week with an episode featuring the Man of Steel, and we don't mean Henry Cavill. Writer/Director James Gunn has been given the keys to the DCEU kingdom and he tales his first film out for a test drive. Will there be buyers remorse from the studio, backlash from comic book purists, box off in overseas territories? It is hard to say at this point, but what we can say is what four LAMBs thought of the film. Jeanette Ward, James Wilson and Todd Liebenow have all applied to join the Justice Gang, and this will count as their admission essay. We don't get an origin story again, but as everone on the show agrees, we get a lot of movie. 

Flying in to save the day and deliver to us a brand new DC cinematic universe, it's 'Superman', the much-anticipated James Gunn reboot of the Man of Steel! And the film had a lot of lifting to do, with high expectations of the new cast, a brighter beginning to an upcoming and interconnected film and TV slate, and the hit and miss inconsistency of the Snyderverse fresh in our hearts.
