Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universesDuring a recent round of interviews with various comic-centric YouTube channels last week, James Gunn seemingly revealed that despite rampant speculation, his DCU is not building toward the character of Darkseid as a “big bad”. As to why he's not pursuing what many fans might argue is the obvious direction for the studio, he cited the efforts of the comic book cinematic universes that paved the way for his own, saying, "Using Darkseid as the big bad now is not necessarily the thing... because Zack did it so cool in his way and because of Thanos and Marvel." Gunn expanded his thoughts on both, acknowledging some of the shortcomings of the DCEU and detailing how similar Thanos and Darkseid are that it wouldn't feel fresh for audiences. While Marvel has yet to confirm the much-discussed Scarlet Witch's return to the MCU, in a new interview with beauty, fashion and pop culture outlet InStyle, Elizabeth Olsen reiterated that she's ready to step back into the role. "It's ridiculous," she said of making MCU movies. "We're grown people behaving like children on a playground. We're flying. We're shooting things out of our hands. And it's a character that I've gotten to return to so many times over 10 years. It's good to put her down and then I miss her, and I want her back. I'd jump at the opportunity to be in her shoes again." Last week, Netflix revealed its plans to release the feature-length finale of Stranger Things' final season in theaters, reversing course after the streamer had previously rejected the Duffer Brothers' theatrical release pitch. Theaters will screen the finale starting Dec. 31 at 5 p.m. PT — coinciding with its global Netflix debut — and continuing through Jan. 1, 2026. Disney+ will begin streaming The Fantastic Four: First Steps on Nov. 5, following the film's $521 million worldwide box office haul over the summer.Over the weekend, Sony's Crunchyroll released Chainsaw Man – The Movie, which topped the domestic box office with $17.2 million and reached $108 million globally. Black Phone 2 continued its solid run, surpassing $80 million worldwide. Regretting You debuted in third place with a better-than-expected $22.9 million, while the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere disappointed with $16.1 million in its opening weekend.Paramount Pictures is finalizing a deal to acquire Ti West's adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, with Johnny Depp set to play Ebenezer Scrooge. The film will release on November 13, 2026.Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler are in talks to star in Joseph Kosinski‘s big-screen reboot of Miami Vice.Sony Pictures Animation will produce a sequel to its 2021 Oscar-nominated feature The Mitchells vs. the Machines. Production is expected to begin early next year.IMAX has unveiled its planned releases for 2026 at an Investor Presentation and at this moment, Spider-Man Brand New Day is not included in the lineup. The film will be released on July 31, which means it's debuting right in the middle of a pretty crowded IMAX season: the live-action Moana and The Odyssey are arriving on July 10 and July 17, respectively.Disney has officially exited its partnership with the BBC on Doctor Who after two years. For now, the BBC does plan to air an upcoming Christmas special next year and then continue the series on the network.Captain America star Chris Evans and his wife Alba Baptista have welcomed their first child, a girl named Alma Grace Baptista Evans

The second season of the American black comedy superhero television series Peacemaker is based on the eponymous character from DC Comics. While the first season is a spin-off from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film The Suicide Squad (2021), the second season is set in the DC Universe (DCU) which is a "soft reboot" of the DCEU. The season continues the story of jingoistic vigilante Chris Smith / Peacemaker, who finds an alternate dimension where his father and brother are still alive and the family together is a highly regarded superhero team. It is set after the events of the DCU film Superman (2025). It is produced by DC Studios with James Gunn as showrunner.John Cena stars as the titular character alongside Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, and Robert Patrick. The season was ordered in February 2022, with Gunn set to write and direct all eight episodes. Filming was expected to begin in 2023, but work was put on hold when Gunn was made co-CEO of DC Studios and switched focus to Superman. The spin-off series Waller was then prioritized, but later delayed by the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes, and in March 2024 Gunn announced that the second season of Peacemaker would now release first. Some filming occurred the next month, taking place simultaneously with Superman at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Principal photography for the season took place from June to November. The season premiered on the streaming service HBO Max on August 21, 2025, and consisted of eight episodes. It received acclaim from critics, who generally found it to be better than the first season and praised Cena's performance as well as the wider cast, though its conclusion received a more polarized response.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

This week, the boys head to the jungle for one of Amazon Studios' first films, James Gray's “The Lost City of Z”. That's pronounced “Zed” for you British purists. The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson with a beard and glasses, and Sienna Miller. It was produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B and was SOMEHOW filmed on a $30 million budget, half of which was spent flying the dailies out of the actual Amazon jungle. We get drinking with a few mini-reviews at the top, and Jeff must have started early because he recorded with his microphone facing the wrong way. This week on the Toy Power Podcast; we are still sending 'Get Well' Cards to Trent, as he unfortunately misses this ep. But that won't slow us down; as Scot has a fantastic rundown on the Greatest Star Wars Movie - that never was! Yes - the infamous 'Shadows Of The Empire!' Famously worked into 'cannon' between the Original Films of: Empire Strikes Back & Return Of The Jedi. This wasn't just a Story or a Comicbook series - this was a Multimedia Project that also spanned into a Soundtrack, Video Games and of course a self-titled line of Toys! Was, or is this, the biggest Movie that never was?! Then keeping in the same similar theme of Movies; we transform into another round of The Team! With this round focusing on the Autobots that where released in 1986 (The Movie Year). This was a lot of fun! But we would love to hear some future ideas for The Team Comp - as we are starting to run out of ideas! Thanks, and as always - Enjoy!Support the show: http://patreon.com/toypowerpodcastSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Our 72nd episode features third time guest Carson Hunt, who is here to discuss the upcoming Appalachian Renaissance Fair of TN! We also report on a TON of comic, figure and TV news coming out of NYCC 2025 as well as our usual books of the week, recommendations, and more!
Frank and Squeaks break down the biggest New York Comic Con headlines, from Invincible season 4 and Batman Knightfall to X-Men '97 and Marvel's Wonder Man. They give honest, spoiler-light reactions to the Peacemaker season 2 finale, talk about what the show sets up for the DCU, and then welcome voice actor Jordan Reynolds for a deep dive on playing Adam Warlock in Marvel Rivals. Jordan explains his audition process, how direction shapes in-game performance, and why Adam should feel like a calm anchor when the fight gets chaotic. Timestamps and Topics 00:00 Cold open and Peacemaker gag, show rundown 01:25 What's on deck today – NYCC news, Peacemaker S2 review, interview with Jordan Reynolds 02:17 Invincible S4 dated for March 2026, where the story heads, cosmic scale, and why Thragg raises the stakes 08:33 Batman: Knightfall animated event – four films starting in 2026, hopes for DC's new animated era 12:25 X-Men '97 – season 2 in summer 2026 with Apocalypse focus, season 3 already planned, Four Horsemen and Onslaught talk 18:27 Wonder Man trailer – Hollywood satire vibes, how meta Marvel might go, January 27, 2026 launch window 24:17 VisionQuest – James Spader back as Ultron, Stark AIs in human form, Speed casting, the “WandaVision-Agatha-VisionQuest” trilogy idea 30:01 Mortal Kombat – MK III confirmed, MK II moves to May 2026, where the films could escalate next 33:09 Starfleet Academy trailer reactions – teen drama concerns vs Trek world-building 37:23 A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – lighter tone, Ashford tourney focus, January 18, 2026 premiere 43:50 Peacemaker S2 review – why the season works, why the finale felt underwhelming, multiverse town twist, Keith thread 51:17 DCU setup – Checkmate hints, Salvation Run ideas, how this could feed into Superman and government vs metahumans 58:45 What's next – could Peacemaker shift into a Checkmate-style series, Lanterns connections 1:02:15 Interview: Jordan Reynolds (Adam Warlock) – audition approach, building a “stable, reliable” voice, methodical healer playstyle, directing alt callouts and action barks Key Takeaways Invincible's next chapter leans harder into the cosmic war and should bring Thragg front and center. DC's animated Knightfall could set the tone for a fresh post-DCEU animation slate. X-Men '97 is thinking big with Apocalypse while still leaving room for classic arcs to surface later. Wonder Man looks like a character study about actors and fame first, superhero spectacle second. VisionQuest aims at identity and fatherhood, with Ultron and Stark AIs complicating Vision's humanity. MK III is happening while MK II shifts to May 2026, likely escalating from tournament to Earthrealm stakes. Starfleet Academy's tone split the room, but the world of Trek can still benefit from smaller-scale stories done right. Peacemaker S2 delivers heart and growth for Chris Smith, even if the finale plays more like a handoff to the wider DCU. Checkmate and “metahumans vs government” are poised to be a major connective thread into Superman. Jordan Reynolds frames Adam Warlock as the calm center of a chaotic match – measured, hopeful, and precise. Quotes “Season one was a Peacemaker season. This one felt like a Chris season.” “I just wanted him to be happy.” “Ultron is a better villain than one movie. He deserves to be around more.” “If you cannot move fast, you have to be very conscious about your choices.” – Jordan Reynolds “He should feel stable, reliable, an anchor for the team.” – Jordan Reynolds on Adam Warlock Call to Action Enjoying the show? El rodaje principal se hizo de junio a noviembre. the boys are back after a week off the guys are back to talk ep 5 & 6 of peacemaker and the huge implications
All actors will want to listen to this episode: Growing up in Long Valley, NJ, Brett was encouraged to pursue his dreams, and pursue he did! Residing within driving distance of New York City, he sought after theater, became a professional tap dancer and theater acting before making his move to Los Angeles by the age of 19. Over the years, he's enhanced his craft to include a professional actor, producer and director, with hundreds of credits. With his company LA Reels, he and his former business partner created one of the first demo reel companies (shooting original content for actors' reels, filming over 4000 scenes in the last 12 years). Now, he's developed a site to help actors rehearse with an AI partner 24/7, called RehearseNow.Ai . The site allows actors to upload their script and choose an AI rehearsal partner to go over the scene with and the partner responds in real time. I was actually talking about something like this with a friend of mine and Brett had already created it, so I had to bring him on to hear more about this. We talk a lot about movies, the future of filmmaking and more! From October 5th-25th, RehearseNow.AI is running a contest The A.I. Scene Partner Challenge in which actors submit their best audition using www.RehearseNow.AI . Scripts will be provided by LA Reels. Top 10 Actors chosen will do a meet and greet with three professional casting and the top actor chosen wins $1000! Use the code “Classic” to use the service free for a month! Check out www.RehearseNow.AI for more details. Make sure to check out www.ClassicAmericanMovies.com for online reviews. If you're not doing so already, please like and follow Classic American Movies on Instagram and Facebook. Also, I decided to dabble in making my own slasher film entitled “Bishop's Day”. Full Movie Reaction Watch Along: / thereelrejects Visit https://huel.com/rejects to get 15% off your order Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Apparel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ With James Gunn's Superman in Theatres & Streaming on VOD + the recent updates regarding Man of Tomorrow, Lanterns, Supergirl, & More, Andrew & Tara CONTINUE toward the inevitable conclusion of their DCEU Marathon giving their The Flash Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review! Andrew Gordon & Tara Erickson react to The Flash (2023), the DCEU's highly anticipated sci-fi action blockbuster directed by Andy Muschietti (It, Mama). Ezra Miller (Fantastic Beasts, Perks of Being a Wallflower) stars as Barry Allen aka The Flash, who uses his speed to travel back in time to prevent his mother's murder—only to unravel the multiverse and trigger dangerous consequences. The film features Michael Keaton (Batman 1989, Birdman) returning as Bruce Wayne / Batman in an iconic comeback, alongside Ben Affleck (Justice League, Argo) reprising his version of the Dark Knight. Sasha Calle (The Young and the Restless) makes her debut as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, bringing fresh energy to the Superman legacy. Michael Shannon (Man of Steel, Take Shelter) returns as General Zod in a fierce showdown, joined by Antje Traue (Man of Steel) as Faora-Ul. Kiersey Clemons (Dope, Zack Snyder's Justice League) plays Iris West, Barry's love interest, while Maribel Verdú (Y Tu Mamá También) portrays Nora Allen, and Ron Livingston (Office Space) takes on the role of Henry Allen. Standout and highly searched moments include The Flash's multiverse collisions, Michael Keaton's return with the legendary line “I'm Batman,” the epic Supergirl vs. Zod battles, emotional family reunions between Barry and his parents, and shocking multiverse cameos that thrilled DC fans. Combining time travel, heart, and jaw-dropping superhero spectacle, The Flash stands as both a tribute to the DCEU and a love letter to DC history. THE HEIRARCHY OF POWER IN THE DCEU IS ABOUT TO CHANGE!! Black Adam Full Movie Reaction Watch Along: / thereelrejects Visit https://huel.com/rejects to get 15% off your order Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Apparel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ With James Gunn's Superman in Theatres & Streaming on VOD + the recent updates regarding Man of Tomorrow, Lanterns, Supergirl, & More, Andrew & Tara CONTINUE their DCEU Marathon giving their Black Adam Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review! Andrew Gordon (Cinepals) & Tara Erickson (The Rage Pod) react to the explosive 2022 DCEU superhero blockbuster Black Adam, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise, The Shallows) and starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Fast & Furious, Jumanji) as Teth-Adam / Black Adam, the ancient antihero unleashed in the modern world. With his god-like powers and uncompromising sense of justice, Black Adam's arrival shakes the foundations of the DC Universe. The film also stars Aldis Hodge (One Night in Miami, Leverage) as Carter Hall / Hawkman, leader of the Justice Society; Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, Mamma Mia!) as the mystical Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate; Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, The Recruit) as Atom Smasher; Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets, Master Gardener) as Cyclone; Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Person of Interest) as freedom fighter Adrianna Tomaz; and Marwan Kenzari (The Old Guard, Aladdin) as the villainous Ishmael Gregor / Sabbac. Among the film's most talked-about moments are Black Adam's brutal introduction, the Justice Society's breathtaking battles against him, and the post-credits cameo featuring Henry Cavill as Superman, which had fans buzzing about the future of the DCEU. With electrifying action sequences, mythological backstory, and The Rock's intense performance, Black Adam remains one of the most debated entries in DC's cinematic legacy.
