Real Estate for Real People
Today we talk about an interesting article we stumbled across, talking about the pricing trends and how the nation could shift dramatically in terms of "affordability" if things keep going. We share some of our thoughts, and bring it back to a local level and discuss our theories.
The trio is here with another Market Update for you! The numbers are consistent, but there are some new trends favoring condos and townhomes. What does that mean? Why do we think that is? We talk about that, and just some general trends with the market. Reminder: it won't be a seller's market forever! Don't stress if you're trying to buy and haven't been able to yet - it will all work out.
So we've talked a TON about this "crazy" market and what buyers should do to be best prepared. But what about sellers? Anyone with a pulse can sell a house right now, but what can you do to set yourself apart and make sure you're taking full advantage of this market? We'll tell you!
We all know it's a crazy market, but are there long term ramifications we should be worried about? We're all thinking about the 2008-era real estate snafu, and we listened to some experts give their thoughts on the matter. We reflected, discussed, and are still learning more every day.
Sometimes, you just need to breathe. Take a step back, relax, and don't stress! Real estate (and life) can get crazy, but at the end of the day, it'll all be okay! Can you tell we were needing a little break from "normal" this week?
Curious about projects that truly will or will not improve your home's value? What about if you'd rather just do some updates to your own home, rather than trying to navigate this crazy market? We've got some thoughts!
We went a little crazy this week... Or Jess did, at least. There was a lot of venting, but a lot of points to think about too. What is the "new normal" when it comes to making offers on houses in this Seller's Market? Why should you be educated, and possibly even a little concerned? Tune in!
We see it all the time - business have giveaways and promotions on their social media! Fun fact: real estate agents (at least in Missouri) aren't allowed to do that too... but why? And why do we see them doing it anyway?
What's that? Statistics don't always make sense? They might not be entirely accurate? Headlines are the same way?! This applies to real estate too?!?! Tune in for a fun episode where we point out some obvious facts, but make it entertaining as always.
We've been living in a Covid-world for over a year now. What has that done to the real estate industry and how could it be directly affecting you as a buyer or seller? Tune in to find out!
St. Louis is a small town, and the Internet is forever. So, should you be careful what you say to people and what you post online about your home sale? Probably!
You guessed it! We wrapped up the seller's mini-series this week :)
Let's talk about you, and me! Or, us. Just like with buying, it's always going to be helpful to talk to your favorite real estate specialist earlier rather than later, as we can guide you through getting your home ready to list, and provide you with tips and tricks you might not have thought about!
In our Home Buyer Tips follow-up episode, we talk about the importance of pre-approval, looking at homes, and getting ready to write an offer! Also mentioned: why you should take the time to be educated on the process before you fall in love and want to write an offer, and why we don't recommend taking it lightly!

Guess who's back and better than ever! We're talking about everyone's favorite pandemic and the immediate and long-term effects it has on real estate here in St. Louis.
We're getting morbid! Time to talk about beneficiary deeds, and therefore... death. We'll make it as painless as possible, though!
Time to set some boundaries and manage some expectations! All in the name of preserving, and dare we say it, strengthening relationships.
Whether selling or buying, you've likely heard of an "As Is" sale. What does that mean, and what are the pros and cons to such a thing? Tune in to find out!
