California-born composer/producer Brogan Bentley merges a myriad of sonic traditions into a style, all his own. West-Coast psychedelic ethos and deep appreciation of subterranean bass-tones found in Dub, Jungle and other underground electronic music are all present in his sound, creating an experience that takes listeners somewhere between the familiar and etherial, at once. His processed voice laid atop intricate digital sequencing play off one another, blurring lines between what is human and what is machine, all the while retaining a distinctly organic quality.
Yaphiet is a multimedia artist from the Bay Area. Self taught, he's a film director, motion graphics artist, music producer, songwriter and recording artist. Typically drawing inspiration from real life experiences, his art is very honest and his music is really a reflection of his life. Founder of independent record label Internal Records back in 2005, he most recently released his long awaited self-produced album "4 Da Homies, Vol. 2: ALL LOVE" accompanied by three self-directed music videos.
Esteban AKA Pops or Wulffvnky is an Oakland-based artist from Sacramento CA. He uses all types of mediums but his bread and butter is charcoal/pastel. The inspiration for Pop's work is based on his trials and tribulations as a youth as well as family and old school music/pop culture. He tries to display complete emotional transparency through his work in hopes that his viewers can relate to the ups and downs of his life. Pop's goal is to spark the conversations for mental health awareness and to bring together different cultural backgrounds.
Having already secured a dedicated following, and opening for notable acts such as Devin the Dude, the Cataracts, the Game, People Under the Stairs and Freddie Gibbs. Dred Scott is hardly a newcomer to The bay areas hip hop scene. And, with his refreshing, revivalist approach to purely analog live rap, it's little wonder how Dred and “the Band” (guitarist Andrew Ramos, drummer Kyle Venezuela, bassist Elijah Kusel saxophonist Josh Ramos) have turned so many heads. Scott's flow is fine-tuned and consistent with a lyrical approach more akin to the recent trend of west coast rap like Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar's Black Hippy crew, than to the gangsta rappers of decades past. With the solid soul/rock grooves of his skilled accompanying band behind him, the result is some infectious hip-hop that'd start you off with a seriously smooth party.
Bud Snow is a contemporary street artist whose work crosses several mediums including public and private murals, paintings, wearables, textiles, drawings, graphics, sculpture, video, and photography. Based in Oakland California. If you clean your room when you're uninspired, you will lose all your shit. Inspiration conjures genius beyond ourselves. It's a psychic, primal, natural thing. We are creators. I believe in momentum. I know that when I reach for a feeling…or an idea arrives… that momentum will build if I put some attention there. As if some cosmic material is right there, backing it up. It's the art of being alive. This is the art of creating. When someone tells me they're not creative, I say, look in the mirror. Look at your relationships. Look at your career. Does it match what you've been thinking about? You created all of that.
