Eat Read Stream Repeat

We spend a lot of time discussing Avengers: Infinity War, what we loved about it (THOR), what we didn't (its failure to stand alone as a film). Plus, we talk Brooklyn 99.

In our latest episode we talk about portrayals of journalism in pop culture, from Spotlight to The Devil Wears Prada via The Bold Type, The September Issue and more. Plus, we find time to complain about Captain America: Civil War, and Chloe chooses a film about giant snakes for her 29 Seconds of Terrimazing.

We wend our way through some Greek myths and legends, realising as we go that Chloe half-remembers all these things from childhood with less of the politics and also there are a lot of words and names we've read but never tried to stay out loud. We cover Circe by Madeline Miller, Troy, Fall of a City currently showing the BBC and, as Sarah puts it, "Eric Bana's Troy".

We chat about A Wrinkle in Time (book and film), the books we've been reading, and Chloe recommends a terrimazing television programme.

In episode four we critique some of the pop culture that looks at the suffrage movement in the UK, including Anita Anand's brilliant book Sophia, and the film Suffragette.

A quick hop and skip through other unimportant things we've been reading and watching, before we get into the real news of the week, Black Panther.

In episode two we geek out about Netflix show Travelers, and Colson Whitehead's award-winning novel The Underground Railroad.

We thought we'd start by having a look at what's coming up in the next 6 months that we are itching to get our grubby little paws on.
