A podcast by a person, about people. The world is full of interesting individuals with diverse insight and perspectives; this podcast provides a platform for their stories to be told.
It's me and Christian again with a guest appearance by John and Nate Dog. We did this one pretty impromptu and recorded it outside. Its always fun to kick back with this guy. Enjoy!
I'm baaaaaaaack! I happen to be joined by the man who helped start the show, Sir Jeffery. I don't need to say anything else, other than please enjoy and thank you for listening!
Bear Brained episode 2 is here! It's another week of news, banter, and fitness insights from Jake Jones. Thanks for listening!
On this first episode of Bear Brained we cover everything from Chinese viruses to Lil Duval and his words on the pursuit of becoming the man (or woman) you want to be. Tune in, it's a wild, bumpy, and at times..awkward ride. We're learning, bear with us.
After a short break, we are back! I'm joined by my good friend, Caleb Fallon. Caleb is a hardworking, incredibly insightful individual. He is a veteran of the US Airforce where he was a Combat Controller. We talk on points like the military and what struggle and hard times do, beneficially, for people. How unity is formed from selflessness. We even throw in some philosophy and surf. There will definitely be another episode featuring Caleb. I hope you enjoy!
Christian has been a reoccurring guest on the show and yet again we have another conversation that hits deep. It was fun, and insightful. I wonder if him and I should start a show as the 2 of us. Comment below with show names if you like the sound of that. Thanks for listening!
Jake Jones. Christian Lombardi. On the menu today: rambling, sports mode on cars, fitness, nutrition, education and how to research. I want to apologize again for the last episode having terrible audio, this week I corrected the issue, so thanks for sticking with the show! Dive into Episode 014 and hear us talk about, well..everything!
The beginning of the Rectangular Round-table! What a blast this was. This might be the most fun podcast to listen too if you are looking for shear entertainment! Just a few of my favorite humans and I talking a little bit about everything. Enjoyment level for this one, 10/10. Stories, inspiration, trash talk, poll talk, listener questions.. the list goes on. Listen for yourselves and as always, if you have input send it my way! Apologies if the audio is not as good as previous episodes - this was recorded with a table top mic vs individual ones as in all other episodes. Working the kinks out as we go!
Such a fun conversation! Katie was nervous to begin this one but really steered the topics we discuss like a professional. This one had everything from crystals and Christ, to nutrition and dogs. I had a blast and anyone who listens to this episode will too. Thank you everyone for the continued support - this podcast is as much yours as it is mine so if you have suggestions or ideas, I'm all ears. Disclaimer: that does not mean I will necessarily implement changes immediately, but I do value your input.
Porter is a guy you want to have around all the time. Calm and charismatic at the same time. This conversation was one of my favorites because it felt like I was talking to a better looking, younger version of myself. In all seriousness - this man has some dialogue you don't wanna miss. I hope you enjoy our talk about work ethics, small town USA and of course, football! If you sent in questions or topics we answered them all, thanks for listening!
Episode 10!! We hit double digits. Thank you everyone who has been apart of the journey this far. I am super excited and optimistic to see where we will be in the future. I say "we" because Guy Meets World is about the entire environment of listeners and guests. That being said, episode 10 has some fun in store as I had the pleasure of hosting Justin Parr, Wrighstville Beach surfing fiend and nCino's very own Ambassador of Stoke. Please enjoy, and as always - if you want to be on the show, just reach out!
Emma is here! Art, film, music, pancakes, and serial killers. If you want a view into the continuous, theme-less conversation that usually makes up our day to day - you're in for a treat. This episode brings you pure conversation, no agenda. Enjoy!
The wait is over! Matt Choe is on the podcast and boy does he have some insight for us all. The conversation was rich with fitness, nutrition, and forging your own path at the heart of it. Choe also gives us some insight into being on campus during a shooting; to hear from someone who has experienced it was really interesting for me. We finish with answering viewer questions and give our NFL Week 2 predictions. Thanks for listening, if you like what you hear, please share! I am beyond humbled by the feedback I get after each episode which largely seems to be targeted at how relatable each guest is and the lessons that get taken from the conversations.
In this episode I responded to listener submitted questions, topics, and opinions. There were some really good submissions and I honestly feel like some of them deserve an entire episode, not just a 5-8 minute response. Thank you to everyone who sent in requests, I definitely plan to dive deeper into some of these topics in future episodes. Thanks for listening!
Jon Dones is a man with infectious energy and a calling to coach. His outlook on life is simple yet powerful, if you want to be and or do something with your life - start at the top and work your way down. When you know where you are going, it gets easier to find a starting point. Along that journey, unexpected things will happen and detour you, in those times it is important to pivot and keep pursuing your dream. If you want a sugar coated way to success - do not listen to this episode. If you want to be inspired and motivated by raw energy to make your dreams a reality - listen to this episode.
What a great episode, so much fun and seriously thought provoking. Our discussion is really interesting due to a couple of factors; One, being that Liam is a psych major and very interested in helping others and this drives his desire to connect and understand the word around him. Two, he is an individual with a unique perspective. Through his youth and upbringing he has formed a foundation of morals and virtues that all should seek to emulate. Please enjoy this all expense paid vacation of great conversation.
Dr Soques is a friend and mentor of mine, he also happens to be one of my professors. His story is unique and details how he became a professor at UNCW. His desire to make the world around him better all the while maintaining true to his morals can offer great insight that everyone, from a new student to a seasoned corporate employee, can extract. His personal approach to teaching through the application of knowledge and open ended assignments set him apart from traditional teachers. I hope you all enjoy this conversation as much as I did!
In Chris Norris' debut on the podcast we hear some political insight, how to get big in the gym, and talk a lot of football at the end! We also did a special for this episode where we fielded listener questions at the end - Chris had not heard the questions beforehand so these were fresh answers. Enjoy!
This episode was a blast. I got to talk to Christian Lombardi and we went through a lot so buckle up! Everything from loss, adversity, and vulnerability all the way to diet, exercise, and Trader Joe's nut butter. Enjoy.
In the first ever episode of Guy Meets World I have the pleasure of hosting Jeffery Lock, a good friend of mine. Jeff is the manager of Might As Well Bar and Grill, he recently completed a marathon and over the past few years has embarked on a transitional journey finding out more about himself along the way. Enjoy.
