Podcast by Andrew Reynolds
An alternative name for this episode could be "Fun with Names" as our team struggle to remember the names of at least on of the main characters. That aside, you'll still have a fun time with Lucy, Milly, Tom and Andrew as they wonder back to the early 90's to discuss one of the great British comedies.
**WARNING - Does include the occasional cuss word** It's been a while but we're back to talk about the Coen Brothers classic comedy The Big Lebowski. It's an opportunity to abide with Andrew, Tom, Gary and of course, The Dude, as they discuss nihilists, Vietnam, White Russians and bowling.
To paraphrase Tony Montana, first you get the money then you get the power then you get the podcast. Andrew, Tom and Tim would like to say hello to their little friend Al Pacino in the Brian De Palma directed and Olive Stone scripted 80's gangster classic 'Scarface'.
You're a funny guy!! The Lets Go to the Movies podcast take a look at every body's favourite gangster film, Goodfellas. Andrew, Milly, Tim & Tom place you at the front of club for a front-row seat as they review Martin Scorsese's 1990 masterpiece of cinema.
HOO-AH!! The Let's Go to the Movies podcast looks at Al Pacino's Oscar winning performance in the 90's classic Scent of a Woman. Andrew, Milly and Tim tango their way through an awkward dinner, some shouty Pacino moments and argue about a blind man driving a Ferrari in New York. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll count how many times you hear Hoo-ah but you will enjoy going to the movies with them again.
After a lengthy break The Let's Go to the Movies Podcast is back with a couple of new cinema fans to discuss the best gangster film ever made and quite possibly the best film overall. Join us as we look at this classic or we'll make you an offer you can't refuse!
It's another special episode and this time the podcast that's all about the shared experience of the cinema discusses sharing the experience of cinema. Enjoy!
Apologies for the delay but we picked the wrong week to give up sniffing glue. Andrew, Tom & Gary look back at Flying High (although they called it Airplane! everywhere but Australia) one of the funniest films of the 80's. Given how well we remembered the jokes we thought there was no point in playing the gags from the film...... and because the podcast would have lasted 3 hours!! Surely you can't be serious??? We are..... and don't call us Shirley.
The Let's Go to the Movies Podcast looks at Groundhog Day. The film which has become the catch-phrase for boring, repetitive and never ending.......fortunately this episode is funny, only slightly repetitive and only goes for about 40 minutes. With apologies to Andie McDowell.......and her fan club.
Episode 5 and we scare our selves a little remembering the ground-breaking thriller Alien (1979). Tom takes us back to when he watched it in the cinema as a fourteen year old, Gary worries the crew of the Nostromo weren't getting overtime in space and Andrew does a nice Bill Paxton impression even if it is from the wrong film.
In this special episode Andrew, Tom & Gary discuss nudity at the movies. There's a lot of prawns, catholic school boy uniforms and insights into fundraising methods of the past. Ironically its the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
In this episode Andrew & Tom discuss an 80's gangster classic "The Untouchables". Andrew has fond memories of seeing the film with his Dad while and Tom explains the genius of director Brian De Palma.
Episode 2 of The Let's Go To The Movies Podcast in which Tom, Gary & Andrew put on their fedora's and grab their trusty bullwhips to discuss Raiders of the Lost Ark. Gary is impressed by the "newcomer" Harrison Ford, Tom is impressed by Tom Sellecks shorts and Andrew does bad impressions.
Episode 1 of Lets Go To The Movies as Tom, Gary and Andrew dare to go back into the water with Jaws.
A podcast about the shared experience that is cinema.
