So you think you know a hoarder? Meet Ray, he’s lived in his 2 story apartment for 55 years and is finally moving out closer to his daughter. He has collected items his whole life that at one point occupied the entire yard, basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor and attic. These are all his prized possessions and it has been really hard for him to give these items up. Friends have to come by and keep telling him that it is ok to let these items go. It has not been an easy process and is still in progress, especially with the emotion involved. We hear about these things and think they’re a joke and don’t actually happen. However, this is this man’s entire life at this point. I conducted numerous interviews of him, especially during his final hour at the house, to get a better understanding of what he was go through.
