I'm going to show you how to optimize YouTube Shorts to get more views. There are several things you can do to make better YouTube Shorts and to reach their maximum potential. In order to get more views on your YouTube shorts, there's something very important that you need to understand, and that's your traffic sources. If you go into the analytics for any of your videos, you'll be able to see the different traffic sources that are sending people to your video. On a normal YouTube video, these include YouTube search, Browse, Suggested Videos, and more. But notice, when I look at one of my YouTube Shorts, it includes all of the same traffic sources as a regular YouTube video, plus one additional Shorts traffic source. This is when your video appears in the Shorts Shelf, as it's called. This is just one of the potential places people can discover your video, and so the real advantage you have is optimizing YouTube Shorts to be discovered in multiple places across YouTube. These are the very social media marketing strategies I use to help grow my clients’ business. Every social media platform is different, not to mention the fact that trends and algorithms are always changing, but the key principles remain the same. So whether you’re on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or whatever new platform they come out with, these are strategies you can start applying now in your business.

Most business owners know they need to be on social media, so they go on a sign-up rampage – getting a Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Alignable, YouTube, LinkedIn… But the problem is you can’t realistically manage all of these platforms well. And the thing is, you don’t have to. I actually believe you should only focus on one or two platforms, at the most. Instead of just assuming you need to have your brand plastered everywhere, what if, instead, you thought about which platforms would be essential for your business? This does require a little bit of understanding of each platform. But ultimately you need to figure out which platform your target customer is hanging out on? It’s even possible, if you cater to 2 different niches, that one platform may help you reach one niche, and another platform will help you reach the other. The point is not to spread yourself too thin. You want to be able to focus on those one or two platforms so that you can do them well. Otherwise, you risk doing a mediocre job on several, and never actually build that community because your time is so divided. Watch full '7 Key Social Media Marketing Strategies'

Remember, it's called social media for a reason, so be *social* in your social media marketing. Pay it forward by engaging with people's posts. Give “likes,” but more importantly, write meaningful comments. Try to steer away from the generic comments like, “Love this…”, ”Thanks for sharing…” Take a little extra time to write a well-thought-out message and this will help you stand out. And when somebody takes the time to actually engage with your posts, WRITE A REPLY! It's a huge wasted opportunity when I see people engaging with a certain post and the person doesn't even respond to them. Be sure to talk back with your audience and continue the conversation. Part of building a community on social media is making these personal connections. So don't forget this part. Watch full '7 Key Social Media Marketing Strategies'

How Often Do I Post on Social Media? What is the best posting schedule for social media marketing? Watch full '7 Key Social Media Marketing Strategies' If you're wanting to know how often to post to social media, consistency is key. You'll never build that community on social media without this component. First of all, don't expect quick and easy results from social media marketing. It does take time to build a following but if you can be consistent, it's well worth it. What I do see so many business owners do is start off really strong posting several times a week or even several times a day. But this pace can be hard to keep up and then the next time you see them post is not till a month later. I've certainly been guilty of this myself. On social media, consistency is even more important than frequency. So this means you need to create a realistic posting schedule even if it's just once a week. It's much better to start with a pace that you can manage over a long period of time and then build up from there. By being consistent, you're creating an experience for your audience that they come to expect. They might even log on to the platform just to see your content. This is when you know, you’ve started to build a community on social media.

In your social media content strategy, what you don't want to do is just talk about you, your product, and your company. Honestly, people do not care. It comes across as salesy and people are turned off by this... Watch full '7 Key Social Media Marketing Strategies' Instead, focus on adding value, specifically creating valuable content for your target customer. Think about what type of content would get their attention. What can you create that would either inform them or entertain them? This approach is about being a giver rather than a taker. And it's the concept of sowing and reaping. When you take the time to give out free value, it tends to come back to you. Creating content like this will also help to establish you as the authority on a certain subject matter. It will help to build trust with your prospects and slowly you'll build a community around your content.

Now, every social media platform is different - not to mention the fact that trends and algorithms are always shifting and changing but the key principles do stay the same. So, whether you're on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. this #1 social media marketing strategy will help you in your business. But the reason this tip is so important is because it really is the driving force behind all social media marketing, which is to build a community around your brand. This is about “building your tribe.” Now at its core, marketing is really just about getting people to know, like, and trust you. But what if we could do this on a much larger scale? Imagine being surrounded by a community of people who know, like, and trust you so much that they're ready to buy from you or to refer business to you at any opportunity they get. This should be your number one goal with social media marketing: to build a community around your brand. Watch full '7 Key Social Media Marketing Strategies'
