Preparing for the season opening on the canal and my first session on Cromwell Lake which is also my first Carp fishing overnighter.

With the canal open for fishing it was finally time to walk it with a rod in hand. It was also the first chance to fish on the baited spot. Will the pre-baiting pay off?

Mark Watson joins me on the bank to answer my questions and offer some advice. Life gets in the way and I manage just one session on the canal... would that be enough to tempt a fish? 

After a long summer on the Canal, what does the autumn have in store? Still more questions than answers. Is it time to back off or gear up?
