Northbrook UMC exists to encounter God, love each other, and serve the world. Our podcast serves to publish any sermons, messages, and conversations had at Northbrook.
We sit down with Bruce Longino, a long time member of Northbrook, who tells us about the new technology that he has just installed in our sanctuary to make the air cleaner and healthier. This will undoubtedly help us in our plans to reopen our physical location in the future.
Andrew is joined by Leslie, Ryan, Lauren, and Connor as they talk about this past Sunday, getting older, Disney+, and what they miss about Northbrook.
After a little break we are back with an interview featuring Anna Kate Moeller, a high school senior, as well as Connor King, our ministry intern. We talk about what it is like to be a senior in high school right now, as well as our top 3 Disney animated features (all-time).
Andrew and our ministry intern Connor talk about seminary, calling, and some movies. They spend a little too much time on Nicolas Cage movies.
Lauren and Andrew talk about Youth Ministry, Easter at home, and a lightning round of pop culture that Lauren tries to navigate.
Andrew and Chad have a conversation about what New York City was like right before the outbreak and how excited they are for the new Indiana Jones 5 to begin filming.
Laurie and Andrew have a discussion about what it is like to experience Lent and COVID-19 at the same time, worship from this past Sunday, communion apart, and what Holy Week is like when quarantined.
Andrew, Leslie, and Ryan talk about what life has been like and where they are finding God. *Because we are trying to model physical distancing, we are recording from a conference call. Laurie and Andrew talk about what the first few days of semi-isolation have been like and where God is in the midst of coronavirus.
Andrew explains the plans for Northbrook UMC in the coming weeks as we seek to understand and work with the coronavirus. We are still the church and we will still seek to make disciples (even if that means from a distance).
