I'm so blessed to be connected to such an incredible human being and happy that our friendship has maintained throughout the years and grown even stronger with time. In this episode, I sit down with my dear friend and Music Therapist/Singer/Songwriter Meera Sinha to talk about all the essential topics that I hope to cover with this podcast. We discuss what it means to live organically, how music has been a powerful healing tool in our lives, and the wellness industry as a whole and how important it is to respect where healing practices come from. This episode is full of love and light and lots of laughter. We figured out that singing is essentially the MOST organic vibe and realized that we are so similar in so many ways. Meera is also an incredible teacher and teaches voice, guitar, ukulele and even piano through a studio based out of San Diego called @vmprivatemusicstudio. Go follow Meera on social media @meera__rani to connect with this beautiful soul and to keep updated on all of her upcoming projects.

My Health Journey So Far: How Getting COVID Woke Me Up

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 11, 2020 40:45

You read it right, in this episode, I open up about getting COVID-19 this past summer and how losing control of my senses pushed me to take control of my mind, body, and spirit. The central theme of this episode is the idea of control. How often do you feel helpless, like there's nothing you can do to stop climate change, change people's minds and hearts, or even change your own habits? I have felt the same way so many times throughout my life and it took getting COVID for me to finally decide to focus on my circle of control and start making decisions that would make me healthier, happier and just an overall better human being. I also want to stress that fitness, health and spiritual journeys are different for every single person and encourage everyone to do so at their own pace without comparing themselves to other people. Love yourself, love others, and love the planet.

Strength and Healing Through Adversity with Heather Frazer

In this episode of Organic Vibes, I interview my first guest, my mom Heather Frazer!! Heather is a mother, a partner, a daughter, a gardener and an educator. She is my inspiration in life and the (literal) reason I am here today. This episode is full of joy and laughter but also tears and stories of healing. We go in depth about the story of my birth and the struggles that followed. This woman is incredible and her story of strength and resilience through almost losing her child and her own life in the same day is so motivational. I'm so blessed to call her my mom and to be able to share this beautiful story with all of you!

    Why is Everything Backwards?

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 16, 2020 25:34

In this solocast, I go more in depth about why I'm deciding to invest in my health by comparing it to education. We are often taught from a young age that we need to go to college, get a degree, get a good job, work, retire and then die. But the good job part is not guaranteed and even if it pays well, you may not be happy. On the other hand, treating your body well and healing yourself through food and healthy habits guarantees that you will live more fully and can potentially prevent illnesses and future hospital bills. So I ask the question of why does society stress pushing people to spend thousands of dollars on college but not on the everyday choices they can make to live healthier, happier, lives? I also talk about starting my new business as an independent consultant for Arbonne (I'm not being brain washed don't worry) and how it aligns perfectly with my goal to help people.

In this first ever episode/solo cast of Organic Vibes, I give a general overview of all that I hope and dream for this podcast. I talk about how I chose this title to represent authenticity and living healthily and also how it ties in my interests about how sound affects the brain. I also discuss a bit about my background and where I'm from along with why I wanted to create this podcast in the first place. I plan to share my intersectional perspectives on music and neuroscience and the mind-body-spirit connection. I will share my "organic" unfiltered journey to living a healthier and happier life by following my passions and dreams and I hope to inspire others to do the same.
