In this episode of the Original Spinsters, Jayna & Jess explore historical reasons why old ladies' have a fondness for felines, or at least they do as a stereotype, and discuss the positive vs negative impacts of that stereotype. 

"Marginalized" is a series within a series examining the ways in which women's efforts are taken less seriously and often left by the wayside in particular fields. In this episode, Jess discussing the "Big Eyes" paintings by Margaret Keane and Jayna discusses general trends in readership and book publishing. 

What is a "spinster"? Jayna & Jess define what it meant to be a spinster centuries ago and what it means to them today, as well as discussing the origins of the word "bachelor". Was/is there a negative connotation to the word or associations with being an aging "unmarried" person? The Original Spinster (a.k.a.
