Send us Fan MailI'm back and this week I have been all over the phone getting tea. We open with exclusive tea on Erika Jayne's son Tommy Zizzo that came from someone in his world — two things that I think are hilarious and completely telling at the same time. Then the Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley court war just escalated to a whole new level — I break down every new filing from both sides this week including what PK is claiming about Dorit's European trip, the kids' expired passports and the household expenses — and then Dorit fires back with PK's full spending breakdown... Then I have figured out who Dorit has been spending time with in Paris but why...Then the Kyle Richards deep dive on her first husband Gharash Al-Jufri — where he comes from, what his family really does and why I think Kyle leaving him may have scarred him in a way that is very telling to this day. Then Mauricio Umansky and Brandi Glanville on Special Forces together — and I have thoughts on what Brandi has been sitting on for years about Mauricio cheating that could make this one of the most interesting episodes of that show. Then I drop the first piece of my RHONJ tea — the Luis Ruelas situation has reached a level I have never heard before and people around him are being told something very specific right now. James puts his finger on three sins that are not common, but common even in Churches and among professing Christians.
B went to the House of Stassi premiere party and met the cast - she spills all the details. Plus, our thoughts on the first episode. In the City is over and the second reunion episode had some juicy tidbits. Are Lindsay and Danielle friends for a reason or a season? Is Bravo going to let Eoin get away with calling Yvonne an "effing idiot" not once but twice? And we have to talk about Amanda and Kyle's sex life. Or lack thereof. We are flabbergasted. Why is Real Housewives of Orange County making Amanda sad? And we have some tea on Vicki's kids' relationship with each other. We do a mini-deep dive on the lawsuit that was filed against Leva's company that alleges the bartenders weren't paid minimum wage...if this is true, Leva could be facing a large financial fine, not to mention significant legal fees. Last but not least, we have some HOT tea about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills casting. This week's episode of Cocktails and Gossip is brought to you by our sponsor, Nutrafol. For a limited time, Nutrafol is offering Cocktailers $10 off your first month's subscription and free shipping when you visit Nutrafol.com and enter code GOSSIP.
In today's ep, we find out what Greg Grippo is up to and spoiler...not awesome. Plus we check in with Katie Thurston who is still fighting the good fight. And find out our thoughts on Charity & Dotun, and Ashley and Jared. And a check in on the RHOC kid feuds, and our VERY IMPORTANT THOUGHTS.
Drinks? Great. Dessert? Amazing. Chemistry? Definitely there. Then less than 24 hours later, Maya discovered something that completely changed the way she looked at the entire date with Kevin. This episode is going to have everyone talking.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In today's episode, we discuss two verses from James 4 that warn against gossip, secret meetings, and judgement of brothers and sisters in Christ: Jenn shares personal experiences and biblical examples to illustrate how gossip can be detrimental to the church. Judgement is not about calling out sin, but rather speaking against others to manipulate or destroy their reputation. The difference between judging and discerning - examples from James 4:11-12, Romans 14, and 1 Corinthians 5. As Christians, we're not to abandon the church, but follow the law of love and encourage a thriving, God-honoring church. Jenn encourages listeners to be mindful of their words and actions, and to take the time to get both sides of the story in order to discern the truth. If you're interested in learning more about how to navigate difficult situations like gossip in the church and how to treat others with love and respect, tune in to this episode for insightful discussion on judgement and love. Gossip is a way of life in social circles, but why do we like to engage in it so much?Joining Shane and Ciara to discuss is Professor of Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin, Brendan Kelly.
Proverbs 6 delivers four practical warnings against common forms of foolishness that can quietly derail a life of faith. Financial overcommitment, especially cosigning for others, can trap us in chaos that God never intended for us. Laziness is rebuked through the example of the ant, while hard work is framed as an act of worship that opens doors for generosity and ministry. A life built on wickedness may appear successful for a time, but calamity is its inevitable end. God also plainly lists seven things He hates, including pride, lying, and sowing discord, and the wise person runs from all of them. Gossip and murmuring are not minor issues. They are among the things God calls an abomination, and they have the power to fracture a church community. The call is simple: ask God to root out foolishness, listen for His answer, and respond with obedience. Whether you are navigating financial decisions, trying to build a stronger work ethic, guarding your integrity, or protecting the unity of your church, Proverbs 6 has something to say to you. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and aligning our lives with what God loves and away from what He hates is the foundation of a life well lived. --------------- Proverbs 6

A revival worth praying for begins with the courage to repair what our words have broken. We open with a clear vision—restore—and press into a hard truth: the church often treats sexual sin as fatal while giving gossip, criticism, and slander a pass. That double standard chokes reconciliation, drives repentant people into the arms of communities that feel safer, and delays the prodigal awakening we claim to want.We walk through the biblical case for restoration, naming how James, Proverbs, Galatians, and the Gospels confront tailbearing and devouring. Then we move from conviction to craft. What does a real path home look like? Honor for the fivefold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers—so correction and compassion live together. Spirit-led leadership that disciplines without destroying. Practical repair that goes beyond a vague apology: call the person you maligned, retract the rumor with those you misled, and refuse to fuel the fire with fresh wood.Along the way, we share a raw personal story about a false report that lingered for years, showing how lies shadow a life long after the moment passes. The lesson is not to go soft on sin; it's to go strong on mercy. We are not called to accuse like Satan or judge like God. We are called to restore, reconcile, and protect the anointed so gifts can flourish and prodigals can find their way home. If we want stadiums and cities to open, our mouths must open to bless, not to bruise.Join us as we trade rumor for repentance, suspicion for shepherding, and division for Spirit-led unity. Subscribe, share this with a leader who needs it, and leave a review with one action you'll take to make restoration real this week.We love to hear from our listeners! We measure a healthy church by the strength of its spiritual family, where babies, parents, and grandparents create a place that feels safe and rooted. We trace “tongues of fire” from Acts 2 to James 3 and face a hard question: are our words building unity or burning it down?• Why multi-generational church life signals health and safety • God's long story of family restoration from Genesis to Jesus • Praying for prodigals by name and confronting unbelief • What “all in” and “all flame” mean in daily worship • Acts 2 as a picture of unity and gospel clarity • Why the Holy Spirit comes to build the church, not platforms • Division as the fastest way to quench the fire • James 3 on the tongue as a destructive fire • Gossip disguised as jokes or “ministry” prayer requests • Alliances and factions formed by information and insecurity • Augustine's table rule as a practical guardrail • Jesus on reconciliation and resilience held together • Honesty versus silence and checking pride versus conscience • 1 Corinthians 13 and love as the motive for speech and restraint

The crew tackles a genuinely interesting theory this week: that Sam Altman and other AI lab heads are quietly begging governments for regulation while China's open weight models keep blowing up their plans, essentially forcing an AI arms race nobody asked for. There's also a dive into why NATO officials seem baffled by JD Vance's silence on the Iran war, some spicy speculation about the Adelson family and a certain senator that starts as a joke and gets weirder the longer they talk about it, and a read of a scathing Trump bit aimed at late night hosts that somehow turns into a Stephen Colbert nostalgia tour (RIP funny Colbert). Add in some election security grumbling, an AI facial ID tangent, and a genuine debate about whether Hollywood's box office woes are self inflicted, and you've got a pretty packed Friday night.

Episode 307 - On Gossip Have you ever realized that a "harmless" conversation can sometimes start to tear someone down? In this episode, the friars talk about gossip, why it can be so easy to fall into, why it often feels like connection, and why it never really gives us the communion we're looking for. Whether it happens at work, in friendships, in community, or around the people we love, gossip can quietly train our hearts to tear down instead of build up. The friars reflect on the deeper questions beneath gossip: What am I seeking here? Am I trading authenticity for connection? Am I willing to let my discipleship reach even the way I speak about others? This conversation is a gentle invitation to bring Jesus into our words, our relationships, and the places where we feel tempted to belong at someone else's expense. Join us as we learn to speak with greater charity, courage, and freedom, and let our words become a place where Christ is present. Why do we gossip, and is it actually bad for you? Cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Caroline Leaf unpacks the science of gossip with special guest Dominique Leaf, her daughter and the show's producer: the difference between the kind of gossip that bonds us and the kind that damages us. Gossip carries a lot of guilt for most people. It also has a long history. Gossip is one of the oldest social tools humans have, and a large part of how our species learned to cooperate in groups far bigger than a family. It can do real harm too. The intent behind it decides which way it goes. You'll learn why gossip isn't automatically toxic, what actually decides whether it helps or harms, and what a back-and-forth conversation physically does inside your brain and body. Dr. Leaf walks through Yuval Noah Harari's argument that shared stories built civilization, Dunbar's 150 rule, and why the three-person "triad" is the most unstable and most damaging shape a conversation can take. Dominique brings the questions most of us are too embarrassed to ask.
Fr. Ben continues his reflections on the commandments by addressing the 8th, bearing false witness. Gossip is included in this commandment. Listen to this homily to receive insights about what gossip truly is and what it can reveal to us about ourselves. Thank you for listening. We'd love to hear from you!
