Should your pastor be a perfect human before he stands on the pulpit? Why do church folks struggle with showing vulnerability ? Is the gospel still relevant for millennials? Pina and Winnie discuss faith and Christianity with guest co-host Anna Awuah. Anna is a PK (pastor's kid), she's a bona fide lover of God and is on a mission to bring the gospel to the millennial generation and to convey the message in a way that can resonate with her peers. According to her many people leave church because they experience "church hurt", broken relationships and disappointment from folks that you look up to as brothers and sister in Christ. In her view we should try our best to separate the man from the divine. But, we ask, how do we treat church leaders such as Carl Lentz from Hillsong, or relationship experts such as Derrick Jaxn who exhibit behaviours that are not in line with the message they preach? We discuss this and more in this new episode of Pizza and Palmwine! Head over to our Facebook and Instagram pages @pizzaandpalmwine to tell us what you think. You can also reach us via email at pizzaandpalmwine@gmail.com. Be sure to share this episode with your friends and family, or anybody that needs to hear a real conversation about faith, Christianity and the struggles with keeping a certain image

Being "posted" is a practice that is found in various African communities in the diaspora, whereby migrant parents decide to send their child back to the continent to be raised by a caretaker (usually a family member). Pina and Winnie are both "posted children", having left Italy for Ghana as a young age and having to grown up away from their parents. In this episode they discuss their experience and how it has shaped their identity, including the emotional trauma, how it shows up in romantic relationships and the difficulties in having to build a daughter/parent bond. They also reflect on the separation from their caretakers back in Ghana and the ambiguous relationship they have with them. How is parenthood defined? Who gets to be called "mum" or "dad"? Can you still be a parent from abroad? How long is it too long to "post a child"?

In this episode Stacey shares her story as a survival of sexual assault at a young age. Stacey bravely posted her story on facebook and in doing so she named her aggressor thus breaking the code of silence that many victims feel they need to uphold in order to avoid scandal in the Ghanaian community. Her story is not unique unfortunately, but it's still a taboo in many African Communities. We hope that by speaking up, her story will inspire more people to come forward and break a culture of silence that only protects the perpetrator and never the victim. At her request we have agreed to censor some of the names of the people involved in the story. #metoo
