Pretty BIG Movement LLC based in New York, NY is a full figured dance company specializing in various dance genres such as Hip-Hop, Jazz, African, Modern and so much more. Founder / CEO Akira Armstrong realized there wasn't a platform for women with voluptuous curves in mainstream media so Ms. Armstrong sought out to create the platform today known as Pretty BIG Movement.
Statistics state that the number of women size 16+ (110 million) account for 66% of the 167 million women in the United States (according to the 2014 United Census Bureau statistics). Although there have been amazing events such as FFFWeek, CurvyCon, TCFStyle Expo, etc. produced for the plus size woman, only a fraction (approximately 500 - 2000) plus size women are able to attend the events due to cost, location or schedule. The Plus Size Virtual Summit premiered March 1-4, 2018 and provided women with an online conference experience for 4 days to include workshops, presentations and interviews from seasoned and new plus size industry professionals in the areas of: * Business (Starting a Business, Sponsorships, Writing and Publishing Your Own Book, etc.) * Plus Size Modeling * Health and Fitness for the Curvy Woman * Relationships/Mindset * Acting/Entertainment Industry * Fashion (Styling, Designing, Manufacturing) and more.
