On this week's edition of the Talking Michigan Transportation podcast, a conversation about a new study that confirms that flashing LED lights, used strategically, can improve safety on curves.The study is part of a larger project looking for effective speed warning technologies, said Timothy Gates, a professor of civil and environmental engineering at Michigan State University, who talked about the findings on the podcast. The research is funded by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).The state tallied 128,517 crashes on curved roadways during winter weather conditions between 2018 and 2022, causing 175 serious injuries and fatalities, plus 1,360 less serious and suspected injuries, the study said. The study concluded that curves on flat roads (called horizontal curves by highway engineers) "present a major challenge to drivers, especially when there is a significant difference between the posted speed limit and the curve advisory speed."

I used to think more muscle meant I'd just get bigger, or be absolutely shredded and I'd lose my feminine shape. Until I learned how to recomp properly, I saw how building muscle and decreasing body fat created the illusion of my shape becoming curvier, longer, and leaner. Now, I see this every round with my Create Your Shape ladies. Curves and the "out in out" look get emphasized as you decrease body fat. As you gain muscle, everything lifts up creating a tighter appearance, but that also emphasizes the separation of body parts. Once you get to a certain point, then you can really fine-tune your figure, like alternating your plan to grow your glutes or shoulders for example. In 1972, Rabbi Yaakov Asher Sinclair opened SARM Studios the first 24-track recording studio in Europe where Queen mixed "Bohemian Rhapsody". His music publishing company, Druidcrest Music published the music for The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1973) and as a record producer, he co-produced the quadruple-platinum debut album by American band "Foreigner" (1976). American Top ten singles from this album included, "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold as Ice" and "Long, Long Way from Home". Other production work included "The Enid – In the Region of the Summer Stars", "The Curves", and "Nutz" as well as singles based on The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy with Douglas Adams and Richard O'Brien. Other artists who used SARM included: ABC, Alison Moyet, Art of Noise, Brian May, The Buggles, The Clash, Dina Carroll, Dollar, Flintlock, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Grace Jones, It Bites, Malcolm McLaren, Nik Kershaw, Propaganda, Rush, Rik Mayall, Stephen Duffy, and Yes. In 1987, he settled in Jerusalem to immerse himself in the study of Torah. His two Torah books The Color of Heaven, on the weekly Torah portion, and Seasons of the Moon met with great critical acclaim. Seasons of the Moon, a unique fine-art black-and-white photography book combining poetry and Torah essays, has now sold out and is much sought as a collector's item fetching up to $250 for a mint copy. He is much in demand as an inspirational speaker both in Israel, Great Britain and the United States. He was Plenary Keynote Speaker at the Agudas Yisrael Convention, and Keynote Speaker at Project Inspire in 2018. All indications point to TSMC's N2 process node being a beautiful one. TSMC recently discussed their 2nm process node at IEDM 2024, calling it the "world's most advanced logic technology". N2's headlining feature is of course the Gate-All-Around transistor. Its first major transistor transition in nearly 15 years. But there is another new technology being inserted into the node: The Curvilinear mask, or masks with curved lines. TSMC's first node with curvy masks. Curves. Big whoop, right? It matters because these masks unlock the power of GPUs for semiconductor manufacturing. In this video, TSMC's curvy masks for its 2nm node.
