Our Salvation story begins with a nomad with a barren life, who by faith accepted God's promise, covenant and call in his life. In culminates in God sending His son to live on this earth and walk on this earth as man, and then, His son willingly suffers a cruel Roman death on a cross for so that we may have Salvation. What does it say to a production driven world like our today to just be giving something, to just be giving grace and mercy? No wonder our Faith is so transformational and life changing.
From the creation story we discover the value of all human beings. God wants to be with you. The same God who took “chaos” and put it in to order is still among us today putting chaos back into order. The same God who breathed life into Adam is the same God who wants to breath life into your situation.
We are to live as though that kingdom is fully here now, embracing others and loving well so that, when Christ returns, he might find us blameless and living at peace.
There is hope because God is a good Father who loves us. There is hope because we are still God’s people.
The Kingdom of God isn’t about finding the minimum. It’s all about experiencing God’s grace and realizing there is no price tag on the healing that comes from Jesus giving his life for ours. We will never full understand the Christian journey if we spend our time figured out “how much is this going to cost” because as long we’re standing back “calculating” it simply means we haven’t full surrendered yet and that’s what Christ is inviting us too…full surrender.
Don’t forget who you are! Resist the temptation to be co-opted by a system that isn’t interested in God’s salvation. Don’t be seduced by political systems that lead you to believe they will give you power. Trust in God’s way of doing things. Trust in God’s kingdom.
Joy when we take a step towards God and that Joy continues when realize it’s about relationships instead of rules.
As believers may we be characterized by our love and not anger. In you anger DO NOT SIN. Turn the table and LOVE PEOPLE. Lets’ point people to the LIVING HOPE THAT IS JESUS CHRIST.
Even Jesus dealt with anxiety in being overwhelmed with the mission before him. But there in the Garden of Gethsemane He spent time in prayer and was sustained by his faith despite overwhelming feelings. We too can face anxiety when it is our faith which informs our feelings. There is power in the name of Jesus.
No matter where you are we serve a God who not only SEES US but is moved to compassion because of our hurt. We serve a God who understands the hurt of human loss.
The ordeals of life provide an opportunity to be a witness of God’s power in the world.
Standing Strong isn’t just about getting us through a situation but it’s also about being a faithful witness to who God and His faithfulness. Faithful people reveal a faithful God.
Sometimes we're called to STAND UP for what is right and that means confronting those close to us who are making unwise decisions. We are called to use Daniel's example of beginning with prayer before having difficult conversations.
If we are going to see conversion in this world then there must be a connection made and if there is going to be a connection made then there has to be a conversation started. Conversation - Connection - Conversion.
Our view shouldn’t be that we’re “waiting on heaven.” Our view should be that that we’re looking forward to the day when our faith is made complete. However, until that day we’ll live each day waiting and anticipating God’s next move and how we play a part in what GOD IS UP TO IN OUR WORLD.
When we're focused on doing the Father’s will (the mission of God) we can live through any circumstances with a sense of well-being. We find peace in knowing God’s Glory is being magnified through Our Story. The world offers no such peace.
Strong relationships begin with realizing that the most “Christ-like” thing we can do is to always be ready to forgive. We ourselves have been forgiven by an almighty God who has taken the posture of forgiveness.
Our journey of faith with Jesus Christ doesn’t begin, and isn’t sustained, with “signs and wonders” but by daily obedience. The only sign we really need is the written word of God which reveals the living Word of God.
Money can have us in bondage and tithing is a gift from God that will lead us to breaking the bondage.
