Jesus Followers Have Much for which to Thank God - His Grace for Our Salvation and Our Freedom to Serve Him MESSAGE SUMMARY:  Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His Name. Our government has set aside an annual national holiday of Thanksgiving for all Americans to offer prayers for our country; our many blessings; and our special blessings for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, thanksgiving to God, for Christians, should be a lifestyle; and Jesus Followers should not need a special day to give thanks to the Lord. As Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4: “We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you.”. Do you, as a Christian, need a special day to give thanks God because you get so immersed in your life outside of your relationship with God? Do you stop to give God thanks for His grace for you and His blessings to you in your prayer life's personal relationship with God? Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His Name.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, after his loss, you gave Job prosperity, blessing him with twice as much as he had before, but that has not always felt like my experience. Grant me patience. Help me to trust and wait on you, especially in those areas of my life where I have no idea what you are doing, when my hardship will end, or where you are taking me. In Jesus' name, amen.     Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 115). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will entrust to Him my future. I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.  From 2 Timothy 1:12 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): 1 Chronicles 16:8; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22; 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4; Psalms 50a:1-12. Christ(God and Jesus''s Word)! IsThe Rock of Our Salvation! Not Peter! My 8 Books: Amazon.com/Richard-A-Hardin/e/B09J2YHCVB (Approx- 5$ ea)****I will show that God was the Rock of the Old Testament salvation and Christ(God's Living Word) is the Rock of our New Testament salvation. Jesus did not say in Matthew 16:16-17 that Peter would be the Rock of His, Jesus', Church. Christ, the living, creating power of God, Rhema, not Peter is the Rock of our salvation. Christ is our hope of Glory, Col 1:27, not Peter. I want to clear up the confusion which you might have about whether or not Jesus said He would build His Church on Peter? No! Jesus was referring to the Living Word of God, Christ, Who had taught Peter that Jesus was the Christ, the son of God. Jesus goes on to say that we all, you and I, must be personally taught by God's Living Word, Christ, as Peter was in, John 6:45, "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me." Each of us must be taught by the Living Spirit of God, Christ, to come to Jesus for salvation, in the same manner Peter was taught by Jesus' Father through His Spoken Word, Christ, in Matt 16:16. Christ, the Living Word, in our new heart is the Rock of our salvation, not Peter. We call out to Jesus, God, for salvation, He in return sends His Living Creating Word, Christ, into our hearts to create in us our new hearts, Ezekiel 36:26, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new Spirit(Christ) will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you and heart of flesh. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). From Romans 1:16 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): 1 Chronicles 16:8; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22; 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4; Psalms 50a:1-12. A WORD FROM THE LORD WEBSITE: www.AWFTL.org. The Main character in this movie Paul Atredees is teased as being this Christ-Like figure in both Dune 1 and Dune 2. However, in Dune 2 he starts to fulfill the prophecies foretold to the “Fremen” about a Messiah to come deliver them from the hand of their enemies. Obviously this movie has so many biblical references, I thought it was significant enough to do a biblical movie review on some of the relevant biblical prophecies. For Example, Paul Atredees comes out of the sky to descend on the planet Arrakis and Jesus our Christ will also come out of the sky: “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.” Matthew 24:30 Ultimately, Paul Atredees (The Christ-Like Figure) saves his people from the Nations that are oppressing them, delivering to his people freedom after hundreds of years of mistreatment and very similarly Christ Our Messiah is coming very soon to deliver us from the nations as well: "And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." Matthew 24:31 “Then say, “Save us, O God of OUR SALVATION, And gather us and DELIVER US FROM THE NATIONS, To give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your praise.” 1 Chronicles 16:35 Send a Tithe, Donation, and/or Offerings at: https://leodunson.com/donate/ Cash App $LeoDunson - https://Cash.App/$LeoDunson Become a Member! - https://ministries.leodunson.com/checkout/subscribe “Gods Laws, Commandments, & Statutes” (Book): https://tinyurl.com/33j95pbc “Precept Upon Precept” (Book) on Amazon at: https://tinyurl.com/z2uu46ez Subscribe to support Leo Dunson Ministries to gain access to "Exclusive Content" & Early Release videos: https://ministries.leodunson.com/checkout/subscribe Connect with Leo on https://www.facebook.com/LeoDunsonjr Connect with Leo on https://www.instagram.com/LeoDunson Connect with Leo on https://tiktok.com/LeoDunson #Dune #Dune2 #PaulAtreides #Bible #Israelites #LeoDunson
