Purpose- What are we supposed to be doing anyway? Having a grasp on this answer will give us direction & peace. Genesis 1:26-31, 2 Timothy 4:1-4 & Micah 6:6-8.
Control. Our understanding of it has a great deal to do with our level of anxiety.
One of the best ways to fight anxiety is to belong in community which is actually something God created & wired us for. The life of Jesus shows us how God feels about people & the power of inviting them to belong. Luke 7:36-50, Luke 19:5-10, Luke 5:27-32
Empathy is an important trait to have when sharing the gospel because it communicates humility & the loving, welcoming heart of God seem in Jesus.
We shared our favorite quotes & talked about how all scripture ultimately points to God’s desire to redeem all people. Colossians 3:10-11 in the Living Bible
Check out the context behind the word we translate as gospel & good news. God had been planning this for a while & wanted to show that His kingdom is different from how most people view power.

Love. It is a powerful, misunderstood force in our lives & knowing Christ helps us reclaim what it’s original intent is.
Are there any people so bad they can’t be redeemed or forgiven? We watched the clip of Billy saving El at the end of season 3 & shared how reminding people of their humanity & telling them of God’s grace is the most powerful thing we can do. 1 Timothy 1:16-17, Mark 2:16-17, John 3:16-21
Stranger Things week 1. We looked at what it means to grow up & grow in our faith. It can be difficult when friends pressure you to grow more quickly than you want. 1 Corinthians 13:11-13, 1 Corinthians 14:20, Luke 18:16-17 & Ephesians 3:17-19
What do we believe is true about ourselves? Are we an island, an autonomous, disconnected being or are we a created for relationship, sounding through of God?
This week we look at the Trinity through the view of an atom, creation & see how those things can teach us about God’s heart & our place in all of it.
We go over some basic views of the Trinity & look at how a greater understanding of it can impact our relationship with God & everyone around us.
