The “iPS New Year's 2026” broadcast, recorded on December 31, 2025, serves as both a retrospective of the “systemic fakery” of 2025 and a strategic roadmap for the “Off-World Stage” community in 2026. The host characterizes the current era as a “soft totalitarianism” where history is manufactured and performed for a “visually illiterate” public.List of Topics2025 PSYOP Retrospective:The Drone Panic: A January “gullibility test” where mysterious sightings in New Jersey were dismissed as airplanes and the planet Venus. The Charlie Kirk “Death” Event: Analyzed as a staged psychological operation with “hoax indicators,” including the “death tent” at America Fest and the subsequent “necromancy” in evangelical churches.Psycho Stew vs. Raja Jackson: A “kayfabe” body slam event that was racialized by influencers to stoke tension. The Stabbing of Austin Metcalfe: Linked to the movie Sinners and described as an attempt to create a “white Trayvon Martin”.School Shooting Archetypes: A discussion on how shooters are now portrayed as “left-wing” or “satanic nazi trans witches” to target specific demographics.Dick Cheney's Death: Described as a “Viking funeral” coded with 9/11 references (e.g., dying on the anniversary of the One World Trade Tower opening).Media Theory and the “Meta Script”:Predictive Programming: The use of films like Oppenheimer, Fallout, and Dune to saturate the zeitgeist before real-world events.“Off-World Stage” Perspective: A framework independent of the “media duopoly” (mainstream and alternative) that seeks to deconstruct the “collective Truman Show”.Religion as Government: The view that mainstream religion is a “branch of government” used for “mind control” and to keep the “soul” compartmentalized from psychology.2026 Objectives:The Great Deconstruction: A planned project to create a 100-year timeline of staged history from 1926 to 2026.Publishing and Networking: Production of the iPS tabloid, short eBooks on world stage actors (like Elon Musk), and the expansion of PSYOP trading cards.Technological Shifts: Leveraging AI agents for “press releases” and the potential reboot of the parody cartoon “South Pole”.2026 Predictions:Expected “fake” events include nuclear/EMP threats, elite bunker narratives, blackouts, and a “fake alien invasion” connected to upcoming films.5 Key Quotes“My one resolution... for new year's eve is to no longer tolerate bad conspiracy theories that are actually mislabeled as even theories... it all comes down to religion.”“2026 is going to be fake AF. Every single psyop we are going to experience in the next year is already planned already scheduled it's on a program that we're not privy to...”“If you're scared, you lost. That's the game. If you're scared, you lost. ... Fear is the mind killer.”“They are not mad they are trained to believe not to know belief can be manipulated but knowledge is dangerous...”“We are fomenting a culture of disbelief on purpose. And believers, it's not that they're not welcome here, but they don't have a place here.”Understanding the “Off-World Stage” perspective is like learning to see the projector beam in a dark movie theater; once you stop focusing on the film's plot and notice the machine behind it, the “story” loses its power to frighten or control you.

From the streets to the stage, we break down a year defined by MTV ending , No Kings protests, cultural flashpoints, and the uncomfortable truth that sometimes comedians are the only ones saying what everyone else is thinking. We talk Bruce Springsteen and Deliver Me From Nowhere—art as resistance—alongside Sinners and One Battle After Another, where culture keeps fighting even when politics feels stuck on repeat. Our book of the year by John Fugelsang. We also look at how voices like Dave Chappelle, Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Ricky Gervais, South Park, Jimmy Kimmel,  and Gianmarco Soresi are shaping the conversation by doing what institutions won't: telling the truth with jokes sharp enough to hurt.On the political side, we dig into the rise and reactions around Zohran Mamdani, Gavin Newsom, Jasmine Crockett, and Marianne Edgar Budde, and why satire might be more effective than speeches at cutting through the noise. With insight from J-L Cauvin and the absurdity that only 2025 could deliver, we ask the real question:Are we laughing because it's funny—or because it's the only way to survive? This episode is about humor as protest, comedy as commentary, and why laughter might be the last honest currency left Follow us at Reality Redemption on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, BlueSky and Tik Tok

Bishop Robert Barron’s Sermons - Catholic Preaching and Homilies

Friends, we come to this wonderful feast of the baptism of the Lord. And the first thing to know is that this was a profoundly embarrassing event for the first Christians. Jesus is the son of God, the sinless Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. So why is he going to John the Baptist to seek a baptism of repentance? Jesus begins his public ministry with a kind of embarrassing, humiliating act—and, in a way, that is the point of it.

Baptism is for the forgiveness of sins. Dr. Chris Croghan and Sarah Stenson make that abundantly clear in this week's conversation. But that leads to the question, why did Jesus come to John to get baptized? In baptism, Jesus begins to take our sins from us. Jesus has to make you think you're right in killing him. To receive mercy, you need to sin against Jesus. Plus, we welcome two surprise first time guests on the podcast!CARE OF SOULS - ADDICTIONIn Care of Souls, a special mini-series podcast from Luther House of Study, Lutheran pastors and theologians come together to explore the deeply personal and pastoral task of preaching to and caring for those struggling with life's challenging situations: addiction, death, family disharmony, and more. Rooted in the theology of the cross and the Lutheran tradition of radical grace, this series offers both theological depth and practical guidance for pastors, church workers, and lay leaders. With conversations, real-life stories, and reflections from the front lines of ministry, Care of Souls equips listeners to enter the broken places of addiction not with easy answers, but with the crucified and risen Christ.Because in the end, it's not about fixing people—it's about preaching the Gospel.Listen to Care of Souls wherever you listen to podcasts or on the Luther House website: Care of Souls - AddictionCONFIRMATION Does your church have a confirmation class? Jesus Followers Are Sinners Who Have a Savior Because “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners . . .”; Is Jesus Your Savior Too? MESSAGE SUMMARY: We are all sinners, but we now have a Savior – Jesus. As Paul tells us, in 1 Timothy 1:15-16, that the Gospel provides Salvation for all followers of Jesus, including the worst of sinners -- Paul: “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.". Also, Paul, in 1 Timothy 2:3b-6, further points out that God wants all of us to be saved by His Grace through Jesus if we only, as sinners like Paul, reach out to bring Jesus into our lives: “God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.”. It is only because of Jesus the Christ that we receive the healing that we need. “I am a sinner who now has a Savior – do you”?   TODAY'S PRAYER: Abba Father, I open my clenched fists to surrender everything you have given to me. Reestablish my identity in you — not in my family, my work, my accomplishments, or what others think of me. Cleanse the things in me that are not conformed to your will. By faith I unite my will to yours so that the likeness of Jesus Christ may be formed in me. In his name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 85). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). In this episode we compile chapters 4, 5 and 6 of the Book of Revelation into one easy volume.Have you ever wondered what happens when ancient religious texts and hallucinogenic experiences collide? Our latest deep dive into the Book of Revelation might just convince you that John of Patmos was experiencing something far more chemical than divine. Taking you straight through heaven's door in Chapter 4, we explore John's fantastical descriptions of beings that shine like precious stones, a floor made of glass "like unto crystal," and creatures covered in eyes with faces of lions, calves, men, and eagles. We compare these vivid visions to documented medical cases of hallucinations, including a fascinating 2022 paper describing patients who see "colourful crystal sheens" during altered states of consciousness. The parallels are undeniable and hilarious. The biblical connections run deep as we trace John's inspiration to earlier prophets like Ezekiel and Isaiah, showing how he borrowed elements from their visions while adding his own psychedelic twist. We dissect the significance of jasper and sardine stones, analyze the mysterious sea of glass (with at least six competing interpretations), and question whether eternal existence spent repeating "Holy, holy, holy" truly represents paradise. Our irreverent analysis adds yet another theory to what Revelation might actually be – beyond prophecy, coded rebellion literature, xenophobic propaganda, or incel manifesto, we now must consider "hallucination dream journal" as a strong possibility. Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, or somewhere in between, our comedic breakdown offers fresh insights into this ancient text that continues to fascinate and perplex readers across millennia. Listen now, and remember – as we always say at the end – that's why Satan is my superhero. In Chapter 5 YHWH clutches an unreadable book, a slain lamb shows up with seven horns and seven eyes, and a countless horde of angels simps hard for the apocalypse. Also featuring: thoughts and prayers (now available in jar form), David Koresh laying down the rules, and Jesus—just a lonely guy looking for love.Expect savage biblical satire, original comedy sketches, and even some punk rock as we question the foundations of Christian prophecy, Heaven, and the entire end times narrative. Whether you're into religious history, skepticism, or just love blasphemous comedy, this deep dive will crack you up and crack the seals wide open (you see what we did there...).And finally in chapter 6 The Four Horsemen arrive and one of them might be riding a green My Little Pony named Minty. Join us as we plunge headfirst into the book of revelation 6, where John of Patmos takes a break from persecution to write the wildest fanfiction in biblical history.Expect plague balls, Elon Musk jokes, martyrs begging God for blood vengeance, and the rich elites hiding in caves — some things never change.  If you've ever been cast out, laughed at, or told you're going to Hell—welcome home.  Made for the misfits, the weirdos, the godless and the damned—Satan Is My Superhero is your unholy sanctuary.  Send us a textSupport the showWelcome, Sinners! The “iPS New Year's 2026” broadcast, recorded on December 31, 2025, serves as both a retrospective of the “systemic fakery” of 2025 and a strategic roadmap for the “Off-World Stage” community in 2026. The host characterizes the current era as a “soft totalitarianism” where history is manufactured and performed for a “visually illiterate” public.2025 PSYOP Retrospective:The Drone Panic: A January “gullibility test” where mysterious sightings in New Jersey were dismissed as airplanes and the planet Venus. The Stabbing of Austin Metcalfe: Linked to the movie Sinners and described as an attempt to create a “white Trayvon Martin”.School Shooting Archetypes: A discussion on how shooters are now portrayed as “left-wing” or “satanic nazi trans witches” to target specific demographics.Dick Cheney's Death: Described as a “Viking funeral” coded with 9/11 references (e.g., dying on the anniversary of the One World Trade Tower opening).Media Theory and the “Meta Script”:Predictive Programming: The use of films like Oppenheimer, Fallout, and Dune to saturate the zeitgeist before real-world events.“Off-World Stage” Perspective: A framework independent of the “media duopoly” (mainstream and alternative) that seeks to deconstruct the “collective Truman Show”.Religion as Government: The view that mainstream religion is a “branch of government” used for “mind control” and to keep the “soul” compartmentalized from psychology.2026 Objectives:The Great Deconstruction: A planned project to create a 100-year timeline of staged history from 1926 to 2026.Publishing and Networking: Production of the iPS tabloid, short eBooks on world stage actors (like Elon Musk), and the expansion of PSYOP trading cards.Technological Shifts: Leveraging AI agents for “press releases” and the potential reboot of the parody cartoon “South Pole”.2026 Predictions:Expected “fake” events include nuclear/EMP threats, elite bunker narratives, blackouts, and a “fake alien invasion” connected to upcoming films.“My one resolution... for new year's eve is to no longer tolerate bad conspiracy theories that are actually mislabeled as even theories... it all comes down to religion.”“2026 is going to be fake AF. And believers, it's not that they're not welcome here, but they don't have a place here.”Understanding the “Off-World Stage” perspective is like learning to see the projector beam in a dark movie theater; once you stop focusing on the film's plot and notice the machine behind it, the “story” loses its power to frighten or control you.List of Topics5 Key Quotes

Thomas and Frank look back on the movies and TV that defined their 2025, from why Superman hit so hard to how Marvel's three-film run landed with Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and Captain America: Brave New World. They also talk about the stuff that disappointed them, why TV felt like it "won" this year, and the shows they could not stop thinking about, including IT: Welcome to Derry, Alien: Earth, and Andor. To close it out, they shift into 2026 mode: what's got them genuinely excited again, which upcoming releases feel like "event" movies, and how they want to evolve Challenge Accepted next year by being more personal and more present on social. Timestamps and Topics 00:00 – Welcome back, what this episode covers (2025 favorites + 2026 hype) 00:33 – Thomas check-in and the newborn update 01:32 – The baby's first Marvel movie (yes, really) 03:31 – Quick run through the 2025 movie list 03:55 – Why Superman was the movie of the year 04:02 – F1 as the surprise hit 07:15 – What worked in Superman (comic-book storytelling and trusting the audience) 10:56 – "I needed that movie this year" 11:03 – Marvel's 2025 slate starts: Brave New World, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts 11:56 – Why Thunderbolts is the one that felt different 18:12 – Sinners and the hunger for original stories 22:25 – Weapons (and the conversation spirals into other watchlist picks) 24:56 – K-Pop Demon Hunters love and why it clicked 28:38 – Disappointments and missed watches, including Star Trek: Section 31 30:24 – "TV shows dominate" and why this year proved it 30:53 – TV highlights sprint: Welcome to Derry, Stranger Things, Daredevil, Alien: Earth, and more 32:04 – Andor praise and why the release format worked 35:01 – Frank's top TV list: Chief of War, Paradise, Player Base 36:03 – Alien: Earth reactions (including the ending debate) 37:08 – Next year's challenge (Fargo Season 4) 39:10 – Revisiting Marvel 2025: what each movie represents and what Marvel should learn 41:33 – The big disappointment: Chair Company (plus Ironheart) 45:03 – Quick plug: Survivor 49 coverage and Survivor 50 excitement 46:11 – 2026 hype begins: Supergirl and the DCU momentum 50:02 – The Odyssey and why it feels like an "event" movie 51:15 – Marvel needs to "earn" the hype again 52:51 – Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping and why it could be huge 53:16 – Rapid fire 2026 watchlist: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Project Hail Mary, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple 55:01 – Why seeing Spider-Man filmed "for people" matters 55:55 – The Mandalorian and Grogu as a real theatrical Star Wars moment 57:54 – What they want to improve on Challenge Accepted next year 58:40 – Social media mindset: be natural, be present, stop over-polishing 59:52 – Outro + how to send in your challenge Key Takeaways Superman landed because it played like an actual comic-book story and trusted the audience to keep up. Marvel's 2025 trio felt like three different "versions" of the brand, and Thunderbolts was the one that showed the most heart and restraint. Sinners is a great example of why original stories can still feel like a must-watch cultural moment. 2025 was stacked for TV, and the list of standouts is honestly longer than most years' movie lists. Andor remains the gold standard for prestige franchise storytelling, and the release strategy helped it stick. 2026 looks like it could swing back to a movie-forward year with multiple "event" releases on the calendar. They want the show to feel more personal in 2026, including more natural social posts and more listener involvement. Quotes "Talking about you, some of our favorite movies and shows from 2025 and what we're hyped for in 2026." "Yeah it was I needed that movie this year. Like I needed it." "They gave a director a chance to tell their story." "Right now, welcome to dairy. Holy cow. These last couple episodes have been so damn fire." "It makes me cry that it's the finale." "You don't necessarily need to make a polished post." "It's for people, not just, you know, for box office numbers." It's a big nasty list of video nasties and every year we duke it out to decide which ones join the ranks of the elite, which ones drop into the dregs of pointless nonsense, and which ones (most of them) end up somewhere in the middle. This year, the largest portion of our talk centers around one big question: Where does Sinners fall on the list?Take our listener survey: http://bit.ly/progressivelyhorrified-surveySign up to support Progressively Horrified on Patreon for as little as $5 a month and get bonus episodes! https://www.patreon.com/c/progressivelyhorrified Hosted on Acast. Talking horror with friends and arguing about what scared us the most. For our first episode of the new year, we're joined once again by Mike Scollins, writer for Late Night with Seth Meyers and a longtime friend of the show. Mike's been on with us plenty of times before, from general horror hangouts, to breaking down Scream 6, to helping us celebrate past Spook'em Scare'em Awards, and now he's back to do it again. This isn't a traditional awards show. There's no voting, no winners, and no attempt at consensus. It's just us looking back at the horror movies of 2025 and calling out what really stuck with us. The best deaths, the scariest moments, the most memorable monsters, standout international horror, and more. We don't always agree, and that's kind of the point. If you're catching up on what horror delivered in 2025, or you just want to hear three people who love the genre dig into what worked and what didn't, then this one's for you.So HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Elyse shares her transformative Ash Wednesday experience during the pandemic and why spending 40 days reflecting on Christ's suffering changed everything about her faith. This isn't about earning brownie points with God through religious rituals. It's about understanding that before glory comes suffering—and why Western Christianity desperately needs to recover this truth. Elyse unpacks how fasting reveals our weakness so we can rest in Christ's strength, and why biblical lament looks nothing like hopeless despair. This conversation challenges our therapeutic, comfort-obsessed culture. Discover why the church calendar isn't just liturgical tradition—it's discipleship that keeps Christ's life and work constantly before our eyes. Not yet 40, the filmmaker's credits speak for themselves, FRUITVALE STATION, CREED, BLACK PANTHER, WAKANDA FOREVER, and now SINNERS. He joins Josh to talk about all of it, why he's in love with film over digital, and what it will mean to him to call action on Denzel Washington.
