In this Podcast we examine how one cannot be righteous by one's obedience to the law. If there is a righteousness for man before God, then it must be sought outside the law, yet not altogether without the law. The law actually defines the righteousness we need but does not provide that righteousness. https://www.patreon.com/SGBibleChurch http://www.sgbiblechurch.com/

God judges with complete equity. What is your understanding God's verdict against your sin? Unless you see yourself as a sinner with absolute guilt, then you have some misunderstanding of God's application of the law. https://www.patreon.com/SGBibleChurch
Some Jews in the days of Jesus had a misunderstanding of how their covenant relationship affected their sins. They thought that God would be happy with their religious ceremonies. But God is a God of truth and will acknowledge that truth whether for good or bad. We apply to ourselves my not following in their footsteps. We ought not look down on those who are not "blessed" with knowledge like we are, but rather we should compare God's truth to our own actions. We will see in later podcasts how this attitude can lead to salvation. https://www.patreon.com/SGBibleChurch
In Romans chapter we begin to see that even though the Jew stand in a special, covenantal relationship to God, they must still obey universal norms. God's nature cannot change and therefore every covenant God enters into, must accommodate his holy nature. there is no covenant God can make which would alleviate man from certain obligations of behavior towards God. https://www.patreon.com/SGBibleChurch

In seeking to understand End Time Prophecy, we have previously laid the foundation of how a sound, doctrinal understanding of Covenant Theology is indispensable for understanding Eschatology. Not we move into the very basics of the Resurrection. We will use the simple understanding of the Resurrection as found in 1 Corinthians 15 to build all other eschatology upon.
We are going to explore the History of the Law. Every history has a beginning and the beginning of the Law goes all the way back to before the foundation of the earth. There we find the words, "In the beginning God created..." God was alone and un-influenced in his act of creation. As such not even foreknowledge acted upon God but only from with in God. Foreknowledge is not forced upon God but comes from within God. God is sovereign over his own foreknowledge.
In this Sermon from Sovereign Grace Bible Church in Harrah, OK we explore the basics in the promises made to Abraham. We will see some of the errors of dispensationism in limiting God's promises to Israel to being physical and national. What we find out when reading the whole of scripture, we find the very Gospel of Christ in those promises.
In the Sermon we look in part why the Old Covenant is not the ultimate eschatological purpose of God.
