Looking at Jesus' ministry in his hometown and the disciples' first mission trip help us understand the breadth of Christian ministry. Christian ministry is about gathering AND sending, good works AND evangelism, giving AND receiving. And it involves acceptance AND rejection.
Special thanks to Klaas Broersma for preaching and to Marion Hannaford for leading the worship service. Pastor Steve is in Valemount on a course with the Rocky Mountain Rangers.

In 1985 Don and Judi relocated to Kamloops to assume pastoral responsibilities at Southwest Community Baptist Church. Following their ministry as Southwest, the Harrison's planted a Vineyard congregation in Kamloops which they served for fourteen years, during which time Pastor Don also ministered in Nepal and India teaching emerging leaders in newly planted churches, and overseeing the Kingdom Fund--a micro-banking ministry to the poor. Pastor Don retired from full-time pastoral ministry in 2011, attends Summit Baptist Church, remains active in the Kamloops Ministerial, and currently serves as spiritual advisor to the Young Life Ministry here in our community.
