Conversations Around Faith & Culture. Pastor Micah Eldridge from Lifegate Church hosts this podcast which serves as a space for dialogue around issues of faith that are relevant to our lives.
We began this 10 day journey by taking a realistic look at the world in which we live. It is our responsibility to share God's love and the good news of Jesus Christ at every opportunity. How can we finish strong? By always looking up and focusing on the Lord Jesus.
We experience hardship and pain in this life because we live in a broke world. Sin and sickness affect everyone and everything. God is worthy of our trust and will sustain us in His strength and peace through these experiences.
Our journey of faith follows a path that takes us to the mountaintops! This path that God has established is an intentional, purposeful "road" that ultimately leads to our eternal home in heaven.
The journey of faith always begins with a question. Each individual's journey will face a high likelihood of unforeseen obstacles in your path. We need to learn to do our part in this faith journey and allow God to do His part.
Life will have valleys of loss, grief and pain, all of which can present formidable challenges to our faith. As a child of God know that you are secure in the Lord's promise that he will never leave us nor forsake us.
Weariness is a discouragement of the soul that many of us can face in our lives. Jesus promises rest, the anecdote of weariness, but the rest of God requires diligence and striving on our part. If we interact with Jesus daily we will experience His presence and His rest.
How can we handle life situations that consume our joy, peace or hope? Often times we expect God to move in a certain way and in a certain time, only to find the Lord has a different plan. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up.
Is being content in whatever state you are in truly possible? With the Living Water of the Lord Jesus that contentment is not only possible, but can lead to His grace and love flowing out of us and into the lives of others.
Through the ups and downs of daily life, God wraps us in His love and His grace. God is mindful of every detail of our lives and promises there will be no interruption of His supply of peace, joy, and the fruit of righteousness.
The world we live in is broken and in constant turmoil. With Day 1 of this devotional we remember to turn to the Lord Jesus as He promised "I will never leave you nor forsake you"
