Mick 'Ronno' Ronson may be the greatest sideman of all time. A brilliant producer and multi-instrumentalist, it is nonetheless his incredible guitar playing for which he will most be remembered (as well as excellent hair). Coming out of the glam era as its most important and respected player, he bolstered many famous careers with his taste, tone and touch - although his solo career sadly never really took off. If there was anyone who deserved more, it's Ronno...

Is Tom Morello the last true original? Certainly, he is one of the most influential guitarists of modern times. A master of both precision playing and noisemaking, he has crossed genres and forged new ground across his storied and remarkable career.  And, along the way, he has created some of the best riffs of al time. 

George Harrison was in a little group you may have heard of called 'The Beatles'.  This alone makes him one of the most important guitarists ever to have walked the Earth. However, some of his most important and innovative playing happened outside that group, after the storm had passed. Join us, as we talk sitars and slide playing, and celebrate the genius of The Quiet One. 

Jeff Beck terrifies guitarists everywhere. He made sounds no one else could fathom, played the instrument in ways no one else could copy and took the electric guitar in directions no one saw coming. He may or may not have been the influence for Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel. Either way, he remains a huge influence on anyone who every picked up an electric guitar. Oh, and he fixed hot rods too. 

A quiet, gentle man, liked by all, Randy Rhoads changed the course of rock - and especially metal. His neo-classical stylings, his incredible precision and his deep love of his instrument helps him to stand apart from so many other rock n rollers. Seemingly more interested in music itself, and in learning and teaching it especially, then the rock world and its trappings, he touched all that he met and played with - and was truly one of the greats.  

Duane Allman's career was short-lived, but the music he created in that short window was truly timeless. Many consider him to be the greatest slide player of all time, but he was equally at home playing straight-ahead lead guitar. A genius session player in the studio, his true home was on stage, weaving solos as long as his sideburns, in jam sessions that are still legendary today.  Ladies and gents: Skydog!

Prince's musicianship is legend. Prince's songwriting is legend. Prince's predilection for sexytimes is legend. But has he also been hiding in plain sight as one of the all-time great guitarists? Yes. Yes he has. Featuring a special, guest appearance from Jared Delaney from 'When Doves Podcast'.
