This episode discusses one of the most debated topics in education, high stakes testing. This will discuss a short overview of our state's journey on high stakes testing. Additionally, we will discuss the potential future of high stakes testing in education.

In early 2020, the United States and education were changed when the Covid-19 pandemic began to take hold in our world. With this pandemic, the world has experienced a new normal for everything including education. During this time there were a lot of changes that occurred in education which we had the opportunity to experience and implement. Due to this pandemic, it gave educators time to reflect on the past, present, and future of education. In this episode, we will discuss where we have been, where we are currently and begin to look at the future of education during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Mentors play an important role in education. From becoming an educator to the structure of your classroom, a mentor has had an integral part in your process. In this episode, you will hear about several mentors who shaped my career and my classroom. You will also hear about the role educators play in the mentoring process for other teachers and students.

In this episode, I will share my story of becoming an educator. This episode will also share the purpose of the water fountain in middle school hallways and the purpose of this podcast going forward.
