In this week's episode of The Energy Code, Dr. Mike Belkowski is joined by BioLight CMO Don Bailey, who takes over the mic to ask Dr. Mike the questions you've always wanted answered about one of the most foundational — yet misunderstood — pillars of health: redox potential. What exactly is redox potential, and how does it impact your energy, aging, and healing? Dr. Mike breaks down how the modern world drains your body of electrons — and what you can do to recharge. From oxidative stress to grounding, water quality to quantum tunneling, this conversation connects the dots between light, electricity, and vitality at a cellular level. Expect a powerful exploration of how redox balance determines everything from mitochondrial function to mood, recovery, and longevity — and practical tools to raise your “internal charge.” Key Topics Covered Redox Potential 101 – What it means, how it's measured in millivolts, and why “more negative” means better health. Oxidation vs. Reduction – How too much oxidation leads to stress and disease, and how balance is key to healing. Modern Electron Deficiency – The surprising ways EMFs, processed food, poor water, and even emotions strip electrons. The Mitochondrial Connection – Why improving redox potential automatically enhances energy production and longevity. Breathing, Stress & Redox – How proper breathing, meditation, and HRV impact your cellular charge. Antioxidants & Electrons – Why 90%+ of your antioxidant power comes from your body — not your diet. Quantum Biology & Energy Medicine – Exploring the quantum spin and tunneling that link methylene blue and mitochondrial repair. Everyday Upgrades – Simple habits to raise your redox potential: grounding, sunlight, hydration, and better sleep. Key Quotes Dr. Mike Belkowski: “Anything that's inherently bad for your health is lowering your redox potential. Anything that's health-promoting is giving you electrons and raising it.” “Low redox potential means low healing capacity. High redox potential means vitality.” “Modern living steals electrons — from EMFs to stress to poor water. If you don't replace them, you're running on empty.” Don Bailey: “It's fascinating how our technological advancements have divorced us from nature — and now we're forced to supplement what our ancestors got for free.” Episode Timeline 00:00 – Intro: Why modern living depletes your electrons 02:00 – What redox potential actually means 06:00 – Oxidation, reduction, and balance in the body 12:00 – How excess free radicals and EMFs steal your health 17:00 – Antioxidants, glutathione, and your body's self-defense system 19:00 – Reading from The Mitochondria Manifesto: “Modern Living Steals Electrons” 26:00 – How modern tech separates us from nature 33:00 – Redox potential and disease prevention 36:00 – Aging, telomeres, and oxidative breakdown 38:00 – The redox-mitochondria connection 41:00 – Can we measure redox potential? 43:00 – How breathing and meditation improve redox 46:00 – Redox and quantum biology 49:00 – Rapid fire Q&A: fatigue, brain fog, mood, and stress 55:00 – Simple hacks to raise redox potential today 57:00 – Closing: Could mastering redox be the real Fountain of Youth? In this week's episode of The Energy Code, Dr. Mike Belkowski sits down with Kashif Khan, founder of The DNA Company and author of The DNA Way. Kashif has pioneered the field of functional genomics, using DNA as a roadmap to optimize prevention, performance, and longevity. Through his own healing journey and years of research, Kashif reveals how our unique genetic blueprint influences everything from mitochondrial capacity and detox pathways to hormone balance, brain health, and even how we age. Expect a fascinating deep dive into the science of DNA, personalized health, and practical tools you can use today to align your lifestyle with your genetics. Key Topics Covered Kashif's Origin Story – How a personal health crisis and his mother's recovery from arthritis inspired him to explore functional genomics. Functional vs. Traditional Genetics – Why standard DNA reports are often unhelpful, and how functional genomics provides actionable insights. The Science of Aging – How telomeres, oxidative stress, and gene expression drive aging — and why humans are genetically designed to live 120 years. Nutrition & Genes – How your DNA determines whether you thrive on keto, plant-based diets, or specific nutrient forms like retinol vs. beta carotene. Detoxification & Cellular Health – Why impaired pathways for glutathione, methylation, and mitochondrial function accelerate disease risk. Hormones & Healthspan – Genetic factors in estrogen/testosterone balance, women's hormone health, libido, fertility, and even body type. Heart Rate Variability & Longevity – HRV as a powerful biomarker for parasympathetic health, metabolic reset, and mitochondrial resilience. Cardiovascular & Mitochondrial Health – How genetics impact endothelial repair, cholesterol use, and red light therapy's role in energy optimization. Practical Genomic Strategies – Supplements, diet, and lifestyle hacks that align with your DNA to improve resilience, energy, and long-term vitality. Key Quotes Kashif Khan: “Functional genomics isn't about telling you what disease you might get — it's about showing you which pathways are broken and how to fix them.” “Aging is simply your DNA instruction manual becoming illegible. Protect your DNA, and you protect your youth.” “You don't need to add 50 years to your life. You were already designed for 120 — you just need to stop taking years away.” Dr. Mike Belkowski: “The practical applications of genomics are what excite me most — this isn't just data, it's a blueprint for vitality.” “Listening to you break down my DNA felt like holding up a mirror — it explained things I didn't even know about myself.” Episode Timeline 00:00 – Introduction: Why nuclear DNA is as critical as mitochondrial DNA 02:00 – Kashif's personal health journey and founding The DNA Company 05:30 – Functional genomics vs. traditional DNA reports 12:00 – How DNA damage and telomere loss drive aging 19:30 – Hormone genetics: testosterone, estrogen, and body type 27:00 – Nutrition by your genes: keto, veganism, nutrient pathways 34:00 – Cardiovascular genetics: cholesterol, nitric oxide, and endothelial repair 41:00 – Methylation, gene expression, and adaptability 59:00 – Testosterone, estrogen dominance, and lifestyle choices 1:16:00 – HRV, vagus nerve stimulation, and longevity biomarkers 1:20:00 – Closing thoughts and Kashif's sense of purpose Resources & References Book: The DNA Way – Kashif Khan Kashif Khan Official: Website | Instagram @kashkhanofficial The DNA Company – Functional Genomics Research Dr. Sachin Patel – Metabolic Reset Program (HRV-based longevity coaching) Cardio Miracle & Caraway Artery – Nutritional support for endothelial health Stay Connected Dr. Mike Belkowski: Instagram @dr.mikebelkowski | LinkedIn | Facebook | BioLight Kashif Khan: Instagram @kashkhanofficial | KashKhanOfficial.com Don Bailey: X @DonBaileySpeaks

"If you want to make a difference, you need to start a podcast." Walker America sits down with Richard Greaser and Rod Palmer of the Bitcoin Bugle for a fast, funny, and surprisingly earnest tour of Bitcoin culture—why podcasting is the best truth-delivery mechanism we've got, how to respect your audience's scarce time, and what ethical monetization actually looks like (yes, even “Bitcoin QVC” for boomers—value first, no pleb-fleecing). Along the way they unpack vibes as a real coordination signal (and why public vibe checks matter), defend satire as journalism that cuts through cognitive dissonance, and challenge listeners to stop lurking and ship 21 episodes of their own show. From gear and production realities to collaboration and signal-boosting high-quality creators, the trio maps out a circular Bitcoin media economy—and shows how play (D&D, cosplay, comics) can be a stealth orange-pill without the preachiness. If you care about sound money, free speech, and building culture that lasts, this one's equal parts laughs, tactics, and a kick in the pants to start creating. From our series, "The Triune God."
Paul Michaelson left an early stage financial planning career track soon after graduating from CSU to launch a 2-location Taco Del Mar franchise in Fort Collins, in partnership with his brother-in-law. When the franchisor proved to be more of a hindrance than a help, they split off to become Matador Mexican Grill off Harmony and Timberline, and Toro - a quick-serve restaurant in Campus West, reliant upon the Matador's kitchen - and about 10 trips across town each day for Paul! Toro soon disappeared, but Matador has become a Fort Collins landmark, and staple food source for white-collar and blue collar, takeout and traveller alike. My relationship with Matador began when I was a banker at Capital West Bank, kitty-corner across the street, and at least every other Wednesday I would go in for their smothered burrito special, ghost sauce on the inside and bathing in Matador's delicious hot green chili. Drink two Arnold Palmers while eating my burrito, building a sweat and then a shiver - and returning to the office in an altered state was my habit on Wednesdays, and it's been a joy to reconnect with Paul as a collaborator of the Hot Nugs Conversation Series with Fort Collins Mayoral Candidates. Paul's is a journey of resilience, dedication, customer loyalty, and continuous deliciousness and creativity, so please enjoy, as I did, my conversation with Paul Michaelson. "Your relay policy doesn't make you a different Bitcoiner. Your consensus policy mainly does." In this episode of THE Bitcoin Podcast, Walker America is joined by Michael Tidwell — co-founder of TABConf and host of the BlockTime podcast. Together they dive into Bitcoin's latest debates, the philosophy of what really defines Bitcoin, and why high-signal conferences like TABConf matter for the future of freedom tech. From the history of Bitcoin meetups in Atlanta, to the block size wars, to today's controversies around Bitcoin Core v30 vs Knots, and user-activated soft forks (UASF), Tidwell brings a unique perspective on education, game theory, and Bitcoin's resilience. The conversation also covers Nostr, Meshtastic mesh networks, the importance of economic nodes, and why transparency and experimentation are essential to Bitcoin's immune system. If you care about Bitcoin's future, self-sovereignty, and the culture wars shaping the protocol, this one's a must-listen. "I cannot tell you how important it is for people to start thinking about self-custody and getting their own Bitcoin, getting it off exchanges, holding it yourself, becoming a sovereign individual, memorizing 12 words. Watch the first episode of our new season of Lectern Dialogues! This season's guest is Zevi Slavin. Zevi Slavin is a philosopher, educator, and public scholar whose work explores the intersections of mysticism and philosophy across traditions. As the creator of Seekers of Unity, he is dedicated to reviving and reinterpreting the voices of philosophical mystics, with a focus on Jewish thought and its dialogue with Greek and Islamic philosophy. A leading voice in the study of Jewish Neoplatonism, Slavin highlights figures such as Solomon Ibn Gabirol, whose integration of poetry, metaphysics, and theology offers profound resources for contemporary seekers. Through his research and public teaching, he advocates for a unified vision of reality that transcends artificial divides between traditions, demonstrating how historical thinkers can inform modern life, meaning, and spirituality.
