Send us a text! It's obviously true that the left has embraced full blown egalitarianism, but what's often overlooked is that Christian conservatives have also accepted positions that sacrifice biblical principles on sexed piety. One glaring example is George Gilder, an apparent conservative who wrote “Men and Marriage.” While espousing biblical forms of sexuality, many who read Gilder have accepted feminist presuppositions—the superiority of women and the idea that women are somehow by nature more noble, spiritual, and civilized than men. In this episode, we'll discuss other halfway houses, including complementarianism, chivalric cowardice, conservative power women, and even conservative versions of pornography. We need to root out these false doctrines, stop building man-pleasing halfway houses, and instead build our institutions on the bedrock of biblical principles, especially regarding sexuality. We've heard a lot about how Israel is a beneficiary and dependent on the United States. But is that really the case?“Our economy is heavily dependent on Israel. And there's this illusion that really irritates me—that somehow Israel is a dependent of the U.S., or some kind of abusive child or something. But Israel really gives us far more than they take,” argues George Gilder. He is an investor, economist, and best-selling author of 23 books, including the post-Oct. 7 updated edition of his 2009 book, “The Israel Test: How Israel's Genius Enriches and Challenges the World.”“You destroy Israel, the value of the world economy would drop by 50 percent,” says Gilder. “It's knowledge that enables wealth. And knowledge comes from human minds created in the image of their Creator. And this is the great monotheistic vision that Jews have vouchsafed to the world and that is crucial to Western civilization.”From the first pogroms in ancient Egypt and up to the present day, what role has envy played in anti-Semitism?“I think the evil in men's hearts is to tear down accomplishment, excellence, and genius. It's really a perverse envy that we all have to labor to overcome. I mean, envy is natural to all of us, and it's our Israel test. It cleaves the hearts of the world and it continues to challenge us,” says Gilder.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and the guest, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Townhall Review - August 31, 2024 Hugh Hewitt and Wisconsin Congressman Derrick Van Orden, also a retired Navy SEAL, ponder why the Biden administration hasn't commended Israel for rescuing hostages from savages. John Solomon and Chris Miller, who was acting Secretary of Defense under President Trump, criticize the lack of accountability for the 13 American lives lost during the Afghanistan withdrawal, emphasizing the disconnect between official statements and reality. Miller warns that this deceit undermines military values and public trust. Hugh Hewitt and Jonathan Schanzer, of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, discuss how the Biden Administration has forbidden Israel from ensuring there are consequences to those who attack the State of Israel. Dennis Prager and George Gilder, author of "The Israel Test," talk about the update his book received after the October 7 attack on Israel. Gilder highlights how the United States, in many ways, is more dependent on Israel than Israel is on the United States. Hugh Hewitt invites Walter Russell Mead, author of “The Arc of a Covenant: The United States, Israel, and the Fate of the Jewish People,” to talk about the state of the American-Israeli connection today, and how Donald Trump was able to make breakthroughs in the Middle East, unlike any of his predecessors or President Biden.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
I have to admit that I'm always a little uncomfortable with non-Jews fetishizing the supposedly unique gifts & accomplishments of the Jewish people. A century ago, Winston Churchill did it. And now George Gilder, the influential tech futurist, picks up that Churchillian mantle in a new edition of his 2012 book The Israel Test. Israel's “genius”, Gilder argues, “enriches” the world to such an extent that anyone who questions it is, by definition, a critic of innovation, freedom and progress - not to mention, of course, a rabid anti-semite. I'm not convinced. But then, as a secular Jew who would fail Gilder's Israel Test, what do I know?GEORGE GILDER‘s books have sold more than two million copies worldwide. In Wealth and Poverty, one of the most influential works of our time, Gilder made the moral case for capitalist creativity. In Spirit of Enterprise, Microcosm, Telecosm, Life After Television, Life After Google, a bestseller in both the US and China, and Life After Capitalism, Gilder achieved renown as a stunningly accurate prophet of the direction of technology development and enterprise, including Israel's promethean contributions. With Men & Marriage, republished in 2024, he maintained a half century of rare insight in social theory. Long a contributing editor to Forbes magazine, Gilder has produced the annual Gilder/Forbes Telecosm Conference, now called COSM, offering leading edge forecasts and analysis from the world's top technology firms and research centers. Gilder also heads Gilder Technology Group, focusing on breakthrough technologies, and writes or edits four investment letters for Eagle Publishing. In 1986 President Ronald Reagan presented Gilder the White House Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence. A founding fellow of the Discovery Institute in Seattle, he writes for such national publications as The Wall Street Journal, Wired, National Review, The New Criterion, The American Spectator, and Claremont Review.Named as one of the "100 most connected men" by GQ magazine, Andrew Keen is amongst the world's best known broadcasters and commentators. According to author George Gilder, a woman's contribution to the culture and the continuity of the human race is secure and even defined by biology. By contrast, the male role has been minimized, and to our detriment, has eroded a man's sense of self-worth and societal purpose. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson continues his fascinating discussion with Gilder about his book, Men and Marriage. Genesis 1:27 declares, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them: male and female he created them. God's plan is perfect, and we would do well to adhere to it! This Flashback Friday is from episode 1139 published last Feb 27, 2019. Jason Hartman and Adam start off today's show discussing one of the keynote speakers for this year's Meet the Masters event, George Gilder. Gilder has quite the history and the two break down what he did back in the 90s, what he's doing now, and why he's still relevant. Then Jason talks with Dr. Randy Wray, one of the foremost experts in Modern Monetary Theory, about why Minsky the philosopher is important, what exactly MMT is and why it's relevant in today's monetary society. They especially tackle the job guarantee program that MMT espouses and what's coming up for the US in the economy for the next few years. She had left her family in WV to escape an abusive relationship. She traveled to OH where she took a warehouse job, and routinely sent letters and war bonds home to her children. In February, 1945, she filed for divorce. The following month, she quit her job and vanished. Her family had searched for her ever since. Decades after she went missing, Detective Adam Turner was tasked with trying to do what seemed impossible- figure out what happened to Mary Jane decades before when she vanished. It was an uphill battle, but against the odds, through hard work and refusal to give up, Detective Turner solved the mystery. He found out that Mary Jane Croft Van Gilder had started her life over as Mary Jane Sebren. She possibly re-married, and then had additional children. She lived the rest of her life without either of her 2 families knowing about the other before she passed away in 1990. In this episode, the first of two parts, we recap what happened, and what we know, and we re-play our original interview with Mary Jane's daughter, Anna. In our next episode of Missing Persons, we will have an all new interview with Detective Adam Turner who breaks down just how he was able to solve this case, and what else he knows about Mary Jane's disappearance, and new life. According to author George Gilder, a woman's contribution to the culture and the continuity of the human race is secure and even defined by biology. By contrast, a man's role has been minimized. On today's edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Gilder continue discussing Gilder's book, Men and Marriage. They also talk about gender roles in society and how a man's role is not defined biologically, but culturally. Genesis 1:27 declares, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them: male and female he created them. Nearly four decades after investor George Gilder's book “Wealth and Poverty” helped shape the economic policies of Ronald Reagan, Gilder sits down to discuss his forthcoming book “Life After Capitalism.”“As Peter Thiel declares, in the past, when you went public as a company, you gained new influence and power and marketing ability, and new capital and freedom. Now, when you go public, you get nationalized. And you become a kind of instrument of government policy,” says Gilder.Gilder also believes that many of the policies surrounding public health during the pandemic were actually weakening people's immune systems under the guise of protection.“We're trying to engineer a new dark age for our immune systems, trying to retard the learning processes that render our immune systems capable of facing the new threats—the unexpected threats—that may arise in the future,” says Gilder. We dive into environmental and pandemic policy, Silicon Valley and academia, and Gilder's information theory on economics, which applies the study of how information is communicated and stored to our mental, physiological and political systems.“This information theory that's often applied to fiber-optic lines or wireless transmissions actually also applies to our minds and bodies,” says Gilder.Follow EpochTV on social media:Twitter: https://twitter.com/EpochTVusRumble: https://rumble.com/c/EpochTVTruth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@EpochTVGettr: https://gettr.com/user/epochtvFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/EpochTVusGab: https://gab.com/EpochTVTelegram: https://t.me/EpochTV
