The Disney news kept on coming and coming this week. The global coronavirus crisis forced both Tokyo parks to close, Bob Iger stepped down as Disney CEO and was replaced by Disney Parks' Bob Chapek, Jungle Cruise shut down after a boat sank, and we got new details on EPCOT's Spaceship Earth renovation. Strap yourselves in!
This week, after discussing possible updates to Epcot's Spaceship Earth, we finish up the third season by nailing down final layouts for Versus, featuring Scottland on the left and JimCity on the right. Jim starts things off by having trouble explaining something he should be good at by now and Scottye follows it up with a confusing romp around promenades that may or may not be shaped like the male anatomy as drawn by MC Escher. Remember to tune in next week as we look back at the first year of Opposite Attractions and then take a week off while Jim has himself a vacation and we plan out what the next season will have in store.
This week Bryce Yelverton fills in for Jonathan Dichter as co-host and we talk about some Disney experiences that are new to the parks and also just new to him. There is so much that has been added to the Walt Disney World resort over the last couple of years, and we'll talk about some of these new experiences as well as give our thoughts and opinions on them. In the news this week, Disney starts a new express bus service, Epcot's Spaceship Earth gets transformed into the Death Star from Star Wars, a new dining experience comes to the monorail resorts, 2017 Food and Wine Festival dates are announced, and much more. EB and Mike are taking a week off for the holidays. But, they have produced this video podcast showing you the complete circuit of Mike's 2011 Christmas Tree Monorail! Mike set up the Walt Disney World Monorail toy under his Christmas Tree. Two trains (Yellow and Black) move through a track switch and visit EPCOT's Spaceship Earth along with Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Resort.
Episode #144 is a update of previous Project Tomorrow coverage at Epcot's Spaceship Earth. This video includes footage of several new features at the post show of the newly refurbished attraction.
