Flight 44: If it moves on wheels at Disneyland, it was probably designed by 93-year old Disney Legend and Thea Lifetime Achievement recipient, Bob Gurr.   Walt Disney was so impressed with his knowledge and skill, that he invited Bob Gurr to join WED Enterprises to design the very first Autopia cars that debuted at Disneyland in 1955. Over the past 74 years, Bob has made transportation magic worldwide, developing such legendary Disneyland ride vehicles as the Monorail, the Flying Saucers, the Haunted Mansion “Doom Buggies," the Submarine Voyage sub fleet, the PeopleMover, and the Matterhorn Bobsleds. After “retiring” in 1981, Bob went on to co-found Sequoia Creative and design the massive King Kong animatronic for Universal Studios Hollywood. News: Earlier this week was St. Patrick's Day and Disneyland had limited offerings. The only things at the resort were a version of the Gray Stuff – called The Green Stuff at Red Rose Tavern, and a St. Paddy's Day t-shirt featuring Kermit the Frog. News: With the upcoming 70th anniversary at Disneyland coming up fast, there has been some work to get the parks in tip-top shape. Last week, Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge had the cannons fixed! This effect has not been working for the last year or more. Rumor online is that it was a programming issue that over the course of the day the movement got out of sync and caused the attraction to stop working. Over in Disney California Adventure, Elias & Co. on Buena Vista Street is behind scrim and scaffold, the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land is still working on the updates to the main office. The new seating area nearby has also partially gone back behind walls to add what looks like a shade covering to the spot. The Little Mermaid is still open, but getting an extended standby queue. The Disneyland Monorail and Disneyland Railroad are closed until early March to work on new entrance gates for the Downtown Disney station of the Monorail, and the rest of the track replacement for the Disneyland Railroad. The heavy rain flowed down the walkway to Bayou Country and right into the front door of the shop. Tee times are every 30 minutes, with with discounts for hotel guests and Magic Keyholders. Prices range from $28-$33, plus a $2 per person service fee. The biscuits are made with sharp cheddar and cajun cheese, and are brushed with garlic butter. The sauce is not overly spicy and adds a sharper cheese flavor.
