In this episode Doc Mack and Gamer of the Year 2015 Pete Hahn are joined by arcade regulars Mases Hagopian, Jamie Tibbets, Bryan Schillo, and Gamer of Year 2014 Fred DeHart. We go over new house high and World Record scores set in the last couple weeks, and events coming up soon such as our Skycurser Launch event. We also go into depth about score "padding" or "leeching" and discuss how it could discourage new players from playing or settings scores, and the benefits of setting up new "tracks" or play rules to determine true skill and show mastery of arcade games. Thanks for listening!
In this episode of the Galloping Ghost Arcade Podcast, Doc Mack and Pete Hahn are joined by Shmuppin' with J.T. & The Hambone hosts Jamie Tibbetts and Fred DeHart. We cover many topics, including: recent scores set at Galloping Ghost Arcade, upcoming events such as Troll Bowl 2, and American Horror Scoring 2. We also debate the use of MAME and using saved states to practice trouble areas (and its effect on scoring vs those who won't use them). We also talk about leeching aka point padding, and get into a few more side topics. Please let us know what you think about any of the topics we covered, and also if there are any questions for next episode, post them up here! Thanks for listening, as always.
