This week on The Baseline NBA Podcast, we break down the highs and lows shaping the NBA right now — from major injuries impacting contenders to historic performances that continue to redefine greatness.First , as injuries take center stage around the league. Jalen Suggs suffers a Grade 1 MCL contusion and is out indefinitely, while Jonas Valančiūnas is sidelined with a right calf strain and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. Combined with Nikola Jokić's knee injury, the Nuggets' frontcourt takes a major hit, raising real questions about depth, durability, and timing as the season unfolds. Highs:- The 2025 NBA Christmas Day games delivered 15-year viewership highs, with over 47 million U.S. viewers, reinforcing the NBA's cultural relevance and dominance in marquee moments. - Russell Westbrook moves into 7th all-time in assists, passing Magic Johnson — a milestone that adds another chapter to his Hall of Fame résumé. We also celebrate basketball greatness at the highest level. - Giannis Antetokounmpo continues his historic run, recording his 158th career 30/10/5 game, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for second all-time and closing in on Oscar Robertson.- LeBron James adds yet another legendary moment, posting 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists, becoming the oldest player ever to score 30+ and surpassing Kareem's mark for the most points by a 41-year-old. LeBron and Kareem now stand alone as the only players to score 25+ at age 41 — doing it at the exact same age, 41 years and 3 days.Lows:- We discuss Draymond Green's ejection following a controversial non–three-second call and what it says about composure, officiating, and reputation- Plus, Jaylen Brown's frustration after missing out on Eastern Conference Player of the Month sparks a deeper conversation on player recognition, narrative vs. metrics, and how awards are truly evaluated. Then we shift to the highs, where the league continues to shine on the biggest stages.- From injuries and controversy to records, ratings, and royalty, this episode captures the full spectrum of the NBA — where the highs are historic and the lows are unavoidable.

This week, we tackle the biggest faith questions young adults are asking right now (according to the recent Passion Conference) — from evidence for God's existence and the tension between free will and predestination, to suffering, salvation and thoughts on hell. It's an honest conversation about doubt, belief and why curiosity might be essential to spiritual growth. From there, Emily sits down with CITIZENS frontman Zach Bolen to talk about the band's new album Museum, being in the Christian music bubble while feeling like an outsider and why art doesn't need to explain itself to be meaningful. Plus, Jesse has some thoughts over the increasingly unhinged Guinness World Records, from pigs on skateboards to LEGO-related pain tolerance, and the crew plays a round of “Overrated, Underrated or Just Right,” covering reboots, word-of-the-year culture and more!Highlights:3:10 New Year check-in4:20 The Crown5:25 Why New Year's TV is terrible9:55 Fireworks gone wrong14:15 RELEVANT BUZZ17:05 The top faith questions young adults are asking at the Passion Conference31:00 Awards season highlights38:30 Zach Bolen of CITIZENS42:10 Faith, deconstruction, and the Nashville bubble46:20 Curiosity as a spiritual discipline50:10 SLICES50:14 Guinness World Records need a reboot56:20 OVERRATED, UNDERRATED, OR JUST RIGHT?Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

The conversation flips the mirror back on the audience too, questioning how fans loudly debate “real hip-hop” but rarely buy music, vinyl, or merch. The episode also dives into:Why streaming devalued musicHow desperation leads artists to sign terrible dealsThe myth of “direct-to-consumer” in a platform-controlled worldWhy being able to walk away is real leverageHow social media makes people feel famous without being paidWhy the industry adapted — and who forced their handThis isn't about defending labels. **Discussion begins at 7:30**In the late 1990s, Mexican Channel 5 would cut into cartoons and late night shows,  with a solemn voice and grainy black and white photos of missing people who had vanished without a trace.  One of these missing women was Selene Delgado, Lopez.  But decades later, nobody can agree on whether she ever existed.  Was Selene a real 18 year old who disappeared in Mexico City and whose case slipped through the cracks?  Or was she a media fabrication?  After all these years there are no official records, not family testimony, and no confirmed sightings.  And she's not the only one... In the 1980s, Chicago residents remember seeing a grainy black and white photo of another missing woman named Joanna Lopez that would air after the nightly news had wrapped.  But when the internet tried to solve the mystery decades later, things only got stranger. Records were scarce. Police files were practically nonexistent. Was Joanna ever truly reported missing? Was she part of a PSA campaign gone wrong? A broadcasting error? Or something else entirely?  This wee we are diving deep into these cases and attempting to get to the bottom of the truth about these two women.  Send us a textSupport the showTheme song by INDA

In this episode of The Daily, we break down the record-breaking peak retail season of 2025, which saw tender rejections soar above 13% amidst severe winter storms. We also explore why truckload order lead times continue to rise, hitting a six-year high as shippers adjust their strategies to cope with escalating trade tensions. The discussion turns to a critical regulatory standoff as California faces threats of federal funding cuts and CDL program decertification over improperly issued non-domiciled licenses. This potential "nuclear option" from the FMCSA could ground hundreds of thousands of drivers, creating a massive liability risk for carriers and brokers alike. On the labor front, we analyze a major court ruling where Amazon lost its bid to halt NLRB proceedings, keeping the controversial "joint employer" designation in play for delivery service providers. Meanwhile, in the rail sector, Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern defend their merger application against competitors claiming the nearly 7,000-page filing is incomplete. Finally, we look south at the booming nearshoring trend where Chihuahua has emerged as Mexico's top exporting state driven by advanced manufacturing and electronics. We also discuss how Mexico's new tariffs on Asian imports are aligning with U.S. trade policy to reshape cross-border logistics in 2026. Marriage records are one of the three core types of vital records every family historian should learn to use. Birth, marriage, and death records often work together like a three legged stool. If you are missing one leg, the whole picture feels shaky. A marriage record can connect a woman's maiden name to her married name, link parents to children, confirm relationships you only guessed at, and point you toward a new place to search. Even better, a marriage record often answers questions you did not know to ask. It may tell you where the bride and groom were living at the time, how old they were, whether either person had been married before, what church or official performed the ceremony, who witnessed it, and sometimes the names of parents or even grandparents. In some areas, the record will also name the bondsman, surety, or person who gave permission for the marriage, which can be a close relative and a valuable clue. Marriage records also help you avoid classic traps. Many people share the same name, especially in the same county. A marriage record can separate two men named John Smith by showing different ages, residences, or spouses. It can also help you place the right children with the right couple, because the marriage date gives you a timeline that can be compared with census records and births... Be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcasting app or on the Ranch It Up Radio Show YouTube Channel. New Year's Resolutions For Ranchers   We all need to have resolutions for the new year!  But what about the ranchers?  Here is our list for 2026: Thou shall finally return the borrowed farm equipment Thou shall keep better records, because apparently, a general sense of where the cows are doesn't count as inventory management. Thou shall reduce shouting by 50% while working cattle with the misses Thou shall check the air in the trailer tires before using it.   Thou shall confirm hand signals before backing up to any implement or trailer with the misses Thou shall make sure all ear tags will be legible and if I can't make them legible, I will assign the task to someone that can write legible.   Thou shall fill all fuel tanks on vehicles when they are down to ¼ tank. Thou shall not assume that everyone that helps sort cows knows exactly what I mean when I shout the black one when 253 of them are black.   Thou shall take the batteries out of the hot shot before working cattle of any kind.   Thou shall remember that everytime working with dogs, horses and animals of any kind at any time is a training opportunity and bad behavior is always rewarded with bad behavior. Thou shall realize that the neighbor is not out to “one up me on everything”.  If they want to get that new truck, let them and be happy for them.   Record Setting Land Prices In 2025 2025 was quite a year, depending on which side of the fence you were on per say.  Records being set in the beef arena of course.  Get this out.  Did you hear of the record $32,000 per acre land sale that took place in early December in Iowa?  Yeah, in Sioux County, near Orange City Iowa, 35.51 acres.  Brownfield's Brent Barnett interviewed Jim Rothermich, the vice president of Iowa Appraisal on the sale and the details.   Reference: https://www.brownfieldagnews.com/news/northwest-iowa-farmland-sells-for-32k-per-acre/   Record Setting Steer Prices The highest prices ever paid for 800–899 lb steers are concentrated entirely in the months of September and October, reflecting a historically strong fall market. Valentine Livestock Auction accounts for five of the top ten sales, underscoring its outsized role in setting record values in this weight class. Nebraska dominates the list overall, hosting eight of the ten highest-priced sales. Four sales reached or exceeded the $400.00 per hundredweight threshold, marking an unprecedented level for 8-weight steers. Pratt Livestock Auction stands as the only market from Kansas to appear among these records, while Hub City Livestock Auction is the sole representative from South Dakota, further highlighting the regional concentration of these historic prices. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has repeatedly drawn criticism for missed opportunities, delayed action, and opaque decision-making throughout the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. As early as the 1990s, the FBI received detailed complaints alleging abuse and trafficking, yet those warnings failed to trigger decisive intervention. Victim reports were documented but not meaningfully pursued, evidence languished without aggressive follow-up, and coordination with other agencies appeared inconsistent at best. These early failures allowed Epstein to continue operating for years, expanding both his network and the scale of harm while federal scrutiny remained fragmented and sluggish.Even after Epstein's 2008 non-prosecution agreement ignited public outrage, the Bureau's performance continued to raise alarms. Records battles with survivors, slow or incomplete document releases, and revelations that key investigative leads were deprioritized have reinforced perceptions of institutional breakdown. Critics argue the FBI repeatedly defaulted to narrow interpretations of jurisdiction and authority rather than pressing forward with a comprehensive enterprise-level investigation. The cumulative effect has been devastating: a case marked not by a lack of information, but by a pattern of hesitation and retreat that undermined accountability and deepened mistrust in the Bureau's handling of one of the most consequential criminal investigations of its era.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

In this episode, we delve into the latest astronomical marvels and groundbreaking developments that are shaping our understanding of the cosmos. We kick off with an astonishing achievement by SpaceX, which has shattered its own launch record with 165 orbital flights in 2025, averaging a launch every 2.2 days. The Falcon 9 rocket has been the backbone of this success, while the next-generation Starship is also making strides towards becoming a fully reusable heavy-lift vehicle.Next, we explore an innovative solution for cleaning up space junk, inspired by science fiction. Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder are developing a tractor beam that uses a focused electrostatic beam to attract and maneuver debris without physical contact, promising a safer method of orbital debris removal.Shifting our gaze beyond Earth, we discuss a recent search for alien signals from the interstellar object 3i Atlas. Despite initial excitement over potential technosignatures, the search yielded no definitive evidence of extraterrestrial technology, but it set a new standard for future investigations. We then dive into the burgeoning lunar resource race, where countries and companies are vying to mine the Moon for valuable resources like water ice and helium-3. However, outdated international laws complicate this endeavor, prompting calls for a clearer framework to ensure responsible mining practices. As we look to the night sky, we highlight celestial events to watch for, including the brightest star, Sirius, and an upcoming total lunar eclipse on March 3rd. Jupiter will also be at opposition, shining brightly throughout the night, while Venus returns as the evening star. Finally, we unravel a cosmic mystery nearly a thousand years in the making regarding the supernova remnant PA30. Recent findings reveal it to be a failed type 1ax supernova, with a surviving white dwarf at its center emitting powerful winds that shape the nebula's unique structure.Join us for these captivating stories and more in this episode of Astronomy Daily!00:00 – **This podcast features the latest in astronomy news from around the world00:32 – **In 2025, SpaceX successfully completed 165 orbital flights01:39 – **Researchers at Colorado Boulder are developing a tractor beam to clean up space junk02:54 – **Astronomers conducted a highly sensitive radio search on an interstellar visitor04:09 – **There's a growing and increasingly urgent international race to mine the moon05:36 – **There's plenty to see in the night sky as we head into 201906:43 – **Astronomers finally solve puzzle of supernova remnant known as PA3008:42 – **Until tomorrow, this has been Avery and Anna telling stories### Sources & Further Reading1. SpaceX2. University of Colorado Boulder3. NASA4. Space.com### Follow & ContactX/Twitter: @AstroDailyPodInstagram: @astrodailypodEmail: hello@astronomydaily.ioWebsite: astronomydaily.ioClear skies and see you next time!

The Christmas break is over and we got a bunch of rain & precipitation the last few days before getting snow dumped on top of that. Driving this morning was atrocious! Back to the grind for a few days this week before we'll once again be off for the New Year's holiday on Thursday & Friday. Speaking of New Year's, a new poll revealed what Americans really want to do on NYE. And since it is the end of 2025 this week, we looked at some end-of-the-year data from YouTube and Google. In the news, the Powerball was won on Christmas Eve by someone in Arkansas, the body of a missing swimmer is recovered, a #FloridaMan killed his wife & shot his stepdaughter over an argument about an NFL game, and the government is investigating a deadly crash involving two helicopters in New Jersey. In sports, a recap of this weekend's NFL action and a look at some of the important matchups in Week 18 with serious playoff implications! Myles Garrett is still looking for one sack to set the NFL record for sacks in a season. Plus, several other NFL records that could be set during the final week of play. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and discussed the things we were watching over the holiday break. Elsewhere in sports, the Bucks got Giannis back and saw immediate returns on that, the Badger men's basketball team gets back on the court tomorrow night, and a look at the Bowl game schedule. Great story about the power of positivity in Wisconsin as a small community comes together to find a missing dog. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a math teacher who sent sexually explicit texts to her fifth grade student, a man who is suing Outback Steakhouse after he claims a toilet injured him, a doomsday mom who allegedly abducted her four children and fled the country, and a video game addict who left a huge mess in a hotel room.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Federal officials disclosed that more than one million previously unidentified documents tied to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation were recently located, dramatically expanding the known universe of Epstein-related records. According to the Department of Justice, the files were discovered during a broader records review involving the FBI and federal prosecutors, after Congress had already mandated the release of Epstein materials under new transparency legislation. The DOJ said the size and scope of the newly found cache forced a pause in the release timeline, as attorneys must now determine what falls within the law, what can legally be disclosed, and what must be redacted—particularly material involving victims, sealed proceedings, or sensitive investigative information. The revelation immediately fueled skepticism and backlash, especially from Epstein survivors and transparency advocates who argue the discovery raises serious questions about how such a massive volume of material went unaccounted for in the first place. Critics say the announcement reinforces long-standing concerns that Epstein's case has been mishandled, slow-walked, or fragmented across agencies for decades, allowing crucial evidence to remain buried. Rather than reassuring the public, the sudden emergence of over a million files has intensified demands for oversight, hearings, and independent review, with many questioning whether the delay is a logistical reality—or yet another chapter in the ongoing failure to fully confront the Epstein network and its institutional protectors.to  contact  me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Join Sandra for a breathtaking conversation with Heather Vandermeyden, a woman who didn't just have one Near-Death Experience—she had a series of them. At just twenty years old, Heather faced a catastrophic medical crisis (ulcerative colitis, sepsis, and organ failure) that kept her in the ICU for three months. While her body withered away to 79 pounds and endured thirteen emergency surgeries, her spirit was busy traveling beyond the veil. In this episode, Heather details the more than twenty times she popped out of her body to escape the pain. She shares vivid descriptions of the "Ancient Healing Waters" that saved her liver, a visit to a Hall of Records (the Library), and a heartwarming reunion with her deceased grandmother and great-grandfather. She also describes seeing God stand in the doorway of the hospital room—a being of pure, non-judgmental love with vibrant blue eyes. Perhaps most miraculously, Heather describes meeting two specific children on the other side. Years later, unable to carry a pregnancy due to her surgeries, she fostered and adopted two children who matched the exact description of the souls she met in Heaven.
