Hackaday Editors Elliot Williams and Al Williams took a break to talk about their favorite hacks last week. You can drop in to hear about articulated mirrors, triacs, and even continuous 3D-printing modifications. Flying on an airplane this weekend? Maybe wait until you get back to read about how the air traffic control works. Back home, you can order a pizza on a Wii or run classic Basic games on a calculator. For the can't miss articles, the guys talked about very low Earth orbit satellites and talked about readers who dumpster dive. Check out the links over on Hackaday if you want to follow along, and don't be shy. Tell us what you think about this episode in the comments!

Number 1010Damn east coast weather ruined podcast plans, which means this is mostly a solo show. I think I manage to do okay, though! There was certainly plenty to talk about in the world of Nintendo, with lots of big news popping up over the last few days. New Switch 2 rumors, sales milestones, LEGO drops, a massive interview with Nintendo's president and more. PLUS we had our interview with the Dispatch devs and you guys supported GoNintendo in a HUGE way!

This week, the sisters kick things off by talking about the Year of the Fire Horse—what that energy represents and why it feels like a moment for boldness, movement, and telling the truth, even when it's uncomfortable. They also recap Christmas highlights and mishaps, including family Wii throwbacks, holiday traditions that still hold up, and the now-famous butter-soaked cheesecloth turkey (because if you're going to do it, you might as well do it right). The conversation turns to pop culture with a rundown of the Golden Globes—what stood out, what surprised them, and the moments everyone's still talking about. And of course, What's For Dinner is covered: Orange Chicken—a crowd-pleasing, weeknight-friendly meal that actually gets eaten. For recipes, links, and everything referenced in this episode, head to threelilfishes.com/shownotesSame sisters. Number 1008What does the new year bring us? A couple of sick podcast hosts, unfortunately! Mom Brain is sick, I'm also sick, and Deux Michaels is fighting off a cold as well. Deux stayed home for this episode and we kept Nicky Hill from getting infected, but myself and Mom Brain held things down at GN HQ for a briskly-paced episode to kick off 2026. Less filler, more news, and a heaping helping of germs!
I liked a lot about Cyberpunk 2077--from the side missions to the combat to the visuals and plenty more-- but the character of Johnny Silverhand and the performance of Keanu Reeves was not one of them. This wouldn't have been a big problem if he wasn't such a crucial part of the main story, but he is and can't help but show up all of the time, so I couldn't help but only like Cyberpunk 2077 when I thought I was going to love it. Anyway and as always, thank you for watching or listening, I hope you enjoy this here episode, and I hope you have a wonderful wonderful rest of your day. (And if you haven't already, or are a listener and not a watcher, please like, subscribe, hit the bell, and all that jazz; it may not seem like much, but it goes a long way in helping support the show and site in general. I would appreciate it greatly.)

Star Trek has found its new Bones and Sulu, yet we have to wait a while before we actually see them. The video game industry lost a true legend, and we salute everything Vince Zampella brought us. Marvel goes back to what it knows for Doomsday, and Macauly decides what is and isn't a Christmas Movie. Plus we may have to wait a little longer for 007's video game return.
But I did like it. A lot. (Please don't hurt me Undertale fans.) This episode is, surprise surprise, all about Undertale, an RPG where you can complete the entire adventure without killing a single soul...or you can kill everyone if that's your fancy. It's up to you (or me in this case) to decide what kind of tale you want to tell. Spoilers: I went the pacifist way. Number 1,004The game news might be slowing down as we're at the end of the year, but we've still got plenty to talk about! Obviously we share our thoughts on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, but that's not all. We get into online negativity, share some anime insights, do a Stranger Things deep dive, discuss Ubisoft's current Switch 2 output and SO much more. Oh, and did you know Frosty the Snowman had 3 secret families!?
