3.38 Welcome RPG Ramblings with Jeff Jones. This a semi–weekly show exploring the various details of the TableTop RPG hobby through discussions with interesting people. Today, James Floyd Kelly of Delver fame joins me. He writes and publishes zines one a regular basis supporting such systems as Old School Essentials, Shadowdark and Mothership. A Facebook discussion about Kickstarter ads prompted this meeting but we discussed the business ends of creating zines, running Kickstarters and managing expectations. Time to get moving. The GM is getting impatient and is about to make a wandering monster roll if I dally any more with this introduction. 2.03 Welcome RPG Ramblings with Jeff Jones. This a weekly show exploring the various details of the TableTop RPG hobby through discussions with interesting people. This week I have a discussion with three interesting people: Doug Cole, James Floyd Kelly and Zack Goins. Three times the guests at the same low price. We were scheduled to gather on Wednesday to record a session about Kickstarter and marketing topics. The ZineQuest 4 announcements left the RPG Zine community on Facebook reeling. The implication of Kickstarter's announcement is far-reaching. It shows how dependent community creators are upon this platform and also how precarious our standing is. The episode is a bit chaotic as we were all trying to come to terms with the situation and think about ways to deal with it. Sisters and Brothers, it is time to step on board the anxiety train and get rambling. ———————————————————————————————— Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/RPG_Ramblings ———————————————————————————————— Show Notes: ———————————————————————————————— RPG Ramblings Podcast: https://anchor.fm/jeffrey-jones6 ———————————————————————————————— James Floyd Kelly DriveThru RPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/14035/The-Tabletop-Engineer Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/274951579/delver-2-resources-for-the-random-rolling-referee ——————————————————————————————— Zac Goins Twitter: @xzacklee47 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bitesizedgames/ DriveThru: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/16733/BiteSized-Gaming ——————————————————————————————— Douglas Cole Gaming Ballistic, LLC email: gamingballisticllc@gmail.com Web Site: https://gamingballistic.com ———————————————————————————————— Jeff Jones Twitter: @I_Am_Jeffrey Itch.io: https://jeffrey-a-jones.itch.io DriveThru: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?author=Jeffrey%20A%20Jones Intro and Outro Music: Jungle Juice by Wataboi from Pixabay.com/music Sound Effects: https://sound-effects.bbcrewind.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jeffrey-jones6/message

1.47 Welcome RPG Ramblings with Jeff Jones. This a weekly show exploring the various details of the TableTop RPG hobby through discussions with interesting people. This week a group of us discuss our thoughts and we pondering questions regarding running Kickstarters. Running a project is very stressful and we are all seeking to improve our management of the Kickstarter. James Floyd Kelly, of Delver fame, hosted us on Zoom. Zac Goins, of Bite Sized Gaming, and Doug Cole, from Gaming Ballistics, rounded up the cast. Check the show notes for contact information and links. We do plan to do more of these in the future, but hopefully without the annoying buzz from my microphone. Sisters and brothers, we have an action-packed episode so we better get rambling.
