Owen opens up about navigating the emotional rollercoaster of house hunting for his own family (spoiler: it's way harder than investing), dealing with a lawn-obsessed neighbor, and nearly selling a property that's printing money… until he crunched the numbers and realized maybe not.Ted shares a raw look at the reality of short-term rentals, including a $7,000 booking gone sideways thanks to a frozen A/C and 3 a.m. guest messages. The guys dig into how tracking your business metrics (and your blind spots) can be the game-changer, not just for real estate, but for your life. They also tee up the upcoming REIA Radio interview with business ninja Kirk Jaffe — a serial entrepreneur, coach to the stars, and fixer of broken businesses. Why blog? It's amazing for SEOIt gives you things to talk about on socialIt gives you content for your newsletterIt's good for authority marketingIt increases engagement on your websiteSam explains that if you only write your blog and don't promote it, no one will ever find it. He says your blog needs to be about a theme. It needs to be about a topic and help to show that you are an expert in your field. For example, Samsuggests that a wedding photographer could review wedding venues. A blog without a theme or purpose is not much use. Also, consider what is valuable to your target audience and how the topic can demonstrate your expertise. Once you have a theme, we are then down to writing individual blogs. Marcus asks if your blog should be on your website or elsewhere. Sam says one of the points of a blog is helping with SEO. This does not happen if you use a blogging platform instead of your website.Blogs are words. Photographs only are not acceptable and don't work on their own. A blog must be at least 500 words. 1000 words average. Once it gets much over 1500 words, it's time to think about splitting into two smaller blogs. A mix of sizes is good, some longer, some shorter. For SEO, Google needs to understand who you are and what you do, and only words can do that. For social media, there is no point promoting your blog on social if it is only images, as they would expect to see the images on social anyway. Do use images in the blogs. But there should be plenty of text to go with the images. Do not fill space with photographs.  Organise the writing in your blog. Make it easier for people to skim read. Use sub-headings, bullet-pointed lists, etc, to help people skim read it. This structure helps people and Google to understand your blog. Give value in your blog. The blog has to be useful to them, or it won't be engaging.External and internal links are essential. Both to other websites (external links) and within your website to other pages and blogs (internal links).Marcus asks if Sam blogs and how he blogs. Sam says that inthe past, he has had copywriters blogging for him. This ensures that you get regular blogs created. But he also blogs himself, both written and video blogs. Sam says one key is ensuring you put time aside to create content. In terms of ideas, Sam often uses topics that have come up in conversations in the last fewweeks. Marcus asks about AI. Sam says it's good for some stuff. It is bad at writing blogs. Do not simply ask AI to write you a blog; it will be very generic and easy to spot. But it is useful. It is great for ideas. If you cannot think of anything to write, it can give you ideas. You can also ask for a blog structure. Don't 100% stick to the structure, as it will be quite bland. Then write the blog yourself. But once you have written it yourself, put it backthrough AI and ask for improvements. How do you get people to your blog? First of all, no one will come if you don't tell them about it. What can you do?Send out social media posts sending people to the blogMake an email newsletter and send people to the blog. Those are really good ways of getting people to your blog. As part of SEO, Google assess how popular your website is and how long people stay on the website. So by sending engaged people to the blog, you are helping with your website's SEO. Ensure that you have your website connected to Google Analytics so you can see who is visiting your blogs and where they are coming from.

Today we're diving into the heart of disciple-making. In this episode, Josh shares how a sermon by Dawson Trotman called "Born to Reproduce" changed his life. His mentor, Coach Dave Craft, introduced him to this impactful message, which highlights three main hurdles to spiritual reproduction: immaturity, sin, and lack of intimacy with Jesus. First, immaturity. Sometimes we think we're mature, but if we're not reproducing disciples, we need to grow more spiritually. Second, sin. Disobedience acts like a spiritual disease, hindering us from making disciples. Lastly, lack of intimacy. Without a close relationship with Jesus, we can't bear spiritual fruit. Josh realized these barriers were holding him back and addressed them head-on, encouraging all of us to do the same. Jason chimed in, comparing the longing to make disciples to the deep desire couples have for children, urging us to be just as passionate. The discussion shifted to the idea of blooming where you're planted. No need to wait for perfect conditions! Josh shared an inspiring story about a sunflower thriving in an unlikely spot, emphasizing that we can flourish spiritually anywhere. Jason shared a story about his friend Tim Palmer, who started a business despite obstacles, illustrating that we should stay faithful and trust God's timing. The episode wraps with a call to action: say 'yes' to Jesus now and join Him in the mission. Let His joy and guidance lead you to make a real impact right where you are. Check out discipleship.org for more resources, and let's get to work making disciples! Bless you guys!

SUMMARY: The Challenge of Understanding - Kim and I acknowledge and discuss, that many Christians (me included) struggle to truly love like Jesus without feeling like they're compromising biblical truth with regard to the LGBTQ community, and Kim shares her journey with her LGBTQ child. It's a genuine complexity to understand how to find balance and Kim sets the marker at the foot of the cross. Judgment vs. Discernment - Parts of the conversation focuses on the difference between judgment and discernment. Kim stresses the importance of building relationships and understanding individual stories because we can't expect to be heard if we don't first invest, aka listen. The Role of the Church - The conversation touches on the importance of allowing space for questions and struggles without fear of judgment or ostracism. Invite difficult conversations and differing viewpoints for the purpose of discovering and revealing God's truths and His heart about the matter for both the one struggling with identity issues as well as the believer who may have a heart posture that God wants to bring a deeper revelation that aligns with His truth, love, character and nature. Embracing Both Faith and Love - As Kim reveals, it's possible to hold onto faith while loving an LGBTQ child. Kim emphasizes that understanding doesn't mean affirming every choice but involves listening, empathizing, and walking alongside them. Tools and Resources - Kim's journey led to the creation of resources like "Pride and Promises," aimed at helping families navigate these complex dynamics. Final Reflections - The conversation ends with a powerful reminder of God's scandalous grace — a grace that doesn't discriminate and a love that is unwavering. Kim's story is a testament to the transformative power of love and the importance of reflecting Christ's love in all interactions. We can lay down the weight of judgement, which enables us to share God's truths without feeling responsible for the outcome and relax in the knowledge that the Holy Spirit is qualified to do His work. In navigating these challenging waters, may we all strive to embody the empathy, compassion, and love that Kim so beautifully advocates for. PODCAST INTRO: My guest is Kim Stlip and she is the founder of Pride and Promises, a beautiful ministry she created that equips believers to hold on to their Christian faith and their LGBTQ+ kids. But I want any parent listening to know, no matter how your child identifies you'll find great wisdom in the biblical discernment that Kim shares. Kim doesn't have any 3 letter adjectives behind her name or lofty degrees that declare her worthy but she is a mom with the courage to stand in the gap between God's truth in the holy scriptures and God's heart for humankind. Kim is motivated by the fact that many Christians struggle to truly love like Jesus without feeling like they're compromising biblical truth. When I think about the phrase of investing blood sweat and tears, surely Kim's picture is next to that description…actually, any mom who has been willing to be the punching bag (my words not Kims) for truth in the very context of a broken world and their children trying to find their way in it. I want to share my personal take away from our conversation because I could really relate to every bit of the relationship aspect of our conversation and relationships beyond my children. I do not have children who struggle with same sex attraction but relationship (across the board) is hard, complicated and layered. I used to think that the hardest part of raising children was when they were young and I was trying to bend their will to the things that would bring them reward, benefit, health. In my heart I was trying to equip my sons to contribute to the world in meaningful, purposeful ways. But no one told me it would be more difficult when they were adults and you have to watch them struggle with the complexities of life as it gets weightier and responsibility after responsibility is added to their years. Here's a quote from Kim “And the hard part is when we hold on so tightly to our right and your wrong, and we don't take one another's stories with empathy, then that's where we hold our fist up and we don't end up coming back together. And so you always diffuse anger with empathy and understanding. And truly, anger is almost always love disappointed.” That my friend hit me in the heart. I had a powerful reminder of the finished work of the cross when Kim brought us back to the cross….and it always comes down to this for any human being (and not just in the context of this topic, it's all of humanity)….if the opportunity to have direct access to God again was going to be a possibility then it was necessary for Christ to go to the cross. For me, my sins. Imagine yourself as the only person alive and Christ goes to the cross for you. He endured the horrific process of crucifixion, the bloody, beaten beyond recognition, publicly stripped naked, disfigured in every way; and I've read some commentary that pointed out you would not have been able to tell if he was male of female.  When Christ hung on the cross He had no guarantee that any of us would choose Him. Now, God knows our heart, the condition/character/nature and because of that He knows which one of us will choose Him but that does not negate the fact that our gift of choice is still a real thing. He doesn't man-handle our gift of choice. There's enough evil in the world to see that He does not intervene with our ability to choose. In other words, He doesn't remove that ability because we refuse to use it in a responsible, wise, healthy way but it is worth remembering He is capable of healing anything this broken world does to us via other peoples choices or the places we find ourselves in because of our own choices. Kim has such courage to have this delicate conversation pointing out that the core of where the conversation should be grounded is in the person of Christ versus where the church and most people, myself included focus on, and that is sexuality. I get it though, the world has made it a sexual issue but as believers we're to look through the lens of God's heart at the world around us. And that's what Kim does at Pride and Promises. A wealth of information that is honest, straightforward biblical truth and presented with the same compassion that Christ provided for each and every one of us on the cross. As Kim and I agreed, at the foot of the cross is level ground for sinners. When you hear Kim's heart behind her encouraging message, I hope that you have breakthrough in your personal life and personal relationships on every level. All of what she shares can be applied to any relationship we can experience because again, our conversations and heart motive should be grounded in the person of Christ. Let's talk about something real for a second… If you've ever found yourself feeling unheard, misunderstood, or straight-up overwhelmed by the noise of the world—you're not alone. And this episode? It's for you. Today, I'm diving into the concept of holding space—not just for others, but for yourself. Because the truth is, most of us are so busy reacting that we forget to actually listen. We listen to respond. We interrupt. We rush to fix. And in doing that, we miss the magic. In this episode, I'm unpacking how slowing down, choosing presence, and learning to hold space can radically change the way you show up in your relationships, in your business, and in your OWN mind. We're getting into things like: ✨Listening to learn instead of listening to reply ✨Why internal validation > external noise ✨How blame keeps us stuck (and what to do instead) ✨What happens when you stop moving a million miles a minute & actually feel your life again This isn't about perfection. It's about awareness. It's about responsibility. And it's about giving yourself permission to BE—right here, right now. So, take a breath. Let's get grounded. Let's get honest. Let's go there.

Josh kicks things off by noting that listeners had asked for this topic, and he's eager to unpack it. They trace the major revival movements in American history, starting with the First Great Awakening around 300 years ago, led by Jonathan Edwards. They walk through the Second Great Awakening with Charles Finney and his intercessor Nash, and the revivals led by D.L. Moody and Billy Graham, all of which were marked by repentance and spiritual renewal. They land on the 1970s Jesus Revolution, which they say might be the last nationwide revival—exactly 50 years ago. Josh and Jason suggest this 50-year pattern may signal another wave is coming. While not predicting anything specific, they urge listeners to stay spiritually alert and ready. They share powerful stories, like two elderly sisters who prayed revival into their community during the Hebrides Revival—where even ships passing by felt the weight of God's presence. Jason emphasizes the need to be structurally and spiritually prepared for revival, drawing from Jesus' teaching about counting the cost before building. Both hosts agree: revival won't come without prayer, repentance, fasting, and a willingness to sacrifice. They also stress that revival must lead to disciple-making—not just emotional experiences, but long-term transformation. True revival, they argue, involves everyone, not just a few leaders. The episode ends with a challenge: join the growing movement of prayer and fasting through Discipleship.org and prepare your heart and community for what God might do next.

They were complex, multifaceted beings known through their epithets—names like Areia, Paphia, Enodia, or Soteira. These titles held real meaning in temples, rituals, and the lives of worshippers. Today, we research and reconstruct these forgotten threads—not just to recover history, but to reclaim our own stories through them. These archetypes, developed through our research at the temple. are more than categories—they're mirrors.
