In music, nostalgia can be a tricky thing. People tend to complain that they’re not hearing much that sounds new.

Think "Hot Fun in the Summertime" by Sly Stone, "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey, "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama -- and damn near the entire Beach Boys catalog.Summer-related themes and references are certainly well-represented in the Nevada-based songs played by NV89, Nevada Public Radio’s music station in Reno.
Nevada voted to legalize recreational marijuana two years ago this month. And today, July 10, is known to pot enthusiasts as 710, a day honoring the growing legalization of cannabis oil and extracts.
