I am so excited to have Sean and Kay Levesque back on the podcast- they are founders and executive directors of Love2Hope, a family non-profit that works with audiences across America to understand human trafficking and their role in fighting it. Human trafficking was a hot topic this year with the release of the movie Sound of Freedom and we wanted to have a conversation to clarify and help others understand ways to support their communities. *Just a warning this is a very senative topic and we want you to listen with care *Also the audio quality of this episode was not up to our usual standard- despite the frustration/disturbance with the audio I still felt it was worth publishing this amazing conversation. Thank you for your grace while listening.
BakNaEffek ebonicaly speaking was the title of the album " Straight Up Sewaside" released in 1993 by Icon hiphop Duo Das Efx. We are back in effect (BakNaEffek) on lunchtime rant. Happy New Year! I recorded this episode last week with returning special guest producer Sean Kay at his Tits Across the Hall Studios. Friend of the podcast Allen Lewis was there too, taking a nap and occasionally laughing and distracting me. Don't worry tho--I kept all of that fun out of the episode and focused instead on Kent Law's Hadley V. Baxendale webpage. It'll definitely put you to sleep. Sweet dreams.
I'm in Reno and I didn't bring my recording equipment, so my good friend Sean Kay (whom you may recognize from many of the PtFAt social media posts) recorded this episode for me. The location might be different, but it's just as boring as ever. Tune in and #staysleepy friends.xoxo
Yesterday, Ryan Evans sat down with Sean Kay over a couple beers at the Jefferson Hotel's wonderful Quill Bar to discuss America's foreign policy trajectory and Sean's new book, America's Search for Security: The Triumph of Idealism and the Return of Realism. This wide-ranging conversation covered every topic a foreign policy wonk could dream of: Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan, the Cold War, NATO, Russia, President Obama, Ukraine, the Asia Pivot, the Middle East, and more. Sean has insightful points to offer on all of these topics and more based on his perspective as a scholar of foreign relations and still recovering government adviser. Image: White House
