I'll be defending COMICS today! Come in and listen - whether you like comics or think they are rubbish and provide no value to the world! I will hopefully be able to show how they can have value to educators, students, adults and young people. They can be so powerful if given the chance! As a life-long X-Men fan, I love the comics, cartoons and movies associated with these characters! That being said... I have big issues with the way they handled the continuity of the series - particularly in relation to sloppy, lazy writing that led to heaps of continuity errors. I will discuss them all here!

Just a quick intro into what I'll be talking about and why it matters to me. I'll talk a bit about Marvel and DC comics and movies, the importance of the symbolism and lessons of comics, of my attachment to the medium and how I've gotten into it. I'll talk about Cyclops and Superman and Stan Lee and why they matter to me. This is just an intro to who I am and why I want to share these things with you.
