    This week we sit down with, in the words of Jacob Kao, the slow end of the new Massachusetts state record holders for the 4x200 and runner up for the Adidas 2021 Indoor Nationals Sam Ahern and Alex Landry. Ahern who got 2nd in the open 200m and 1st in the 60m at the same Nationals meet talks about how he started in track, fell in love, and hasn't looked back since. Landry, the sophomore of the group is now the fastest ranked sophomore in the nation and finished in the top 15 for the open 200m with Ahern. Going through the race and that whole weekend, along with talk about the infamous Acton-Boxborough coaching staff and team culture, the training that they have put in, and what they are looking forward to with the upcoming years and seasons. Fun talk, overall a great episode with some laughs and some real talk about running and its community.

    This week with sit down with former Brookline now Dexter-Southfield student-athlete Myles Liss-Riordan. Already making a name for himself and being a successful runner before transferring and before the pandemic started, Myles has made huge strides and PRs in racing. Most notably is the 14:48 track 5k he ran this past fall at the RedTrack Time Trial. We discuss everything from his school transition, college recruitment and training, to his new training from Jacob Thompson in 2020 that was a huge factor in his success. Preaching patience in training and mental toughness for racing We would be shocked if Myles's success does not continue. It was great having him on and getting his thoughts and opinions on everything he has accomplished.

    This week we sit down with the members of 800 United, the new record holders of the U20 4x800m, Bailey Goggans (Texas), Roisin Willis (Wisconsin), Juliette Whittaker (Maryland), and Sophia Gorriaran (Rhode Island). We discuss how the team came together and the feelings behind the open 800 they raced the day before, and the relay. How their careers have been like being high-caliber athletes especially now with the current situation and how they are still finding ways to compete and show off their amazing talents. From family history to training plans to their personal taste in music, we enjoyed getting to know these young women and can't wait to see what other accomplishments they will achieve together and individually.
