The sensitive topic of police brutality and racial injustice in America that has been a cross for Black people to bear for decades. Recently, mainstream media has been forced to deal with it, thanks to a courageous 17 year-old black girl's video. In the wake of the murder of George Floyd by four Minnesota police officers, we felt that this was the direction we needed to go in, for this podcast. Songs like The Message (Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5), Black Cop (KRS ONE), a Friendly Game of Baseball (Main Source), and Illegal Search (LL Cool J) to name a few, were songs that hit home for us growing up in hip-hop culture. Also, LL Cool J blessed the world with a passionate monologue and our very own @neff_beatz put some music to it. Let me tell you it is FIRE. Stick around to the end of the podcast and take listen. Note: When we in the hip-hop culture say "F- Da Police" we are not signing out individual police officers. I have family and friends who are truly serve and protect. We are talking about what the Police have represented to the black community since reconstruction and jim crow. It really hasn't changed. And until the good cops begin to call out the bad ones and hold them accountable to what the shield should represent in 2020, "f-Da police will forever be a mantra of sorts. Let us allude our part and local government officials accountable to review current policing policies and effect change. Together, we can all make a difference in humanity. And don't forget to register to vote and not just the general election, but the primary election.
